Philippians 4:6 - "Worry about nothing, pray about everything. Ask God for what you need, and thank him for all he has given you."
A few years ago I visited my favorite uncle in a rest home who ran our family farm/ranch in Utah. He was in his late 80’s and his health and mind was going. After visiting a while I departed to head home on my way I drove by a hay field that was freshly cut. I pulled over and rummaged around in my car and found a Gatorade bottle. I dipped it in a ditch to get some water and picked some fresh cut hay to put in the bottle. I then Went back to see my uncle, as I walked in his eyes lit up and he smiled as I said, “ here I thought you might like this better than some flowers.” He took the hay and put it up to his nose and breathed in deep. His eyes teared up and with love in his eyes he said,” I never thought I would ever smell this again, thank you”. I set it on the stand next to him told him I loved him and headed on out. He passed a few days later with fresh cut hay next to his bed. Like you said if you have never smelled it, it is the most beautiful smell.
If there is a heaven it should smell like new-mown hay. We make round bales of haylage which are wrapped. On a sunny day that smell escapes through the plastic so we get the aroma then as well. Uncle was lucky as loss of smell is one of the symptoms of dementia.
Amazing!
:)
Heart warming story
Awe... I almost cried reading this.
This video makes me miss my dad. Glad you can record these small moments with your pops. Never take them for granted.
Cole, one of your best videos! You are right, nothing smells better than alfalfa.
I totally agree!
That’s quite an accent: bowls for bulls and kettles for cattle. I’m from CA and can hear it. I love it. ❤️
You and your dad are a great TEAM!!
Manure salesman joke was the best!! Love the smell of alfalfa and new silage.
We are farmers from Missouri. We love your videos.
Nice haircut. Always watch your segments. You guys are hard working.
Thanks so much
I like the Sonne Farms backpack. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
You still have a great Dad and he's as funny as my Dad always was. You're pretty cool yourself with a dry sense of humor. Great video's.
Hi Jeff👋👋👋
the smell of silage is the best to
Looking good Cole with your hair cut!!!
Great video once again Cole keep it up
Thanks again!
Can't beat smell of fresh mowed hay...fav part of my summer at my uncles farm
power washer, snow blower, lawn mower....bane of one's existence1
Awesome Haircut, bet it feels so good!!
I spent about 40 years of my life driving from Minneapolis to Omaha selling industrial plastics. I would stop on the way and watch you, farmers, plant, and harvest.. If I hadn't been married with a kid I would have taken Votec and learned mechanics, welding and taken a job for minimum wage on a farm.
Sounds like joe

Thank you Cole. Great video. I think I was looking forward to haying this year as much as you were. I worked for two dairy farmers during the summers back in my teenage years. We did about 15,000 squares each year. I remember all too well the smell of fresh cut hay and even during baling a few days later. You are right, city folks have no idea what they are missing. Tonight I am going to dream about those good ole days and smell the hay. Thank you for igniting the memories. Great drone footage as well. Looking forward to more videos!
I love the smell of alfalfa
Good video Cole Brian & Jeff stay safe Daniel from central Mississippi
Thanks, you too!
The smell of the Desert from the Monsoon Rains smells just as sweet as new mowed hay. My Aunt had a diary Farm in Wisconsin I smelled both :)
I agree Cole, the smells of nature are very under appreciated.
Now I have something new to add to my bucket list. Go somewhere to find alfalfa to smell
Amazing to watch, only small hay meadows where we live, love to watch you and your Dad.
The videos just keep getting better, thanks for sharing.
Glad to hear it!
I was thinking to myself "when my pressure washer doesn't start, I kick it" and about three seconds later, you kicked it. Made my day.
If I can't start a pull motor after a couple of pulls; I pull the spark plug and dry it out, prime the cylinder, replace the spark plug. It generally starts on the first pull, I absolutely refuse to crank on a flooded engine.
Great video!!!
That was fun riding on the rake, new perspective 😉😊
Manure spreader salesman wouldn’t stand behind it. LOL. And yes love the smell of alfalfa.
silage smells good too
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always!!
Thank you so much 🤗
Hay making is like freshly baked bread.
Getting it done with what you got and doing a good job at it. Nice operation
Hay is big work even with all those machines. When I was a little kid my Grandpa mowed with a 1948 Farmall Cub and a sickle bar mower. Then we had an antique horse drawn rake manually operated. My Grandpa pulled it back and forth across the hay fields while I pulled the rake up to drop the hay in windrows. When it was good and dry we went out with our pitchforks and piled it up in big piles so he could drive the ancient pickup truck with the homemade hay bed on it from pile to pile where one threw the hay up, and the other ran around in a circle to lock the hay together so it wouldn't fall off before we got to the barn. One threw it in while the other moved it back in the loft and piled it to the roof. When he was older, we cut it and raked it and paid fifty cents a bale to have square bales. Much faster and easier.
Amazing!
I really like that drone it shows how much hard work goes into farming
Yaaa Finally Haying season!
All cleaned up and looking slick.😁
Love it .Thanks
I love the sweet smell of alfalfa. It's about the best there is. I love harvesting hay 💓
Love your videos man! Keep up the solid work!
Thanks! Will do!
I agree, fresh cut alfalfa smells great. That deer says it taste good also. If my gas sets up, I usually have to clean the carb. before small engine will start. I hate pulling on starter ropes. Thanks for another great video.
Tell your dad that the advertisement that popped up for this video was for the #1 ED medication "Stay hard for hours". It made me chuckle
Your video footage from the drone overhead (as you were cutting the alfalfa) was just breathtaking! I am now on a mission to find some fresh cut alfalfa --- and then to "take it all in"! Also -- Great PSA on the impact of littering!! Good job Cole and Dad.
