  • Here is an interesting issue we have seen quite a few times now. We have made a TSB on it as it will definitely happen to others. TSB is attached in our Facebook Group to DDTSB and will be uploaded at the next bulletin upload. Feel free to share your experiences here or through our program. See more about the system in one of these self study programs: Audi SSP 664, 662, 649, 650. Or upcoming TSB No. 8442 in DDTSB.

    There is a software issue. In address 00cc on odis the software should be at 527 but usually there at 525. Audi has a technical bulletin out for this.

    My 2019 Audi A6 failed for the Starter Alternator issue. Every electrical system failed while driving. Brakes, steering, transmission, instrument cluster, HVAC, Sensors, even the windows and hazard lights. A very dangerous defect that could have really hurt someone.

      Did it happen while driving? This I have not yet seen. In DDTSB we show the inside of the alternator and here its clear to see why it can happen suddenly while driving. Fortunately the alternator today cost less money than when it first was introduced.

      @@ElektroPartnerApS -Yes this did happen while driving 75mph. We were very fortunate that it didn't happen at night (no lights, hazards, or airbags). Had to be towed to the dealer.

      Same happened to me 1 month ago, i blocked an intersection for 1 hour 😅.
      They have to change it on extended warranty, don't let them make you pay 2k euro for a product done wrong.
      Hope yours will arrive soon 🙏

    I just drove a 2020 a6 Allroad CPO car that stumbled on first acceleration several times. I guess it had been sitting. When I mentioned t9 the salesman, he just said: “yes, I noticed that”. Maybe why it hasn’t sold! I passed on it. I’m concerned about that, and won’t own one out of warranty. My lender supplies third party warranties for my cars. They won’t cover the a6 allroad. Lots of other Audis, but not this car.

    I would be curious to see what's actually failing in the alternator. Based on what I've read so far it seems to be the root cause. Any plans on cracking one open?

    • @ElektroPartnerApS
      @ElektroPartnerApS  Před rokem +1

      Yes it could be interesting to open one. However I doubt that this fault would be visible or measurable. But if we can get our hands in one we will send it to Actronics so they can analyze it since they are the experts. Perhaps they can provide a remanufactured alternator if they can find the fault.

    I am a lithium expert and have been working on lithium for years. Can you tell me an easy way to access the balance wires on this pack as I am working on one now

    • @deanarchist
      @deanarchist Před rokem

      They are not in a simple configuration. I see 16 wires coming from the pack. The balance wires are in this lot. The balance wires should number 14 but why the 2 extra?
      Has anyone actually worked on this batt rather than just look at the outside of it?

    Hi, I have the same problem. I got the fault code P0a7d00 and I'm assuming if I charge the battery the problem will be solved but when I'm trying to go to the Specific Functions section it's asking for a code. The car is a 2019 Audi A7. I would appreciate it if you could give me the code for Special Functions. Thank you so much.

    Martin, for your slide show you were going back and forth a couple of times to talk again about a previous slide, it is best to just duplicate the slides needed more than one time so you may only proceed in a forward direction. During a professional setting such as a paid class, flipping around several slides simply shows a lack of preparation plus with all required slides in a series, there is less of a chance of making a mistake in the training lesson which tells something about your overall reputation as an Instructor. Imagine you were sick and a colleague had to give the training class for you and was not familiar with the need to go back and forth even though they might hold a transcript of the training lecture, problem solved. Thank you for the great information.
