I bought this machine because of your video and I could safely say everything you said in the video is 100% true ...... Best review video good job brother
How has it help up?
@@TrueCody I'm still using it the battery still runs about 6 hours and the power never failed
Lol just found your channel going through the reviews now 👌👌👌
Ambition has been decent for awhile....idk why so many ppl dislike this company cause there customer service is great and there machines are quality
Yes! I have not had to contact customer service yet, all my machines are running tip top.
hEY man nice video\s keeps me entertained, but I have a question an uyou've done video's on both pens.
I almost bought the ninja last night but wanted to research alittle more which of the two do you like better this one or the ninja?
Do they make disposable grips so you don’t have to autoclave the grip everytime
Hello I’m looking to buy a good all rounder machine and I’d like your opinion. Im in between the ambition ninja, dragon hawk armor pro and the mast archer. Which one would you recommend out of these and do you have a better option that I have not yet considered within this budget? Thank you for your time brother.
Hey man, sooo would you go for this one or the mas fold pro?
Hey have you tried the storm wand ? My grip is very tight to screw on and the middle part has come off. Very annoying
Damm that sounds really impressive on the battery life. Lol The wireless Solong EM139 that I bought will also run for 12-13 hours of non stop tattooing and doesn't seem like it wants to die. What about the Ambition Ninja, which one is better in your opinion between the Ninja and Soldier by Ambition? By the way subscribed.
Have you tried the ambition storm wand? What did you think ?
Hey man. Thanks for your reviews. I want to buy my first pen and after alittle research I settled on the Ambition Soldier.
How do you know whether the motor is genuine? Also please share a link to the Ambition soldier pen with German motor
Can you make a vid for this tattoo pen on how to change it to a 4mm stroke
Brutal !!!
i know that we are in the cheaper times and alot of companys `` copy `` the real thing . but how long does these cheap machines last ? im sure they do the job but what is the life span of a machine like the soldier ?
I'd love to know if the mummy battery fits on the ambition soldier. Intervals of 0.1V & I believe a lower start-up voltage. Is it something you can confirm or de-bunk?
I'll try to get my hands on a mummy battery
Hey there bro, love your videos and the honesty you work with. I'd love your opinion on the Exo clone bro, have you used it, is it worth it? Thanks in advance for your time and keep keeping it real Rancho (yup Im subscribed to both English and Spanish channels)
Sorry for the super late reply, and thank you for the support, the EXO is a great machine.
Where can you purchase the german motor?? Thank you
I just ordered mine , so you still feel like this ?
Volts for packing !!?? For beginner slow hand speed
Heyyy, thank you so much for your videos they are so helpful. I‘m a tattoo beginner and do mainly line work and just packing black. Which machine from aliexpress would you recommend for the long run, now that some months have passed? Thank you so much!!
Hello, well the robot dong I use as my daily pain machine is the AMBITION NINJA. My back up is the MAST FLIP, and the back up to my back up is the XNET TITAN. Hope this helps. please check out my how to tattoo videos, they might have something that you could add to your thought process while tattooing.
Same one, its packed. Just got it and worths though.
Hi, great vid!
Quick question: Which one would be better to start with Soldier or Ninja?
Want to do the lining and shading, just blackwork :)
@TheWawawoach
Ive been searching non stop but i figured id give asking ya since i cant find an answer. I just got the soldier. It really is impressive. I was trying to figure out if i can get another size cam for it. Im switching from coils to rotary. And found myself having a bit of an issue with shading. Getting it smooth. Read through the comments and saw you said you run it around 6. But really just wondering if i need to get a cam from ambition or if i can put on a third party cam from somewhere. Hope this gets to you because im dying to know. Thanks for all your knowledge nuggets.
Thank you for stopping by 🙏. The short answer is yes. You can get a cam from Ambition or you can get a cam from a different supplier. I think the shading isn't smooth on this machine because it is incredibly hard hitting. I don't use this for shading, color and line work.
@@Tanstattoo gotcha brother, do you have a machine you would recommend for shading?
with rotary it depends on your stroke. longer, slower, I line around 7 with a 4. With a shorter stroke a little faster, but for shading I run faster, like 8-8.5 with a 3.5mm stroke and ensure I'm exercising organic give. Direct drive hits way different from a coil and everything is almost opposite.
@@DanWilson420 really? I gave shading at around 6 a shot. And i gotta say it was alot easier and softer. I was under the same impression of going in the 8's for shading. But it was just not working for me. Maybe still not used to this hard of a hit. Im sure using bugpins would help but got some standard CM for the meantime
@@DanWilson420 also been trying to get a 3.5 from ambition. But its a loosing battle so far.
tutto vero quello che dici ti innamorerai di questa macchinetta specialmente per le linee ;)
I'm curious to know iif you are still using it and if you opinion is different from 2 years ago? Great videos - thank you for doing what you do!!
