    Awesome vid on drop shooting, im from Australia and we don't seem to use it here. Id love to give it a go in the salt for flounder and flathead. I think hook choice would perhaps need to change to a worm hook to thread through the larger lures.

    I loved your comprehensive explanation of the topic! One thing I am still wondering is what weights to fish. I am currently looking at a MajorCraft N-One Mebaru Solid Tip 0-5g and I am a bit unsure if 5g is enough to dropshot effectively for small perch in quiet water or if a 10g rod (like you use in the video) is the minimum really.. thank you.. please keep up the great work 🙏🏽

    I would love to show you how to fish with a diving minnow set up,but as live baiting is now illegal in Scotland it doesn't really work with artificials as smell was part of the attraction.It could be deadly for perch and trout especially with the odd pike showing up.

    • @AndrewsKnots

      I use barbless hooks and in most cases by close inspection I can see where the hook's point is and then I push the hook back slightly to free the hook..

      @AndrewsKnots  Před 3 lety

      @@TheFishingNomad ok, I won't be able to explain that as I can't get into fishes heads; if you are asking for my opinion, I think it will be to do with lure ending up at similar distance from the bottom as fishes eyes (as in difficult for them to miss the lure)..

    • @TheFishingNomad
      @TheFishingNomad Před 3 lety
