God, whoever did the spritework for this game did such a great job. Everything look so clean and fluid, and I feel the scares when we get to play it are gonna be genuinely scary.
I am GENUINELY excited about this! It looks terrifying, like an actual horror game. Maybe more like a traditional horror game than all of FNaF, ironically... The sprite art is sooooo goooood I can't even. I love the retro style without byte constraints. It is soooo fluid. You can have all the frames nowadays, so why not go all out? You get the best of both pixel art and animation if you got the skill. They got the skill. I think it IS the team that did Super FNaF, they have been noticably mia for a while. I was wondering if Into The Pit would get a game adaptation, it just seemed ripe for it. It stands out from the rest of the books, and the "time travel but not, actually looped memories" could make for an Oxenfree style loop gameplay which would be amazing for FNaF. Plus maybe we get some actual answers about the MCI. I hope the music is good. I want a retro score. Been blasting 1970s classics myself but some nice horror chiptunes are always welcome. This was word vomit I apologize.
The side scrolling format seems like the perfect format to adapt other fazbear frights books, but given the lack of fazbear frights branding and how good the animation is(which is probably the reason it took so long according to Scott), but idk if that’s what they’re going for
this is a game adaptation of a book, of course things are different to make it an interesting game, i think we should take it like the movie novel, both book and game are canon but game is the supreme source of canon information
My hope is that, if this is successful, that they make other games based on the most relevant short stories to the games' main lore. I remember that I just stopped caring about reading the FNAF books when I was younger, I think I got through 2/3 of the stories from "Into the Pit" and gave up. Given Scott has become so dependent on the books to convey story beats for the games, I've really had to get my understanding of all these things like agony, the Stitchwraith, and the Mimic from second-hand sources. Heck, I still don't even know what the Stitchwraith is. If Scott could have this studio make adaptations of a few of these Fazbear's Frights stories, specifically the ones that are pertinent to understanding the mainline games, then it would go a long way to making all the post-Sister Location lore more digestible to newcomers. It may even help to combine overlapping elements of various Fazbear's Frights and Tales from the Pizza Plex stories as necessary.
The books aren't necessary to read to understand the mainline games, they can provide some extra insight on some details but they aren't something you need to keep up with. If you follow the games you get all the relevant info you need outside of specific details.
@@johnman8398 While that's true for the main story, like what's going on from game to game, so much important background knowledge and info comes from the books. William Afton and Henry were both introduced in the books, and their eventual character reveals in FNAF 6 wouldn't be anywhere near as impactful without the context of the Silver Eyes trilogy. Similarly, Henry's connection to the Puppet/Charlie wouldn't have any real significance if we didn't already know he had a daughter, which the Silver Eyes told us about. Ideas like agony and remnant seem to be incredibly important to understanding FNAF Help Wanted and beyond, but I don't think they've ever gotten more than passing references in the games. The only thing from the games that references "remnant" that I can think of off the top of my head is the Scooper blueprint from FNAF 6.
@@dmk_yt There's background information but none of it is mandatory. FNAF 6 is just as impactful with or without the Silver Eyes Trilogy, in the vast majority of people played FNAF 6 without even reading the books. The Trilogy isn't canon to the games so beyond 3 name reveals nothing of much importance was lost and even then you find that out in the games anyway. FNAF 6 gives all the context you need for Henry's connection to the puppet and her story. And again none of the events that take place in the novels happened in the same way in the games or straight up didn't happen. Remnant and agony honestly aren't really important concepts to understand and is barely touched on in the games. HW and beyond is about AI there is speculation that remnant and agony is involved but that remains to be seen.
Between the Mimic in Ruin and this, I'd say the game continuity will pick and choose from the expanded material to include in its own continuity. The novels are just a breeding ground for what to do in the main product, the product that sells the most.
Since screenshots with the FFPS characters damaged in a dumpster imply that this game takes place after FFPS the point of this game is most likely meant to show just how canon to the games Stitchline has always been shown to be, like how TMIR1280 confirms that the story and a lot of Stitchline takes place after the events of FFPS, with no implied lore difference. And like how "Room For One More", which has Snack space -a location only seen in Stitchline and SB- acts a a continuation of SL, with the Funtime already being gone, and only the Minireenas remaining, due to not having cables that can fuse with Ennard.
