Climbing boots (if no direct TP to Trollheim)
recommended:
2 stamina pots with weight reducing clothing
food to pass aggressive trolls
food armor and weapon to kill a cb 172 at end of quest. No cannon allowed. 40 prayer nice

Really? I didn't have any in my inventory and literally just started the fight.
I was able to use a regular compost I got from the reclined dwarf instead. Apparently it doesn't have to be super!
What a stupid change... sometimes jagex does the dumbest stuff
I just did it without any compost you can just skip the step by giving him every other item

The way you said eadgars ruse made my heart melt.
this quest has a weird mechanic during the Tai Bwo Wannai cutscene where it removes the items in your inventory during the cutscene, and then readds them in a different order. it seems to get rid of any empty spaces in your inventory and move everything up. in case any BA people are reading this, might be something helpful.

just completed this quest on my UIM, with no food remaining, 7 HP and no prayer, by running in for a desperate DDS before i died. Man I should have brought more food, but I guess it worked

On boss fight if doing melee get on east side of bird. Next to the rocks right over the opening into the stronghold. The stun att only sends you 2 tiles so quick return to att bird
Following your quest list to get to this quest... because I want the extra herb patch
eternal slayer ring comes in hand for teleing close to the stronghold entrance. just tele to rellaka slayer cave with it

I already had the dung so I followed your directions to skip to the part where you go to Trollheim.. I can't search the pot, it gives me the dialogue box saying "Im not sticking my hands in there without a good reason"
So what if you have to teleport out of the fight against the Giant Roc, do i need to resupply "My Arm" again with the cure, rake, seed dibber and spade?
You might have to talk to my arm to fight the second bird
my arm was so sore after my arm taking me to all these places

If you don’t have dung in your bank then check to see if you have the Red Hot Sauce in the bank before you got to get the dung.

this is my 3rd to last quest for me to finish. then making friends w my arm. then a night a the theatre. crazy how im past base 90s and done with quests and achievs. im in end game yet i havnt even started grinding my combat skills and slayer or done any combat bosses yet. :D
Interesting that you don't gain normal hp xp from killing the giant roc. makes it possible on a 10hp, i'm thinking of venoming it with blowpipe since i only need to hit on it a few times

I want to die, i tried so hard to get the dung only to realize you can only get it DURING the quest. You cannot buy it on GE and you cant get it by giving the camels hot sauce and picking it up with a bucket and spade in inventory.. just doesn't work. I think you need to get it while doing the quest.. idk

Don't bother trying to bring a bottomless bucket of compost or lunars for the patch. You have to bring actual separate buckets.

I seriously advise you not to just skip through all the dialogue in this quest, there is quite a lot of funny dialogue in it.(skip on the ship)

make sure u have 60% TBW favor before doing this quest, cause if doing this quest without 60% TBW favor, u cant use fast method to get 60% favor (killing snake or spider)..
1:30 I don't know why, but the combo of "Lets start the quest by..." then instantly getting smacked for 11hp the second you entered the door made me laugh really hard... I've been questing for too long...

I DID IT I FUCKING DID IT!!! Thanks @Slayermusiq1 for your amazing quest guides but the safespot doesn't work and I beat it after losing 100k to dying so I made my own strat. I used granite sword and hit it and the beginning of the hit animation happened I ran right under it and ate a pizza if I was hit and repeated until it finally fucking died.

Please help me, since I gave the Plant curr, I gave the Spade and then I kind of lost the Hardy Gout Tubers and I don't know what to do. I've been to Tai Bwo and don't want to give Hardy Gout Tubers again
Just give him a seed dibbler again. He has plenty of those.
Bring full rune or better melee gear, and pray mage and run and attack him then back run attack him pretty easy, with melee no magic needed
So it appears you don't need 60% Tai Bwo Wannai favour, as I done the quest with 26%.
And one more teleport after the quest.........is.........com........PLETED.
I had no food left at the end of the fight, jeesus hahah
well looks like i need to clean out my bank hahaha
