02-06 Escalade rear window replacement with Tahoe/suburban/Yukon glass

This is my quick how to on converting the Escalade brake light and rear glass to Chevy/gmc rear glass. You can use the glass and brake light from a Chevy Tahoe, Chevy suburban, or GMC Yukon from 2000-2006
This saves a lot of money over the Escalade hatch and spoiler.

Nice mod first time I've seen a Escalade take a tahoe glass and 3rd break light usually the other way around

Do you remember if you had to drill a hole in the center behind the light?
Also what size drill or anything special that’s needed to keep the screw from falling out?

Sorry for the late reply. I drilled holes I don’t remember the size, but they just need to be big enough for the screws you use. I put the light in place and used the window to center the light and mark the holes.

@@austinsmith9306 After finding out I had to drill the holes, I’ve been second guessing the transition. But my current window has no light and the moulding is all brittle and broken

I’m looking to do the same , I just bought an 04 Escalade and the third brake light is not working and I can’t find a replacement. Do you know if the rear glass of an 07 and up will fit older models?

I dont believe so. My escalade got stolen about a month after this video.... I would like to see it done if it is possible though.

@@theslotmessiah I think so, the gmt800 platform trucks was from 1999 to 2006. So it should fit the same.