So from the trailer everything seen is on the final day in the past when spring bonnie shows the kids bodies. The running and hiding part seem to be after he has seen the bodies. They are smart with only showing the scary parts but I would have loved to see spring bonnie being his dad.
Well Scott already said that SOME are connected directly into the games. I think the real question rn is Tales Games. Scholastic does get their info from Scott, and they have said directly that the books do take place in the most recent FNAF games. Their canonicity is debatable at best however, and I have two separate timelines of events. One of the Tales are, and one if they aren’t. I will admit if Tales are in the games it makes the timeline so much easier to understand, but at the potential cost of William Afton. Books or not I think Mimic works without Afton, as it’s books were being written when HW came out, it’s got tears and drool like Edwin did when he infused the Mimic with agony, and wears costumes very similar to the Mimic’s from ruin. Also Helpi, aka Helptrap from HW2’s files, is a corrupted VANNI Helpi AI with the Mimic’s eyes and purple veins like Glitchtrap. Also Helpi states he can replicate voices he hears and edit them to lure the bots into more strategic locations. Glitchtrap replicates Tape Girl’s voice and likely altered some of her tapes by editing her voice to lure us into reassembling them. Helpi in HW2 gets furious if we don’t open the presents, and if we do we get killed by Glicthtrap is Burntrap’s charging pod. Also Grimic can hear us talking to Helpi, who he argues with, INSIDE the VANNI mask. If Tales are just parallels, then they tell us that there is an Endoskeleton who wears a springlock suit and a corpse on seperate occasions, changes his appearance, has bunny ear Endo parts, and has two clawed sharp hands. It also says that a boy dies in a SpringBonnie suit resembling Afton’s, with functional springlocks in which he dies in. His body is never recovered. Who has an OG SpringBonnie suit? Burntrap. Sorry that became a Glicthmimic, Mimictrap, and Helptrap rant.
@@doughytown4188 I can’t find the exact post rn, I advise you to look, but scholastic essentially came out that they did change their statement, then reverted it. They reverted it to better advertise the actually contents of the books. But removing the books entirely, my points still stand
I've gotta say as a fan of old school kinda horror games rather than mascot horror this is the first FNAF game since the literal first one that look genuinely scary to me. Like my standard of what scares me in games is just SUPER HIGH so its certainly a thing of praise when I can say a trailer made me tense up a bit like that's a version of Springtrap I wish existed in the main games lol.
I hope this game ends up being canon but in the sense of it being an arcade game in the pizzaplex because we have gotten frights characters in the plex arcades and it would be a cool way to canonize this without fucking up the canon
U know if this game is taking place in the 1985 pizzaerja with the missing children’s incident, the fact that a baby poster is shown is very telling bc this could be proving that’s Elizabeth died before the MCI, but the fact toy Bonnie is their throws me off also, but at the same time the more we see the more I’m starting to think that Gibis 9 hour video wit his timeline at the end is more and more accurate, which would make sense since he spent about 9 hours dissecting Fnaf 😭😂, love the video daddy squawk, would love to watch u stream reacting to Gibis 9 hour video or his uploaded timeline which is about an hour long, could stream it, I really think it’ll give you some new thoughts and probably show u theirs still sum things u don’t know bc ik for sure I learned new things lmao, love ya boo plz keep streaming n uploading 😘
so, i guess we are never actually going to get any awnsers to lore related to the original games, and it seems that scott is simply going to milk the books untill the end of time. Bravo!
It's really offputting. It's weird saying it, but this is probably the most traditional horror-like content coming from the official series
God, whoever did the spritework for this game did such a great job. Everything look so clean and fluid, and I feel the scares when we get to play it are gonna be genuinely scary.
I feel like it might me a team doing the sprites because if it’s just one guy doing that section he must not sleep that often cuz that is AWESOME
could you imagine the reaction if the spritework was done by the Super FNaF guy? It would be catastrophic! (in a good way)
Why is this genuinly more terrifying than most horror games, wow
It looks absolutely insane ! The animations are so smooth and Pit Bonnie is just terrifying !
This was one of my favorite stories from the books, looks super cool!
I would absolutely love for this to be the canon version of into the pit like you said. That sounds amazing

The animation in the trailer as veey good, can't wait for the game.
I like your idea that this could be one of the "indie games" from help wanted, that would also explain a lot of the mixed matches references.
honestly that might be the best timeline for this game being canon
