Today I'm sharing what I paid at Goodwill and the two other thrift stores I stopped in and how much I can expect to make on the featured vintage items I picked. Some are bread and butter and some are BIG money. As a vintage reseller I hit up yard & garage sales, thrift stores, flea markets and yes, even antique malls. You never know where you're going to find a vintage decor item at a great price.

9:12 I love picking up wood pieces like the wine rack and brushing stain all over, wiping off the excess, and giving it a fresh coat of lacquer. It's so easy to do and makes a HUGE difference. I think I stand out that way in my Etsy shop since I have a lot of experience with furniture restoration. Goodwill is so random with prices, like on that very old religious piece. 31:42 Definitely a piece from Honduras. I kind of collect mahogany pieces from Honduras and just yesterday picked up a killer serving tray with tile inserts. Kind of a giveaway since they are made with Honduran mahogany. 34:45 Reminds me of sculptures by Botero.
Yes! I have a couple of retroglobe standing lighted globes with wood bases I picked up today and want to over them with stain. I never put lacquer on them but maybe I should try that. Yes, I agree, Goodwill is literally all over the place for pricing!
Good point on Botero, just sold to glicee prints of his and that horse could be in one of his pieces for sure.
@@AbigailsArtfulAbode Stain won't dry without spraying it with lacquer. You can buy lacquer in a can for small areas, but I use my air compressor and spray gun.

Hello! Lol, I truly wish that was the case. I feel very abundant and blessed for sure but my place on the water here is a rental, my place in Mexico I built over 25 years ago.

Lucky you have a great store. Hope you sell it all. My home is store very cluttered basement full. Lots not listed got way behind 35 yrs collecting stuff. Need to have huge living estate sale pay the people to set up and sell it all. Tired of stuff and clutter. I will try to find someone I have a big job for them. What do I do with the stuff that dosnt sell after estate sale? I love your home with the water and your place in Mexico so nice too. You do a great job on your own it’s hard. Try to sell what you have too before going and getting more we have a crazy addiction for stuff and try to enjoy your place in Mexico and your home on the beautiful water just chill. I live in same area so it was like watching one of my thrifting days. Gig Harbor used to be a great store but now I hardly ever bother to stop. It is also in a different Goodwill region than the other three stores. Gig Harbor belongs to the Tacoma/ Olympia region while the other three are part of Evergreen which also includes Seattle which may explain why there is always better stuff. Love your videos!
Yeah and those stores I feel don't usually deliver much. I have found some items in Gig Harbor recently but not this time.

OMG! We just found the same sick call shadow box at Goodwill yesterday. We wanted to get it , but it was missing the picture that goes in the bottom where the door is located. I hate it when you find something interesting, but it's broken 😢

Gosh no, unless there's a stain I need to get out. I just buy soooo much and it takes so much time to process it all that things are sold as found.
