Air Transat has honestly become quite a nice airline to fly, even better than air canada in my opinion. Air Canada’s staff tends to be rude, but Air Transat’s staff tends to be much more welcoming. Their newer planes are all pretty comfy and their in flight food is very good even though you have to pay for it, and sometimes their prices can be on the more expensive side. Also, Air Transat are much more often on time than Air Canada.

This was another great video Noel. I really love to fly on the old airliners. My wife and I flew on a United DC-10 from SFO to ORD in 1999. I did not tell her but I booked that specific flight just so we could fly on the old bird. After boarding I told her how lucky we were to be flying on one of United's oldest widebody aircraft still operating. She did not seem to have the same enthusiasm for old aircraft that I did. My Air Transat experiences mirror Noel's. Having enjoyed many A310 flights from Toronto to Manchester and Glasgow, I've been impressed with how AIr Transat has maintained a modern appearance to these aging aircraft. I suspect the average passenger doesn't realize that they are flying on 35 year old aircraft. While not an immensely popular aircraft, these A310s have served their owners and passengers well.

3-3-3 is very tight for that aircraft, but it's a common configuration for lower cost carriers to fit in more seats/people/revenue. Ordinarily on the A300/A310, the main cabin would be configured 2-4-2 so the seats were a bit wider and the cabin more comfortable.

Wasn't it an AirTransat A310 that ran out of fuel mid flight and the pilots flew it as a glider for the longest distance in history before landing safely? I thought perhaps this was that plane! I was just watching a documentary on that flight a few weeks back. Cool!

Slightly more legroom than the old Monarch A300-600R. Narrow 3 x 3 x 3 seating and a 29 inch seat pitch for trips from UK to Goa with a break in Bahrain. Pure torture.
