Man you 2 are so lucky to have all those Auctions out there
Great collection of Americana. Random collections like these will become rarer and rarer and it's great you are preserving them to CZcams.
I like the Monaco...cool roof and C pillar, and the tail lights are sweet too.
$3300 for a 40/41 Ford 1/2 ton pickup? Man!, I am jelly. That's my holy grail truck.
P
You guys don’t know how good you have it over there with all that old tin. Enjoy listening to you peel of the brand and models. Very knowledgeable! 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
impressive knowledge of car's and truck's & parts ......
I had a lot of those Avon automotive decanters... including the Winny... with Deep Country... back in the '70s and very early '80s.
One of my grandmothers was an Avon saleswoman.
I could always count on getting a new one for every birthday and Christmas.😁
Great video, Thank you for such great entertainment. The cars I liked most were the '42 Chrysler Windsor and the '66 Dodge Monaco
That Windsor was an absolute sweetheart.
The Monaco had real potential - it was a great chance to get in to a Mopar affordably without spending thousands for a gutted shell of a B or E body!
at 12 min the old buford i grew up at Howard buick my dad worked there forty years
A tidy presentation of items. Thank you.
i love the feeling in walking around and look at all the stuff
Well thanks for letting us know about the auction after the auction is over.
Oh wow, defiantly a few cars there I would like to have!
Same here Tim. The two '40 Fords are what I am drooling over.
@@MasteringTheModel Oh yea!!
That hitch implement is for running rollls of wire (barbed/slick hot)
Awesome video thank you for the video
I'm from the uk recently found this channel is so good just spent Christmas watching Mr goodpliers. Great vid ✌
Super! Welcome to the channel Luke!
Welcome aboard Mate
The 68 Impala SS was offered with both rooflines. Most of the ones I've seen have the fastback style.
The 1942 Chrysler and the 1938 Buick were definitely worth the money.
40’s delivery van went very cheap!
Those ramps were cool!
A friend of mine in Northwest Indiana has a all metal 40 Ford coupe and a 40 Ford sedan delivery. They are neat.
I use that term wonky as well. Fitting term for when something just doesn't fit right or handle right in the suspension department!
A lot of knowledge in those two guys.
0:54 Childhood memory alert! I had that green toy van with the silver rear door.
My Classic Tire! A favorite segment on CWM
You do a good job man
Nice content. The 66 F100 you videoed had a later model small block swap. Ford never put a 289 in a truck. If that truck came with a v8 it would have been a 352 FE. Also there were two different dash options in 65 and 66. The metal circular gauge was base model and the chrome plated plastic with horizontal speedometer was Custom Cab. I know you cover everything and have a lot of car knowledge. Im an old gearhead myself and the F100 is my main interest.
Interesting service sign...AM was an exchange in Wichita in the 50's and 60's.
I think that big red V-8 motor was an international 345 V-8 like what A full size scout would have
Some high dollar ''junk'' here Tim......looks like fun!
Mopar 440 began in 1966. The cid would be stamped on the flat upper right above the front cover.
Great videos, fluid drive ,most people have no idea what that is ,had a guy tell me no such a thing !!!, told me of it has a clutch ,you have to use !!! my dad had a 50 Dodge pu with fluid drive ,it was a nice old truck!!
Hole in one! The look on Kramers face is priceless when George shows Kramer the ball. Is that a titleist??
thankyou sirs
Some nice rides....with some prices reflective of today's market.
Paneling/paint and good detail job can hide a world of sin
'69 Grand Prix door handle was slightly different than the Riviera GS, being nearly completely flush with the door panel...you pushed in the handle at the rear with your thumb, then the rest of the handle popped out from the door...not sure if that door handle was also on the '70-72 Grand Prix.
Hi Mr. Goodpliers Those vintage Ford trucks shown at the beginning would be just before the so called 'jail bar' grill. If you ever come across that grill again just refer to it as 'Jail House Rock' grill, as it just sounds better. With that name Elvis Presley would love it!
A sedan delivery would haul a whole load of Hound Dogs
The Ford pickup first in line looks like a '41 not a '40, based on the hood moulding and bolt on Ford script nameplate.
I think that first Ford PU was a 41 from the grill. The panel next to it had a 40 grill.
Damn those we're some decent prices love that 2 Door Tahoe for $3800
Fall sales have the bargains
Thanks
You can use that hitch for rebuilding a Hydrolic cyclinders n I have welded 2 small n large size solid Round stock on my service truck. 😆
Cool stuff what did you guys get ? The 42 Chrysler was way cool 😎 and looks as if you could drive it away from the sale. Thanks for the video
We actually went to another sale that day. I bought the 350 TBI and 700R4 transmission. Should have bought the boat tail Riviera - I'm not crazy over them, but it was a steal at $800. Never know how high the other bidder would have gone though...
