    I just wanted to say thank you for the advice about Job Access. I own a retail shoe store, working with customers daily, and have just received approval for a Roger On iN, after watching this video a little while ago. I didn’t know the program existed, so thank you very much for sharing that information.
    I’m excited to order and use the Roger device, so I’ll post back with an update once I’ve used it in my shop environment!

    I love your informative channel. I have just received thE Roger table mic to trial. Knowing that there is a mIlitary connection to its development gives me a bit confidence in what I have. Keep up the great work Emma.

    ...AND you have to remember to get it back, when hung on the other person.
    Remembering how many times I had to wait outside the restroom after class to get my Phonic Ear FM system microphone back from a professor who had forgotten they were still wearing it. :)
    New Phonak hearing aids soon. Looking forward to getting a Roger, too. Thanks for your explanations!

    I have had the Roger for a few years now but after trying it many times in noisy places such as restaurants, it is of no benefit at all to me. With the Roger I can only understand the person who sits very close to the Roger. Putting the Roger in the middle of the table is of no use as it needs to be very near the person who speaks thus not useful in round the table discussions. The only time that it is useful in noisy places is when somebody wears the Roger, I can then hear that person even when they are quite some distance from me. Useful in lectures if the speaker wears the Roger but when speakers take turns, you have had it.

      Hi Anke, many thanks for your comments. Is my assumption correct that you have a Roger Pen? The Roger Pen was launched in 2013 and as you observed, listening in a restaurant may still be challenging with it. In the meantime, Phonak has launched the Roger Select and just this year the Roger On. Both products feature MultiBeam technology which improves speech understanding in a restaurant like situation. Unlike the Roger Pen which has a simple omni microphone when placed on the table, Roger Select and Roger On uses six directional microphone when placed on the table. When someone speaks, only one out of the six beams becomes active and thus, the noise coming from around is suppressed and only the voice of the talker is being transmitted into your ears. Give it a try! Kind regards from the product manager of Roger On and Roger Select.

    Love my Roger OniN Works brilliantly and you become intuitive as to when it’s beneficial to use it… I have absolutely no regrets in its cost - £1500 UK - or the £5000 spent on the Paradise P90 RT hearing aids - money we’ll invested even for someone with a minor to moderate hearing loss. My wife and I wear Phonic aids, and I have a Roger. Is it possible to pair 2 sets of aids to one Roger. The TV has only one output.

    i WOULD LIKE A COPY OF THE STUDY SHE MENTIONS IN THE VIDEO. I don't see where she is answering any questions. Does someone know how to get a hold of her?

    Curious to learn if there is anything that enables language translations via this contextual circumstance?

    Hi Emma, thanks for sharing the information. Your statement about the compatibility with other hearing aids was very interesting.
    I was searching for a Widex COM-DEX equivalent in the Phonak range which is compatible with the Phonak Virto Paradise Titanium IIC (non-wireless) to make handsfree phone calls. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any device like that in the Phonak Roger range with a built-in microphone.
    But, is it possible to use the Widex COM-DEX with the Phonak hearing aid?

    Can the ROGER select be placed in your shirt pocket in stead of pointing when having face to face conversations and still be helpful?

    • @markcole1473
      @markcole1473 Před 2 lety

      No that wouldn't work. When used vertically (as it would sit in shirt pocket) the Roger Select would switch to Lanyard mode. It would then pick up the voice of the lanyard/Select wearer (you) and stream it to the listeners (you) hearing aids. If it were in your own pocket it would pick up your own voice. Select doesn't have a pointing mode, you need the Roger On (or older Roger Pen) for that.

    Does Roger have a wearable mic? Does Roger perform better than ConnectClip, even with Oticon aids?
