  • After fighting cancer for 10 yrs, In Feb 2020, I got a massive infection in my chest wall, which caused me to have my breast implant removed. And because of my infection, I was no longer able to have chemo treatments, till the infection went away. And after many years of fighting 3 different cancers, I was on the very last chemo, which only had a very small chance of working. And sadly, I was informed that the cancer was growing so quickly, that I only had 6 months to live. So after talking to my treatment team, and lots of tears and prayers, I agreed with them, and went into Hospice. I did however have one stipulation. I said that if my infection went away, I would talk to my team about going back on the chemo that I was unable to finish. And believe it or not, this did happen. But because of the chemo side effects being so severe, along with the low chance of it working, my treatment team did not approve of this. But praise God, 2 days later, my son showed me an articular online, that was about a new chemo that had a high chance of treating my Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer. This chemo, was somehow approved a year early, and during the Coronavirus Pandemic, that put a halt on U.S. Clinical Trials for cancer treatments . My treatment team and I have been following this medications progress, for about 2 yrs. But before this, we believed that this medication still had at least one more year of clinical trials, which of course, was on hold. But thank God, we were wrong. And after 10 days, I was taken off of hospice, and starting my first infusion of what is now know as Trodelvy (chemical name: sacituzumab govitecan-hziy).
This video is of my first infusion of a 21 days cycle. Basically, I have an infusion on Friday, then another the following Friday, and the third Friday off, for doctors appt. and for my blood counts to recover. This video only shows the first Friday, and how I felt as far as side effects, that evening.

Back in 2010 I had been diagnosed with stage 3b ER/PR positive, HER2 neg Breast cancer in my left breast. I had Chemo, Bilat Mastectomy, with expanders then implants place, Radiation therapy, and hormonal therapy plus Bilat, oopherectomy. After 2 1/2 yrs of treatment, I went 5 yrs with no KNOWN, sign of Cancer.
However, in 2016, I was diagnosed with a rare terminal mediastinal melanoma. with no skin involvement. After chemo failed, a combo immunotherapy treatment every other week, kept me stable till this April 2018. I discovered some new tumors in my lungs, a new chest wall tumor, plus a few other tumors. They said that this was a totally different my Breast Cancer from the one I had already beaten from 2010-2012. That was Metastatic (terminal) Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Oral chemo failed. And I did Radiation for pain. My last Radiation was on Monday 11/19/18. I stopped Taxotere due to my body not being able to tolerate the side effects anymore. Then I did Gemzar, and a number of other chemos, till my oncologist was out of options. We looked into clinical trials. I went to a few other hospitals for second options. But there really wasn't anything left. I basically begged him to let me try one that had very little chance of working. But to me "any chance", is better than "no chance". He was concerned about my bone marrow recovering, having had so much treatment. And he was right. I did one chemo, then had to push it off 2 wks, then had one more. But in January 2020, my open chest wall tumor got infected. Then it opened internally, which exposed my left breast implant that I had placed in 2011, after a mastectomy. I stayed in the hospital to have it removed. Afterword, i still had the infection, which meant that I could not do any chemo's, which I knew my last one to be the only one left. And because of this, along with other factors, my treatment team told me that I would most likely pass in a very short time. So in late Feb. 2010, I went home from the hospital, to spend the rest of my life on hospice. But God had a different plan.

Thank you. The following is a post that I just added to the comments of this video. I am not sure if you will be able to go back to read it, I will post it here for you. I am so sorry for not loading any youtube videos recently. Besides having lots of medical issues, on top of the cancer, my charger for my laptop broke, along with my car breaking down. And the necessity for the money went to fixing my car. And raising that money, took some time. But thank God, I was able to get my car fixed, and get a new laptop charger today! So I will try to get a video loaded real soon. BTW- I have been recording things on my phone. I just haven't been able to upload, and edit these videos. So I will work on those, real soon. I have also been posting on my Instagram, which is posted below. And I also started a TicToc account. You can find me at @thrivingtammyg or simply under my name Tammy Grosso I have quite a few video's on this too. I was also updating on this account, and my instagram, when I was unable to make my CZcams videos. So you might want to check them out, to get up to date with what has been happening with me, over the past few weeks. And I am quite surprised at how many people have been following me on that account. And the comments have been very supportive too, thank God! Thank you for your continued comments, support, and prayers. Love ya'll!!!

Good to see you. Keep crackers in the house to help with nausea? Keep protein drinks in the frig? (Ensure) Hope you feel better soon. I’m rooting for you.

Crackers are something that are always in my house. And just recently one of my kids introduced me to Combos Cheddar Cheese Baked Cracker. They are kind of like regular pretzel Combos, but softer, and easier on the tummy, like regular crackers.