2nd this
I'm trying to decide between the mast saber and the ambition soldier.. Im wanting to try various styles of tattooing.. Wat would you recommend 🖤
Thank you for stopping by, I honestly loved my saber but it didn't last long, it ran for about 6 months solid but after that the machine feels weak. Even if I crank it way up the motor just feels weak. The soldier is still running, but I would prefer the adjusting grip on the saber over the soldier. The ninja is still a very solid tattoo machine. Joshermantattoo on Instagram talks about the soldier. Check out the posts he did on August.
@@Tanstattoo OK awesome.. I'll go with the soldier.. Im so stoked I came across your vid.. I thought I was set on the saber.. Cheers for the heads up 🤘🤘🤘
Hi, thank u for the great review! Absolutely love it! Just watched another video of urs and now wondering if I should pick up Mast tour pro or this one what would u recommend? I need something that is good for both lining and shading (mostly black color). I am begginer and had experience only with cheap Chinese induction machines
Thank you for stopping by 🙏 what type of style will you be doing if I may ask?
@@Tanstattoo actually I have no idea. For now I just do some small tattoos ( only lines, can't shade so far). I don't really know how to choose a style cuz I just started my tatto journey
@@marynaionutsa3137 go for the EZ portex gen 2
Hey so I have this machine and I switched to the 4.0 but when I put the actual needle cartridge in it stops working. But when I take out the cartridge its starts working again. I've tried taking it apart again and redoing it but it's not working with the needle can you help me please? I've had it for only a month. And the longest I've used it for was 3 hours.
Make sure the cam is screwed on right is the only possible thing I can recommend.
Quick question, what would you go for? Ambition Ninja or an Ez P2S. I’m tired of buying machines over a 1000 dollars lol
Thank you for stopping by 🙏 I have not tried the I would go for the Ninja, the weight is more balanced in the hand vs the p2s, the p2s feels like the Ambition soldier in the hand. I like the grip system in the p2s much more than the grip system in the Ninja. So if you're going for black and gray then go for the P2S, if you're going for color go for the Ninja.
@@Tanstattoo nice, thanks for the reply. I use the spektra flux a lot so even though I do black and grey, I’m pretty used to the 4.0 cam. I just kind of want to know which is the better bang for your buck basically, cause the p2s is a lot cheaper but is it the better machine?
I had just bought the machine not too long ago and I was wondering can I use any tattoo needle cardridges from any brand or does the needles have to be by the ambition brand?
Yea you can use any cartridges but I guess u already found out
@@Sofia-eo1yd yea ik now lol thanks tho!
Hey I really like your review right now I’m using a normal rotary machine tattoo starter. Mor focus on lining and lettering. And start shadowing.Which one do you think is better for me the ambition soldier or the ez portex generation 2s(p2s)???
The portex gen 2 can produce smoother shading over the soldier. While the soldier can easily put lines in more so over the Portex gen 2. It's really on you to make that call. They can both do any tattoo that you throw at them. You just have to know what you're doing, but if I was getting a machine based on just letters I would go Ambition Soldier no doubt.
Thank you for respond in amazing reviews. I like your reviews thanks
And about the ambition ninja?
@@luesleydasilva2828 I would go with ninja, it's incredibly balanced for letters.
which needle cartridges do you use with it?
I use many brands, my main 3 brands are CNC police, V-select, Hawink/Quelle. Those are my default brands
helloo! i really like the way you explained about the machine, im a new tattoo artist and i wanted to get shocking pink wireless machine that cost around 150-250ish, any recommend from you? Thank you so much!
Who makes this machine?
How’s it going. Would you chose this machine or the mast flip for line work
Thank you for stopping by, I would go with this machine for linework and color packing. I would absolutely not use it for black and gray. This robot dong hits way too hard for smooth shading.
Would u recommend any of the ambition machines for black and gray
Would you chose this one , the mummy , Xnet plus, or Mast Archer ? For me Im doing black, grey and color.
the black and gray out of this machine is a bit textured in my opinion, like realism is out the door, not in the soldiers ball park, at all. Color and textured black and gray is stellar. I have never tried the XNET PLUS, but all XNET machines run the same. What mummy machine are you talking about, I've seen 3
@@Tanstattoo CZcams keeps deleting my replies. If yoy search up “Daniel Yuck Mummy” the machine Im talking about should pop up. Use the link in his description to go to the amazon page. CZcams wont let me put it in the comments. So are you saying get the Xnet ? I’ve also heard good things about the mast archer.
@@lostfiles5517 Those are some of my options too. I’m wondering 💭 too
Love your channel. I am a tattoo apprentice so (noob) but I have been painting and illustrating for over a decade. I am having a hard time choosing my first machine. I am looking for a pen and not too concerned on investment price, I'm willing to pay if it's worth it.
Any recommendations for my first buy?
I do mostly thick line work with stipling.
