you know its bad when the cobalions run shuca only to get 2hko'd by facade. Luna had one reliable switch in (Sinistcha) and it could still run ice punch to chip it down or 2hko after tera. Luna forced offensive playstyles and just led to an overall worse and less diverse metagame
Ursaluna fishes for matchups like volcarona did. It's bulk is so naturally strong and it's attack after a guys boost is so high you often didn't need to setup further and could simply click buttons. It would often live super effective hits and just ohko back. There were only 2 ways to check ursaluna: either you stall it out (damn near impossible because it hits so hard and can setup) or you have a specs attacker clean it off before it did more sage (which was difficult due to tera). Overall I didn't think it was that oppressive but I do understand why it got banned
I think my biggest thing is it’s slow as hell, has no priority and doesn’t really have the moves lot to run Trailblaze. Sure it hits like a truck but it was pretty easy to revenge kill it with a Specs attacker, which most good UU teams have. And if your opponent had to commit Tera to it then that’s one less piece of equipment your opponent loss.
i really don't think gren is anywhere near as good as keld is tbh- gren gets absolutely annihilated by lokix, keldeo, and can struggle a lot into common mons like AV torn t, zapdos, and pex
All very valid points. Personally I believe Gren was better when you weren’t sure which ability it was running but now it seems most are running Protean.
@@Mr502 the 3 new unaware particularly the water one first, then toxapex and fero, i know they all weak but they force you to play stereotypicaly and to build your team just for them, i prefer chi yu unban but they ban almomola
@@Mr502 well its suppposed to be a balanvce between bulk and offense, all ofensive mon are ban but not the bulky ones. Of course garnal and dondozo are weak, but if you dont have an answer in your team you are cooked, so its extremely polirazing. Particularly when all strong mons get ban . i am not complaining, just saying this gen is too boring always same mons or stall. I wish i could have one day with no regen/unaware mons but i know smogon dont care about fun. But its sad as i am the best player ever but i am quiting due to boreness.
@@nab-v1w There are no stall mons that are overwhelming enough to get banned since stall is a matchup fishy archetype right now. If a team isn't prepared for stall, it's losing to stall. If a team is prepared for stall, it's destroying stall. Lemme turn you onto some anti stall stuff. Tera Ice Specs Kyurem, Taunt Lando, and Taunt Moon all shut down stall super well and are very easy to pilot. Other potential picks if you're feeling shiest are Banded Azu and LO Pawmot which need a competent player to be useful but go crazy if used correctly.

True… wait til they hear about Greninja and Keldeo tho

and still no stall mon banned since mega sableye in gen 6
I don’t even know what stall ‘mons you would ban this gen though. It hasn’t been a popular nor super strong archetype this gen.

@nabilbaroudi5457 you think Dondozo, the guy who folds to any neutral special attack, is problematic enough to ban?
