Everybody was focused on how much the UCL would strain Arsenal and city during the last games nobody realized it’d be harder for Liverpool playing on Thursdays only to turn around and play on the weekend again. Their fatigue was already setting in, just look at their last performances. It was bound to catch up. Might be the beginning of the end for their season.

After Liverpool's last 2 results, both in the Europa League where they lost 3-0 without reply at Anfield and then lost their Premier League encounter with Crystal Palace at Anfield as well I must admit in terms of adding anymore trophies to Jurgen's tally I think any such hope is all but gone.
Liverpool were really up against it in the Premier League with both Arsenal and Manchester City right on their tails in the run-in.
Dropping points away to Everton in the Merseyside derby might have been understandable, or against Tottenham next month but Palace at Anfield.
The sad thing is that I don't really think they looked like scoring in either game.
Obviously it's entirely possible that Liverpool might turn their Europa League tie around in Italy but to score 4 or 5 without reply is huge ask especially away from home.
I have said this once or twice before this season but as good a player as Darwin Nunez obviously is his goals to games ratio is quite poor.
In fact, if I were the new manager I would be tempted to offload the Uruguayan forward and sign Isak from Newcastle.

Underrated comment. Nunez misses too many opportunities but he constantly harasses the opponents back line and makes their life miserable. I understand Klopp wants to rotate and keep legs fresh but Nunez does bring a level of constant pressure that Salah, Gakpo, Jota, Diaz, and Elliot don’t.
The way people talk about Jackson is hilarious, he doesn’t miss anywhere near as much as Nunez. 80m for that guy .