Hello welcome, so I put a list together on machines I've tried for stippling, and shading.
1. Mast LANCER
2.Mast FLIP
3.Wjx MAXON
4 Ambition NINJA.
You also mentioned you're an apprentice, ultimately I would ask your mentor what he believes is best for your style.
@@Tanstattoo Right on, thank you. After a long period of indecision I actually decided to pick up the mast tour pro with the german motor. The whole shop uses almost strictly Cheyenne. Eventually I'll need two machines and can pick up something higher end later if need be.
Thanks for writing back.
Is your art on IG?
What brand of needles do you use?
Thank you for stopping by 🙏, I use Stigma, Quelle, Cnc police, Vselect and WjX.
Since xnet and ambition are the same brand . Could you please tell me if batteries from xnet titan would fit into this soldier or ninja ?
Thank you for stopping by, no they do not fit. If you watch the video you will see the type of battery on the Titan
I have a Titan video, you can check it out.
@@Tanstattoo thanks mate I had the titan but it was stolen from me in my shop.... Was solo nice machine . And now I'm searching for something in replace would you recommend more this one or xnet flux ? Flux is compatible with grip and second battery that I'm left with. Is soldier smaller ?
@@adamtochuj the Titan and flux can interchange the grip and batteries. The ninja is much taller than the flux and the Titan but it is thinner than the Titan and flux.

I prefer the Ninja
rad how you have this video in both english and spanish
Awesome!! Have u tried out the Ambition Troll??
I have not bro
How to find out if the cam stroke is actually 4mm? Like where do you measure from on the eccentric wheel cam?
I don't know if this is a real question, I hope not, because this is information, a simple Google search can give you, and trying to reply to comments and questions on my CZcams channels is extremely time consuming. I feel like this is one of those questions that takes like 3 seconds to search on Google vs opening CZcams and selecting the comment section, then commenting the question and finally waiting for a reply. I feel like it's a huge waste of time to both parties involved. Since we're here let's do this champ. Get a measuring tool that can measure millimeters. Slap a cartridge on your machine. Line up the tip of the needle to the tip of the cartridge, while the machine is off, that's the starting point. Finally turn on your machine and measure from the tip of the cartridge to the tip of the needle while it's running. You won't get an exact number to what the machine claims to be but you'll be extremely close. So for example let's say you have the New Jackoff be the company YOU and it claims to have a 4.0. if you follow these steps you'll land somewhere in the 3.8 or 3.9 because the needle is moving so you can't get a precise measure. There are other methods but that's all the time I'm willing to give this question. Hope that helps champ.
@@Tanstattoo it actually was a real question. I’ve looked all day to see where to measure the cam / eccentric wheel. Like from the motor shaft hole on the cam to the edge of it or what. I’m glad there’s another way to find out what stroke my machine is. I appreciate your response.
@@Tanstattoo thanks for your time. Definitely helped.

Hello! Do you prefer this over the clone Flux? Thank you
Just an additional to my comment:
I saw in one of the comments on your Flux review that they do hit the same etc. but was thinking about the overall comfortability, since the Soldier already won the battery life, extras, and case. And since the soldier’s battery is heavier than the pen, was thinking if the flux is still a better choice.
@@JaizeDee the flux has is a more comfortable machine because the grip is slightly larger.
The Exo is one smooth running and tatting machine.. hits very smoothly like it's got some sorta give system.. yet it doesn't... it simply doesn't hit hard
This one or the mast Lancer? Your recommendation as to the better choice.
Thank you for stopping by, well what style of tattoos are you focused on right now?
Black and white
Grey I mean
@@thomascameron5655 I would go with the lancer over this one for black and gray, but I would go with the mast flip over any tattoo machine for black and gray.
Hey bro. What Ambition Soldier pen is that? All I see are the Japanese motor ones. I guess I don't need to buy a bishop wand packer lol
I think it's the german motor, I can't check it because I don't have it anymore.
Been tattooing over 20 years just got the ambition soldier got ambition cartridges which I think suck way too tight seven liner was like a tight tight five got better cartridges but still find very rough healing discouraging feels like when I first started tattooing what voltage do you run for lining shading and packing in color thank you for this video hope to hear from you soon
Thank you for stopping by. Hello first of all let me ask are you a coil guy?
@@Tanstattoo yes for 20
@@Monstersmash-vk7jk lol yes direct drive is basically a beefed up liner with absolutely no give. So you have to put very little pressure. Also in the video I mention it is a very hard hitting machine. This rotary hits harder than most rotary machines I've ever used. For shading I would use 6 to 6.5 voltage color I would use 7 and lining 7.5 to 8 depending on the how big a needle size you're lining with.
@@Tanstattoo thank you very much for this info greatly appreciated sir
Does any cam wheel fit I want to change it to a 3.5 stroke and don’t know what to buy if you or anyone can help I really appreciate it
