    In the vast reaches of our solar system, Jupiter reigns supreme as a gigantic mystery, captivating scientists and astronomers for centuries.
    Just when we think we understand the gas giant, this celestial behemoth shatters our assumptions. With its blend of unpredictable and often hostile behavior, mesmerizing storms with winds of up to 640 kilometers per hour [400 miles per hour] and the enshrouded mysteries of concealed metallic oceans within its core, Jupiter still leaves scientists puzzled.
    Join us on an extraordinary journey as we delve into the depths of this enigmatic world, uncovering its secrets.

      @witext Před 4 měsíci

      The sun has probably been hit a lot. But it would make no difference to the sun.
      Interestingly tho, due to orbital mechanics, an asteroid in the asteroid belt would need to lose ALL its speed for it to hit the sun which is very unlikely so today the sun is prolly not getting hit a lot if at all by big asteroids

    Since astronomers decided Pluto is no longer a planet, I propose that we stop calling all trapped asteroids moons. Moons should have a small limit of 100KM diameter and be spherical in shape. I realize this would mean that Mars doesn't have have moons, and I'm fine with that. As humans we look at our moon, and see the origin of the word. In our minds it describes a fairly large object in our sky that is mostly spherical. I believe this definition should carry forward without dilution. It does not create a picture in our mind of just any natural satellite, trapped asteroid, etc. Before long, people will be calling basketball size objects moons! Let's not do that! Let's keep the original definition intact and not water it down to mean just any natural satellite! It is something that should be easily visible from the perspective of someone standing on the surface of the planet, not a random trapped asteroid.
