They are from Liverpool, England and were at the forefront of pop culture, song writing and studio recording innovations for the decade of 1960 to 1970. Their cultural impact can never be exaggerated, their songs have been covered and reinterpreted by a countless range of artists, so you will undoubtably know more of their songs I'm sure. They went through so many changes of fashion, and took in most musical genres in a wide eclectic mix of songs on each album. They started out with pop love songs, and became a global phenomenon very quickly, releasing hit singles and albums one after the other at an astounding rate, dominating the world charts. They progressed with every album, on into experimental rock and psychodelia in the mid- 60's. Even their drummer, Ringo Starr, would contribute songs, but John Lennon and Paul McCartney were the band's main song writers, and 'Here comes the sun' was a massive hit for their other bandmate, George Harrison, off of The Beatles final proper studio album 'Abbey Road'. Check out 'Come together' for a groovy track, or 'Let it be' for a more spiritual song, or 'Blackbird' for a simple beautiful acoustic ballad.

Watching Kamy vibe out to this song was one of the highlights of my day! As others have said, the Beatles were from Liverpool, England, and were at the forefront of the "British Invasion" of the 1960s. This song was on the last album they recorded (Abbey Road, 1969). The "Let it Be" album was recorded earlier than Abbey Road, but was released later, in 1970, and was the last album released when they were still together. "Here Comes the Sun" was right after the song "I Want You (She's So Heavy)," which is a real vibe, and sonically very dark. This song, with its happy sound and cheerful lyrics, sounded even more bright and cheerful coming after "I Want You (She's So Heavy)."

_The Beatles_ were from California in the same way that _The Beach boys_ were from Yorkshire. Seriously though, all 4 members of the Beatles were Born in Liverpool, England and of course had an immense influence on the course of modern popular music (Rock, Pop etc...). They actually incorporated many of the worlds musical elements and styles in their short but unbelievably creative 7 year existence (Rock, Blues, Country, Folk, Psychedelic, Baroque, Indian and the list goes on and on). We started in a football stadium and it was raining. Just before the start of the walk, the sun came out and everyone started singing "Here Comes The Sun". It was AWESOME!!!!! I had to burst into spontaneous laughter when I heard those words" They are from California, aren`t they?"
If you were to look at your own black history you would find that it was the groups from the UK visiting America who refused to play unless the rules about segregated audiences were cancelled .
The Beatles had such pulling power that what they said about everyone seeing them play ,regardless of colour ,mattered to the money men .
Tina turner was only seen by black audiences until the Rolling Stones invited her to play in their concerts in London .
The Beatles song `Blackbird` is about black people learning to `spread their wings and fly`.
Do you really think Californians in the 1960s would have done this?

Watching her reaction is like watching a baby discover ice cream or fudgecicle. 60 years of incredible contemporary (mostly 21st century) has been locked in some kind cosmic closet, and finally the younger generation is discovering good music. We should celebrate when a young person discovers these treasures of music. This woman will go on to introduce her children and nieces and nephews. As far as the music itself goes, Brian May (lead guitar/songwriter/vocalist) of Queen summed it up best when he said 'The Beatles opened the doors we all just walked through'. He was referring to the foundational inspiration the Beatles had on their own band and all the bands that started up, inspired by the Beatles, in the 60s and 70s and for generations to come.

Where the hell did Cali. come from? lol ! Liverpool, England and by far the greatest band and most influential one in history and not just musically but also culturally. They completely changed the musical landscape in the sixties. They were so far ahead of their time and every other artist that I feel that they're still ahead of their time. The impact that they had on the world both musical and cultural still cannot be fully measured to this day. The sixties gave us both The Beatles and Bob Dylan which is mind boggling. Trust me, that ain't happening again.
Even with the incredible 200 song catalog of John Lennon and Paul McCartney Beatles songs.
(Lennon/McCartney), this one written by George Harrison is the most streamed Beatles song on Spotify with over 700 million plays as of 2021, I don't know what it's up to now. It's just a great, chill vibe positive song and all though nearly impossible for me to say, just may be my favorite Beatles song.
This song is from their last studio album, "Abbey Road" released in September, 1969 and the album is a masterpiece of their final effort. You've probably seen the album cover where the four of them are walking across the crosswalk on "Abbey Road". The image is still out there everywhere today and is one of those iconic images in pop culture history.
    The Beatles & Bob Dylan,
The GOAT'S of popular music. All others who try too stake that claim are merely pretenders to The Throne. Period, end of story. I'll see from time to time it's Queen, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin or The Rolling Stones. All great bands but not these guys. I'll close with this. One hundred and two hundred years from now, these bands will be an after thought but The Beatles and Dylan will still be listened to and studied just as Beethoven, Bach and Mozart are still played and studied and appreciated for their genuis some 200 plus years later. My advice for you two would be, dig deep into these two and appreciate them because it ain't happening again.
    Peace

CALIFORNIA??? You just proved how true the old saying "Fame is Fleeting" really is. When the Beatles were at their peak they were THE most famous group in the world! And they were famous for being the first "BRITISH" band to take over the American music charts. I can't believe you didn't know they were British. Like I said, that proves that fame is indeed fleeting. You can't imagine how famous they were, and now you think they were from California. Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing you, I just think your reaction proves that no matter how famous someone might be today, 40 or 50 years from now the young generation of that future time probably won't know much about the "famous" people of today either. It's just weird how even extreme fame goes away. And believe me, the Beatles had EXTREME fame. Glad to hear you like the Beatles though since I grew up with them and their music. Nice reaction!
