    Were there bats up in the trees at Mataranka pool ? I remember a very strong smell of them when i was in the water. That was in 1998 ...

    Oh guys, as a Darwin Local, people need to know that travelling the top end of Australia - wether it’s the top end of WA or top end of NT or top end of QLD - the optimal time to aim for is end June/July. From late July/August onwards it’s stinking hot and humid - this is when you should be heading south. Because the Top end of Australia is so close to the Equator, and it seems that our winter finishes earlier every year with global warming. September/October/November we call the Buildup (build up our hopes for cooling rain, with hovering clouds bringing the humidity) but the monsoon season doesn’t start until December/January/February and May last until March/April. Early mornings is the only time to explore and beat the heat, leaving the heat of the afternoons for shade and beer.

    • @nowornever_aus
      @nowornever_aus  Před 2 lety +1

      We were there in July! But we do want to come and experience the build up and the wet too! Alex loved that it was so hot even in winter!

    • @rebeccaw9656
      @rebeccaw9656 Před 2 lety

      @@nowornever_aus Haha, love that! Skip the build up, but the wet can be spectacular in the monsoon season over Christmas/Jan… if we don’t get a cyclone😂

    • @nowornever_aus
      @nowornever_aus  Před rokem

      It’s was a problem with the mother board, not sure if it was the heat that affected it or just a problem with it from factory

    • @nowornever_aus
      @nowornever_aus  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeh it ended up being a faulty control panel. They were great to deal with though and sorted everything out. I think they are pretty much the same fridge as the evakool ones 👍🏻