Love the smell of fresh alfalfa also
Awsome video like all ways
Cuttin the hay from yesterday. It doesn't get any better than this!
Why is this so satisfying
Haircut looks amazing Cole👍👍
Thanks!!
Northwest Ohio here. I love when our farmers cut hay. You can smell it all thru town. I live on the edge of town, so I get to smell it more. Nothing like it.
Oh wow!
No better smell than that. Love it every time I go harvesting
Great Vid as always! Thanks for sharing your day. That wheel can be sorted no problem then all will be good.
We have the same problem with our power washer but what fixed ours was holding the trigger on the wand when starting. Full throttle with water pumping in and some good old working words does the trick! 👍🏼
Great tip!
I love this stuff.
I can smell that hay in Tennessee.
I don't feel the scent now, but I grew up in farmland and that scent is not forgotten.
This was in the 60s and 70s and it was loose hay at that time.
Sitting on a hay patch when the sun is shining is a wonderful memory.
Great video, thanks
My pleasure!
Love the smell of hay. Also love the smell of turning dirt
Me too!
Cole kickin the power washer 🤣
you are always so good for a laugh :)
We live in Yankton South Dakota and we live on a family farm and some of our irrigators twisted over and broken our friends have that too
Sorry to hear!!
Nice video love hay season
Neat that the cutter can do both sides. Makes sense if you do that.
You know what is even better than the smell of Alfalfa? The smell of natural hay 😊
Cole your gonna scare those cows with your hair cut! Looks good. Looking Forward to the live feed tomorrow night!
Me too!!
That’s soooo satisfying. I wish I could be cutting hay rn.
love this guy😂
I can literally smell the hay...nothing in the whole world smells like fresh alfalfa. If I could bottle it and wear it as cologne I would in a heart beat.
So true it’s the best🙋♀️
Enjoying your content! Loved the time lapse @ 13:10, haha!! Bravo on the comment about the smell of alfalfa, oh yeah! Grew up in PA dairy country, stacked about 10,000 hand bales as a teen... and the scent of freshly mown hay the morning after is just downright therapeutic!
Thanks for watching!
wow you got a hearcut, new boots, great video
Nice video man love this
Appreciate it
i am glad to know i am not the only one that cant get a John deer presser washer to start
My brother used to grow Alfalfa and it is the best smell when freshly cut.
Awesome video thank you
Thanks for watching
You're getting better Cole, you didn't even gag once in this video!

Funny salesman joke ..good one👍😂
Great work bro
Thanks for the visit
Nice
Nice flat hayfield. Lovely land.
Here in southern IOWA we still haven't been able to get hay off happy for you guys, nice haircut
Did you get a haircut just because of tomorrow's live feed ? You know all the girls are going to be watching.
😉
Too much rain?
Really enjoy watching this video, miss that smell of fresh cut hay. Lost Our Neighbor last year now corn where hay was. Hope You can get it all bailed without too much rain on it.
Great video 👍
Thanks for the visit
Nothing like fresh hay, the sweet smell of alfalfa. A bit rich for my horses, fed occasionally as a treat
Yea it is some sweet stuff!
Tractors with front loaders always develop leaks and bearing problems because of the extra weight iv had loads of problems over the years A loading shovel is definitely the best option
Ever pulled the spark plug on a flooded engine, burned the spark plug with a lighter, pulled the cord a couple times, and then put the plug back in? It’s magical.
Hey, Cole, remember that alfalfa eating deer come this fall when you and your brother are out hunting hill and dale looking for him. Nice hair cut too
Thanks!
Did they notice Dad ? I think they did" my new jeans" instant like and sub for me.
Put wipes in the tractor cabs. It’s like magic: no poo smell!
There are always hidden treasures in your videos! Once again, I love learning the process and what each piece of equipment is used for. Thank you. And is Jeff related to you? Trying to figure out dynamics of your farm family.
He is my Uncle!
Have fun replacing that seal. We replaced one on out 5140 maxxum this winter and it was quite the chore.
I love this like my farm
“Beer drinkin’ heathens! Go to church!” LOL
I think the gear oil would be better than the beer can LOL
Wow that's some pretty hey
Yes, Cole. It is still spring.
Beautiful day in Sioux falls!
It was a nice day!
Great Video and really nice looking hay.i hope that you made lots of bales/rolls.
Thank you Frank!!
Finally a hair cut nice and clean looking now
Half slappy got a day off!
Didn't notice the new jeans until you showed us; but did wonder immediately why you had a BackPack on.; but the mystery remains. How does a crushed beer can get into the alpha field in the middle of nowhere, not a road to be seen. Better yet, how did you even see it from the tractor with somewhat dirty windows? I am only half way through the "binge watching" of 2 years vlogs (which have been enjoyable, interesting, humorous) and have heard & seen Jeff. Is Jeff c Co-Owner with Dad or what.? Even though I have been a "City Dweller" for 78 years, I have smelled the sweet, refreshing aroma of newly cut alpha in my travels. 🚜 🚜 🚜🐄🐄🐄🐄 🚜 🚜 🚜
Hey Ken, Jeff is my uncle whom we work alongside wide
yep i miss it
Alfalfa or clover cutting always smells great. A little more paper might spare you the nicotine stains. Lucky you noticed the squashed can.Haircut looks good. Whats the CEO gonna do to top that? Pump sounds like no spark. You country boys look pretty used to the no seatbelt ride. Good vid. Peace.
Thought I saw on
HARTUNG CHANNEL STYLING!
GO BRIAN & COLE.
