One UI is a software overlay developed by Samsung Electronics for its Android devices running Android 9 “Pie”. Succeeding Samsung Experience and TouchWiz, it is designed to make using larger smartphones easier and become more visually appealing. To provide more clarity, some elements of the UI are tweaked to match the colors that are based on the color of the user's phone. It was announced at Samsung's developer conference in 2018, and was unveiled in Galaxy Unpacked in February 2019 alongside the Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Buds and the Galaxy Fold.

Back in 2016, i was amazed of how clear that TouchWiz 7 is, and now i'm just upgraded from TouchWiz 7 to One UI 4.0 and that was a BIG differences

I've heard ONE UI 3 was the best update for Samsung phones and through this video, it's 100% correct. I wish they have their own OS and not heavily dependent on Google.

You want another OS, Samsung TVs already miss out on most apps because they use Tizen.
Samsung Bada/Tizen died the same way Windows, Symbian, BlackBerry and MeeGo died..

It's a Android Software Overlay called OneUI, Formally called Samsung expirience and touchwiz, Samsung adds layers over the Android System to Change the system's design and adds more features and it's the best interface than other Android Phones
It's the first time trying one ui 5.1 and I loved it!!
OneUI went from an annoying android skin to the best android skin in a smartphone. Kudos to Samsung!

Its even better than vanilla android (Google Pixel's) itself, some fatures are available for years before went to vanilla android.

I never liked samsung experience to be honest, I love One UI and it was the reason for me to get an s22 ultra.
One UI Was Initally Started As Ok But Not Great At Android Phones But Thanks To Samsung Which Gradually Started Improved UI (Sine One UI 2) :)
One ui 5 can also change color of the icon matching your wallpaper..it's amazing
I Love most the Samsung Experience. I am using still the Galaxy S7 because it is running on Samsung Experience Home. And how can I forget my Galaxy S5's Touchwiz Home. So good and unforgettable.

Earlier, I use to loathe Samsung's icon shape. But after using One UI, I can say that I can never go back to Chinese Phones. The only thing I miss in Samsung is Notification organization.
Bring back the oneui 2 panel ;( I liked to see how it followed my finger while I scrolled it. Now it's like, a little scroll and everything shows at the same time
Before they used the Roboto Condensed font in Samsung Experience, such as in important titles within applications or other elements of the phone, but now they are back to using everything evenly as in TouchWiz. The truth is that I liked Samsung Experience much more than OneUI Home, first, because of the app icons, a bit more simplified than OneUI's, but much more colorful and more comfortable in my view, in addition to the square edges, and not rounded like now in OneUI, I would not have wanted to update my Galaxy S7 to OneUI, but no way.

Since *TouchWiz, Samsung* gained *Experience,* then developed it to *OneUI* 💪🏻🤩
Ive had of history of touchwiz and One UI. Ive used touchwiz on my note 5 from lollipop to Nougat and it held up pretty well. I've used touchwiz on the note 8 and the note 9 before the One UI update and i do gotta say. After the update the note 8 ran way better but the note 9 on One UI was unlike anything ive ever experienced.
Watching this evolution is like going from the classic Nokia ringtone to a full-blown K-pop concert
Never used samsung tho was amazed others using it and now have s24 ultra

One UI did that when broken software update is not aggressive pop up anymore compared to Samsung Experience (This is a fact)

same that's one of the reasons why I switched to Samsung. I hate the Google pixel Ui.
I like of both but OneUI is rich-features, always expensive iOS smartphones lacks of this features

Best functionality/customizability and hardware (overall). Very Oldschool UI Design. Not harmonious enough design-wise.
But the pros of One UI are so impacable that I´m still using Samsung Devices, since the Galaxy S2.
Pixel OS looks SO much better, but lacks so many features, that One UI is still more suitable for my daily usage. Without root, Pixel-phones are unusable for me as a satisfying daily driver. But it looks so much more coherent.
Samsung needs to adapt Material You better and at least needs to give the User the freedom to change the Quick Settings-Design. Those small icons are a mess.
Without Repainter the color scheme is a mess too.
I am very happy how I can customize everything. Especially trough Good Lock. Secure Folder is so well thought and build. But Samsung is sticking to its Design-DNA too stubbornly.
But I can imagine that the vast majority would be raging if so, but the tech youtubers seem to have a similar opinion in relation to AOSP or other Manufacturers.
But as the iOS of Android AOSP is just not feature-rich enough.
But I can image, that an actually modern and pleasing looking One UI would be too superior.
Sticking to Qualcomm globally again, is a big step in the right direction. One UI 6 too, as it appears. For now.

Same if I am Samsung fan, Material You is a mess in OneUI and performance is really a problem in rich-features interfaces like OneUI and MiUI, but at least stock icons are good, I use they in my KDE installation

For One ui 6 they already include Samsung music and Samsung video library to no longer download from the galaxy store.

Without a doubt, Android was the company that improved the most in everything. I've been using Android since I bought my first cell phone in my life. I have always used and taken good care of this cell phone. No complaints!
Android aren't really a company, they are community and opensource system, Samsung and Google are companies that do and add things in Android (AOSP)

Drag and drop in current ONE ui, still not perfect as iOS. For example I want to drag a photo to another app, I can’t even touch when I am dragging unlike in iOS.
Use two apps screen (aka multi-tasking) and work like a charm or better that in iOS :)

Samsung Experience was much better ... I loved that icons, UI ... now they're trying to simplify everything but that looks so horrible ... making text over the whole screen is horrible idea ... They was trying to do one hand ui ... why? In 8.0 oreo, one hand mode already existed! So why to mess the whole UI 😭😭😭

One UI 5. was announced on 12 October 2022, it was publicly released to the Galaxy S22 series first starting 24 October 2022 with other supported devices following later.
And now One UI 6.0 is the latest version was officially released for the Galaxy S23 series starting 30 October 2023 with other devices.
