    This is the only vid that shows the install on the Wrangler. I was really conserned about the look but went ahead and ordered them. They look great and now I'm waiting for 72 degrees! Thanks for the content.

      Thanks Ben! Yeah I definitely recommend making sure you have warm temps and do a good job prepping and cleaning the surface. I didn’t do quite a good enough job on the ends of the flares so it is pulled away about an inch but everywhere else is holding very strong!

    Thank you so much for the demonstration
    I just ordered the same ones for my ford ranger

    Thanks for the vid! What backspacing are your wheels? I'll be getting new ones soon, and just thinkin will I need the wider or narrower flares...

      @VictorVectorJKU  Před 3 lety

      You bet Juri! Thanks for checking out my video! I am running a 4.25” backspacing. Also If you haven’t already, you will want to consider tire width increase as well! So the backspacing may push your tire centerline further out but also account for half the width of the tire changing too!

    So if you live in the tropics is the heat gun still necessary??

    • @VictorVectorJKU
      @VictorVectorJKU  Před rokem

      Hey there Dirk, thanks for checking out my video! The main reason I used the heat gun was due to it being a cold evening so I needed to bring the temperature of the plastic up to a reasonable temperature for it to bond effectively. It really comes down to the temperature and moisture level you live in!

    How do they hold up to automatic car washes?

      Hey there Roman, thanks for checking out my video! Honestly I couldn’t say, I don’t take my Jeep through car washes. The most I had ever done was a drive in pressure wash booth or I hand wash my Jeep at home.

      Hey Guillermo, thanks for checking out my video! I have a link to the EZ Flares website in the video description that you can order them from!

    I’ve seen lots of bad reviews on these regarding poor adhesion. What’s your experience been with these? Are they falling off yet?

    • @VictorVectorJKU
      @VictorVectorJKU  Před 2 lety

      Hey there Dr. Rob, thanks for checking out my video! So in response to your question about poor adhesion, I found that some materials the 3M tape will stick better to than others and the prep that goes into the install will also impact this. So in my case the textured portions of my plastic flare did not have the best adhesion properties but using heat to prep the surface did significantly help. The smooth surfaces of the plastic fasteners had the strongest adhesion. So I would say any smooth surface will have the best adhesion or apply a decent amount of heat to textured surfaces prior to application!
      Now based on the tires, their size and the offroad driving I do I elected to remove mine a few months ago and I had these installed for about a year. My only issue with adhesion was at the bottom of the flares where they would rub on my tires and other obstacles so on the rear the lowest 1-3 inches would peel away. I believe this is also due to my install in the fall on a cooler evening.
      When the time came to remove these, which I wish I had recorded, they were still very very well adhered to the flare! Like I mentioned before the smooth surfaces had a stronger adhesion than the textured but it required effort to remove them!
      So if you are looking to ordering a set, I highly recommend them! Take your time during your install, apply heat and ensure your surface is thoroughly clean and I think you will be very pleased with them! I hope my feedback helps you make your decision!

      @@VictorVectorJKU, mahalo for taking the time to respond to my question! I have a similar situation with my Jeep in terms of tire size and off-road driving. Have you found a better solution to keeping the side of your Jeep clean without replacing your fenders?

    • @VictorVectorJKU
      @VictorVectorJKU  Před 2 lety

      No problem! I don’t really know of other aftermarket solutions that can be added to the flare to cover more tread of the tire.
      So I have a couple questions on your Jeep and it’s build. I assume you have a wrangler, what year is it? What is your tire size? What size lift do you have? Do your tires rub on the fenders when you are off-roading or are your bump stops set to prevent this?
      The reason I ask is I am running 37” tires on a 3.5” lift and a 1.25” body spacer and have my bump stops set for my shocks but I still will rub on the factory flares. This is a main reason the bottoms of the ez flare would get pulled away.
      So if you don’t have this issue or are running a more appropriate tire to lift ratio you could be better off than me! Also to reiterate the low cost of the ez flares and the quality and durability of them were very impressive to me!

      @@VictorVectorJKU I’ve got a 2013 10A JKUR with a 2.5” Metalcloak game changer lift on 35” STT Pros and 1.5” wheel spacers. I have no rubbing with my stock fenders.

      Ok I gotcha, that sounds like a great build! And with that being the case I honestly think the EZ Flares would work great for you. But I understand being on the fence with any negative reviews you have seen.
