In this video we will test this laser engraving with different metals, such as steel, stainless-steel, aluminium, brass, iron...
Our main trick if the surface is very reflective is to paint it black, (mate black the smoother the surface the better, but a permanent marker will suffice). Examples: CerMark, Laserbond... black primer and other paints can work but it's better that reflect the laser because if not it will burn on the surface and might not look as good or the material can melt.
We also show case another interesting method to remove and clean rust from iron or other metallic materials.

En este vídeo probaremos este grabado láser con diferentes metales, como acero, acero inoxidable, aluminio, latón, hierro...
Nuestro principal truco si la superficie es muy reflectante es pintarla de negro, (negro mate cuanto más lisa sea la superficie mejor, pero un marcador permanente será suficiente). Ejemplos: CerMark, Laserbond... la imprimación negra y otras pinturas pueden funcionar, pero es mejor que reflejen el láser porque, de lo contrario, se quemará en la superficie y es posible que no se vea tan bien o que el material se derrita.
También mostramos el caso de otro método interesante para eliminar y limpiar el óxido del hierro u otros materiales metálicos.

Il nostro trucco principale se la superficie è molto riflettente è dipingerla di nero, (mate nero più la superficie è liscia, meglio è, ma un pennarello indelebile sarà sufficiente). Esempi: CerMark, Laserbond... primer nero e altre vernici possono funzionare ma è meglio che riflettano il laser perché in caso contrario brucerà sulla superficie e potrebbe non avere un bell'aspetto o il materiale potrebbe fondersi.
Mostriamo anche un altro metodo interessante per rimuovere e pulire la ruggine dal ferro o da altri materiali metallici.

hello, i have the atomstack s10 pro and i can´t make it engrave on stainless steel. I put your settings and tried also with much agrressive ones like: power 100%; speed 80%; passes:4; line interval: 0,50mm and it does not work, just a liitle marking. I don,t know why. i tried also using markers and one can of dry moly lube and did not work. Can you help me? is there something i am forgetting to do in lightburn? Thank you very much for your help
Hi sorry can't really help you with that, it's mostly tinkering and finding the best settings. Usually it's difficult to engrave stainless steel with this type of hobby laser engravers with 50W. The best solution which works for us is black permanent or whiteboard markers. As you can see in the video that is the closest you can get to engrave with this type of machines. It also depends on the reflective surface of the material and the purity.

Can this laser cut 12mm Mdf wood?
Yes it can, but not first try. You need to do the same trayectory a couple of times, if not you will burn the wood.
think the stainess hipflask has a plastic coating on the outside that turned it black

We are using 400mm/min and max power in this video to engrave metals.
Hi, I try to laser a small image on a mason jar lid. I set the power to 100 and the speed to 400. I also purchased a marker spray for laser engraver. It work fine with the spray. And looks great. But when. I wash off the lid all of it is gone. What am I doing wrong?
Seems like the burnt material is not sticking to the jar. How about you try to engrave a couple of times?
Do you know what is the perfect dpi for engraving pictures with the atomstack x7 pro?
Trial and error my friend. You can follow the manual or people's choices for guidance but the best thing to do is to try.
@@rebots ok so if you have the same machine then also it is a different dpi? I can't get it right to my x7 pro... i tought every x7 pro has the same dpi to be perfect because its the same machine. Greeting
