Little disclaimer:
The message at the end of the video is not supposed to belittle people who take Time Trials seriously. I respect top level time trialers, like Blake, who have poured hundreds of hours into tracks and I believe their work in this game is monumental. The message of "it's a game, don't take it too seriously" is directed at people who really just play the game for fun. It's important not to let all the losing in Time Trials get to your head, especially if the reason you play is to enjoy the game.

What made me love TTs was that in 2022 me and a friend made a TT competition, since we were super far away from each other and couldn't play together in the same room. We TT'ed every single track glitchless and 2 or maybe 3 glitches. It was so fun to try to beat each other's times and play every track, that I continued to play TT. So that's what really made me love time trials. Also amazing video!

I don't TT Mario Karts much, my game of preference is CTR, but the reason I time trial, and speedrun the game in general, is because it's simply just fun to drive. It's fun to try to improve and play around with strats and try out different characters and modes and whatnot. TT is the vessel in which I can carry out my greatest joys in CTR, I don't need to PB every day, I just like playing the game, the PB is the adverse effect of playing the game frequently haha

Characters don’t very much, if you’re using the Mach you’ll be ok. In time trials tho you’ll lose about half a second to someone using daisy tho