I can't believe how cheap a lot of these sold for!...even those '90's trucks sold cheap enough that you might could get them running and flip them and make some money...I mean, a few hundred bucks for a classic car or truck that is mostly complete and restoreable?..that's nuts these days!..around here, a lot of those that sold for $600-$1500 would be asking 5 or 6 grand for!
This is not a job for you guys... its a passion.
OMG i have that exact winabago bottle.. man the cars? where was this there some gems for cheep!!! 66 ford for under a grand, but its Frankensteined! , And that's not the original engine with that modern power steering business.?? dam where am i when this stuff is going on ...
26:48...that's an International V8...
That 1940 Ford is a Panel truck, not a Sedan Delivery.
That 71 Boat tail looked like a good money maker!!! How much did that go for? Could have been a good snag - depending on how much work it needed and the price.
I used to do car flips - I was real spoiled, I looked for cars that didn't need any work at all
Some of those cars went for the high end of retail, a few even higher than that, and there were others that I would have made people spend more money than they wanted to because, they sold pretty cheap.
that 68 could be a good 2 door conversion
Your buddy is the type everybody hates at auction kicks Yanks pulls those never spend a nickel next time leave him home
That 56 Chevy 150 didn't look too bad
The inside was amazing but it was super rusty underneath. Tempting price but it needed SO MUCH metal work to bring back. It's easier to convert a 4 door car than to fix a rusty two door
32:11...I sold a set of these that came off a '76 Riviera for scrap metal not that many years ago..good shape with all the center caps..I thought about keeping them, but they had an "odd" bolt patter that did not fit any of my Chevy's, and I figured that nobody would ever want a set of those for anything and would never buy them, so I scrapped them...I don't know what they are worth now, but since I scrapped a good set, probably quite a bit I imagine..the '76 Riviera they came off was my brothers, it was in good condition, but he bought it purely for the 455 engine and transmission that he put in his '82 Regal..😨..the rest of the car was junked..that Regal was a rocket with the torque from that 455!...
The Riv was a $4k derby car if clean
How did the 455 in the G body Regal work out?
@@mr.goodpliers6988 Well, like I said, that was the early '90's...he pulled the(non-turbo)3.8 V6 out himself, dropped in the 455 and the tranny that came with it..did most of the work himself, I think he had someone shorten the driveshaft, I can't remember, and pretty sure he used the Riviera radiator somehow..don't remember the details, but the install wasn't that bad, couldn't have been since he did it himself as a 18-19 year old. It DID really need stronger front springs, as it was front-heavy now, and unfortunately had an open differential..it was never raced, but it was a rocket!..I drove it once, it was quiet inside, and the speedo needle rose like it was a tach..you had to REALLY be light on the throttle until you got it rolling good, if you punched it off the line, you would be swapping ends really quick. And this was a low-compression '76 smog 455!..I believe if the install was done right, and the car was set up right, it would be great..he drove the car awhile and then sold it. Don't know what happened to it after that...
Where is your yard ? I'm coming back to Northern Oklahoma last of May , live in Hawaii now
👍
RED WOLF!! any axes or Hatchets??
👍👍👍
Very cool! I just took a 41 ford pickup in on trade.
I'll give you what's in my wallet for your '41 Ford pickup!
@@MasteringTheModel I'm thinking I'm going to keep it. It's been fully restored but it's only 90% complete and its been in a barn for a while. It's a 1.5 ton on a 1/2 ton frame but still has the ugly front end on it. However I located the 1/2 ton front sheet metal in one of my dad's stashes. I'm missing the bed and a radiator though.
Edit I'll do a video on it soon.
That trailer hitch is for a stripper pole
Panel looks like 40' Ford
Wow there was real money being parted out from the 'fool' pool on this sale.😏
Cowboy Cadillac. That’s the same as a Texas Lexus! Ha ha!
How do you find all these auctions for cars? Tks
There’s a pretty rare 40 Ford Sedan Delivery and you look at the tire?
Looking for a 74 nova 4 door front windshield
We’re do you find all these cool auctions?
They are pretty much all listed on the internet now
That hitch is for a stripper pole. Lol
You didn't show the Ford pickups long enough
496 VORTEC
That 8.1 was a 496 CI
Nope 502
@@jayblipnit456 Yep,, 8.1 liter =496
@@jayblipnit456 WRONG ! 8.1 X 61.024 =494.292 rounded to 496 C.I. I have that engine in my Silverado. Google It !
💥👊💪Australia!!🤍💙❤
That engine is not marine, .no water cooling heads
Date and location, please...
You pass by a charger and don't check under the hood, blasphemy!
Lot of money being paid for these junks. Auctions are the way to go if you're seller.
Not 289 probably 352
Great videio players settle Joe go down kinda rummy guy don t like his vibe kinda strange j
..narrator's voice sounds like he's bored to death..is this the normal?....
