- 2 Days Of Thrifting Oregon Goodwills! Where are all the treasures??! I'm looking to buy vintage home decor, collectables and antiques to resell in my Etsy and Ebay shops, my store and at my antique booth and I'm curious about the thrifting at the Oregon Goodwills where Laura Caldwell of Leftcoast Revivals finds amazing items. Wanted to see what all the Portland Goodwill hoopla was all about and are they really better than garage and yard sales so I spent two days going to 5 different Goodwill thrift stores. From Cottagecore, MCM and eclectic goods I'm coming for it!

Ahhhhh Thanks! 😍
Hello!
New to channel, the algorithm suggested, I thought why not : )
You may have discovered by now, but just in case, the little piece of pottery @9:04 is Nicaraguan.
Enjoying the vid!
Ah i had not, but thanks for the info!
There can never be enough Oregon Goodwill videos! Oregon Goodwills are magical. So clean. So organized. I cannot say the same about East Coast Goodwills,
at least in my area. The studio pottery you come across is amazing. Love the ikebana vase. The brass lamp is pretty great too.
I also follow Laura Caldwell and I am so envious of the great thrift stores in the Oregon region of the U.S. I totally agree, they are clean and well organized.
They are definitely tidy and organized!!
Hope you enjoyed your time in PNW. Goodwill has raised prices so much, I rarely find anything worth buying there. Glad you got some cute pieces for your store. I hear our Salvation Army store is a great place to thrift. Also the Hollywood Vintage mall has some great sellers. Happy thrifting friend!
Yes, I don’t think I’ll be going to GW any time soon. There’s much better options for thrifting. Heading to Canada next week where there aren’t any goodwill’s so it’ll be interesting to see the contrast.
Have never been to that mall but I always make it to Stars. ⭐️
Ps looove your videos❤❤ Your videos, photos and music are so beautiful!❤ thanks for sharing! Plus you always find such beautiful things!
Ahhhh thank you!!
Loved the studio pottery you found! So many pieces in your haul today. Great finds at the goodwills. Really looking forward to September in France an Belgium. 😊 Can't wait.
Me too!! I have your email starred. Did I give you my number? We must meet up. There's one other viewer who will also be there. It'll be fun.
That's great!! I will contact you on your email. ❤❤
You found some really neat things. I think a lot of the Goodwill's are getting a bit pricy on their stuff, ours has done that- its small and I don't shop there anymore. I always look forward to your videos! 😄
Yes, and they pull the best stuff off the floor which is disappointing.
Oh I think you meant Mcminnville not Forest Grove. I live in Mcminnville and love it! So awesome you were there glad you found awesome stuff! Enjoy your videos! ❤
@@sarahogsaen3894 I was in McMinnville but I think the goodwill was forest grove.
No, that wasn't Forest Groves Goodwill, it's much smaller. It was McMinnville. But we were happy you visited!@AbigailsArtfulAbode
I find that sometimes I find a lot of one thing in goodwills it may be pottery one day and artwork the next or linens.I also watch Laura’s videos I think your area has a lot more mid century then I see here in the Northeast.
I think you are right. Although I feel like Goodwill here is much more pottery heavy because it's harder to sell online so they don't bother with it.
So cool to see you in my towns! Your video just popped up & Im glad it did!! I just subscribed!!
! I lived, worked, got married, & raised my kids in Longview from ‘93 to ‘07. I’ve been an empty nester since ‘16 in Vancouver. Which two Goodwills did you go to? I’m always wondering which ones are better!! Haha!!
Hi! The two that are right off the freeway heading north Portland.
I just watched Laura's latest video and she was at the same goodwill (Lombard) and picked most of the same items.
I just saw that too!
You both picked up the pottery bowl with green on it and put it back.
The slotted wood piece is a taco holder! We had a plastic green one in a company white elephant gift exchange...lol. it showed up for 20 years straight! Lol
Oh my goodness!! Mystery solved
I love watching your videos! ♥ You always find such amazing things. ♥♥♥♥♥
Glad you like them!
Love the bird and bunny mugs. I have to similar and my two grandsons ages 1 and 3....feel like their big boys and love sitting in my lap holding their big boy mugs drinking water. Just adorable. (Ps. My daughter always gets nervous when I do this...i just laugh...i dont care if they break. ❤❤❤❤
That’s the vision I had!! They should learn young.
New to your channel, loved your choice of picked items in this. Exactly what I would choose.
Yay! Thank you!
Hi Abby good to see you. I love pottery and there seems to be alot in G.Wills. You got a good haul. Keep picking and see you later
Thanks Peggy!! Hope your summer is going well.
Goodwill prices are getting crazy high!
Totally, not a fan
Beautiful things
I think so too!
Good finds!
Thanks!
Be careful how you describe the "ironstone" pitcher and bowl in your store or booth. Many are reproductions from the 1980s when Victorian style made a big comeback. It's still beautiful and still technically vintage but not antique. Love so many of your choices but then I always do! My favorite? The ironwood sword fish!
This one actually is. Americana, primitives and Victoriana is the genre I’m most familiar. Not all categories, like Glass but I can spot true ironstone and the difference between ironstone and hotel ware which sometimes looks very similar. I did disclose the cracks and chips and it just sold on Etsy! Now I have to ship it. 😅
Good video
Like ur bracelet
Signatures on pottery means nothing most of the time. Anyone can make something and sign their name. Fun to have though.
Which is exactly why I buy what I find to be attractive! Although if I can tell it is German I do do a double take.
Hi Abigail! I collect pottery by David Enna, particularly his mountain scene (blues, rusts & browns) collection. He was a potter from Zig Zag, Oregon. His older pieces are signed “enna”, with a lowercase e, but his newer pieces are stamped with an “E”. If you ever find any, I would love to buy it from you! Edit- I just sent you an email with a couple pictures of the kind I collect. I would love it if you could be on the lookout for it! Thanks so much! 🥰
Oh, I’ll take a look!!
You always eat what you dmn well want! I respect that. I eat too much of what I want. I'm on my 3rd day of injecting weight loss med. I have huge expectation.
Lol, most days I'm keto but it's been over a year so need to cheat sometimes.
@AbigailsArtfulAbode You're always high energy, look great.
Show sourcing videos. Slim pickings people do not donate expensive treasures it usually things people do not want or is damaged goods/clutter from their homes. Unfortunately. Your picker/bag lady friend Windsor Ontario. Thanks for sharing your life you are doing a great job.
Honestly, Goodwill is smart, they are removing anything valuable and listing it on Ebay. Pottery just happens to be a hard sell online so easy to find there.
Prices were high I thought our thrifts were expensive but that’s bad
Yeah, with you on that sister!
Yes, our local Goodwill’s are getting more expensive by the day. I was at a Portland one this last week & they had plastic baskets from the Dollar Tree priced for $6.99 each.
@@LindaKayHolevas wow! But I hate to say I’m not surprised.
Go big or go home gal lol

@@AlexandraKozub-tp7fe They do though. Goodwill just happens to pick those off to sell online. They never make it to the floor. At least most don’t.
Beautiful haul!❤
Thank you! 🤗
