One thing I like about CW is how he takes his time to gather and form his thoughts together, to get his point across. His pacing isn’t too fast not too slow. You can definitely tell he’s not someone who talks just to talk.
I'm 29, he's speaking facts. Life before the internet was a blessing. These kids growing up with the internet are the ones who will fall for the metaverse. The internet is all they know.
As someone born in the 80's, I agree 100000% with Charleston White, I'd take life before the Internet any day of the week.Back then everything wasn't about money, faking it like you had it on media platforms, people actually cared more about each other, people weren't addicted to phones, when people went to parties they actually partied not everyone just standing around staring at a phone. His comment about the "mark of the beast" is spot on.................the internet and peoples daily use of it is getting you in the habit of not being able to live without it so that you can"t buy or eat without it. 99% of society will gladly take the mark on their foreheads or right hand cause its what they were destined for it but also people have already been preconditioned to it. Its only a matter of time............
Facts. Once sidekicks left us and iPhones became a normal thing, society changed. I’m 32 I’m glad I grew up and had a personality before the internet gave me one
Era’s change every 5-7 years. Social media was still in the beginning stages still back in 2010-14. But we’re definitely in the belly of the beast now with what’s goin on. Social media has isolated everyone now. The internet is not bad but social media is.

Yes indeed! Everyday- I miss the 70s and 80's......EVERYDAY!!! This world now is terribly toxic. No wonder so many people are- it's the world we live in.
I agree with this. People will approach just to ask for a social media account just to like their pics when they could've just had a conversation right there on the spot. Too much internet makes people a bit slower. They don't know how to even talk to people in real life.
They told us about the internet in the 1st Matrix movie. Two opportunities were presented (the pills), reality versus a fake reality, and here we are. We used to have real models walking runways, now we have instagram models...smh.
I believe the world that we live in now was predicted but no one could ever how quick that world would be a reality plus and no one knew how the matrix would exist hence social media & smartphones…
Yes people are way too addicted to their phones it's killing real socialization to the point people don't even know how to correctly approach or have conversations.

I'm 19 and I'm fully with charleston white. My whole generation is psychologically ruined by these devices. Examples: Extremely egoistic, double cross you in a heartbeat, can't hold down a relationship for longer than a month, cant enjoy a moment without the phone, can't communicate without stuttering, can't look you in the eye, can't read, can't publicly speak, can't hold down a hobby for long enough. These are just some examples of what the Internet has done to people around me. It has filled up the youth with opinions not facts. Reading a book is now a "flex", going to the gym is now a "flex". Whatever happened to doing these things because you like it? I cut off Instagram and all social media completely.. I've lost so many "friends" but you know what, I'm not going to bend to any rules of society just because other people do it. Leadership is key. Get off social media while you still can so we can inspire others. Peace

im only 29 & i be soundin like im 50 when explainin how much things changed since i was a kid. internet/social media ruined the World’s balance. you had to be you before. you couldnt get your personality from Instagram. kids went outside & played, until it was dark. they didnt care about checkin a twitter or instagram. kids didnt have to deal wit the pressure of bein cool or instant responses. everything is sped up & animated now. once music, TV & promotion got involved wit it, the World flipped.
I remember playing outside as a kid with other kids in the neighborhood. Going to the park was worth more than gold. People genuinely looked out for each other more, even strangers. Exploring the neighborhood on a bicycle that my grandpa got me. I definitely miss those days.
Charleston’s ability to articulate is next to none. This guy can really change the dynamic of our community in terms of what we consider perception and reality. Much respect

I was born in 1991 and man what a time the 90s was I feel like we got to experience the last remnants of the 70s n 80s thru our parents musical tastes and styles with the rapidly changing "cool 4kids" Era of the 90s w/ great cartoon animations everybody on the same page watching the same movies and talking about it during school meeting with my friends to play basketball by using the house phone and everybody agreeing on the tome and location to be there we all had wrist watches and telling/knowing the time was very important the girls played with chalk and jump rope outside making 4square and hop scotch and double Dutch games. I remember Jordan was the hero of our time. We used to have family reunions and cookouts your family elders made you dance at the reunions. WILL Smith was the man and his movies were some of the greatest memorials of 90s lifestyle for people in my era. We used to know everybody's parents because to call somebody's phone you were calling there parents house phone number and you had to say excuse me Mrs. Or Mr so and so but is "Greg" there we used to play Mario party and Mario kart and your friends would come over and bring there controllers to make it 4player. remember Gameboys and Rc toy cars. The 90s felt like it was made just for kids and that we were so important everything from fast food toys to TV shows to commercials to movies were geared towards getting our approval. All that and shows like Hey Arnold were representative of what it was like for me growing up we used to could learn things from our shows. Remember zoo books and scholastic magazine. I feel sorry for this generation because the powers that be don't want yall connected to nature how we was in my time. We used to suck on honeysuckle and dig deep in the dirt and find grubworms. After the rain worms would come out and we would pick them up and chase girls around with a worm 🪱 in our fingers. Cooties/Noogies,Wet Willie's, wedgies, man an Era I thought would never end 😔 😪 😤 🤧 when I look back I realize we were the last generation to have an actual natural experience of life as it should be. When the power use to go off in the house because of thunderstorm or Hurricane Isabel my parents used to light candles put a cd in the boom box and me and my siblings would play board games like sorry, trouble, clue, uno, chutes and ladders, candlyland, monopoly i declare war, spades........Long Live the 90s

AFTER the internet but BEFORE social media. The internet ain’t the problem at all. The internet was a wonderful tool in my personal development, that social media is the problem more so than the internet. Social media has destroyed nearly every human experience there was known to man.
That's so true. Without the internet think about how much harder it would be to put yourself out there as an entrepreneur. Social media on the other hand is the biggest handicap in our society right now. It has ruined our ability to interact and have meaningful relationships.
@@limitlesswisdom9499 them video games too. And smart phones and tablets. Tablets being the new babysitters can not possibly be healthy for a child’s neurological development. Not to mention how accessible and available pornography is which has destroyed a generation.
Man this video is special..I hope everyone understand this man's concept..he is really trying to save a whole lot of people...I lot of parents need to see this!!!!!
Life was definitely simpler and easier before internet. You had to actually interact with people face to face… If you had a issue with a person you had to actually work it out face to face, and not behind a keyboard. If the internet was made to be a good tool, it definitely got turned into the worst thing that ever happened to society.
Lol no it wasn't, internet and smartphones are the most helpful tools ever created, problem is that a lot of people lately got too comfortable and became ok at staying noobs at things, don't want to advance or improve at things they're bad at. Lol nobody stopping you from talking to people. Yes society seems to have taken a dip but there's always a bright side, especially after these two years of pandemic, cuz lately It seems that guys stopped hitting on girls, cuz literally any one I talk to is happy about it, even the one from few days ago said she wasn't interested and gave off I don't like you vibes still gave her number and we talked for a bit later, or couple days ago I woke up, went to the store seen a cutie and completely fumbled the conversation still being half asleep lol and after that she still said she single if u know what I mean. Internet is here to stay, just change your attitude and stay away from bad sides of it
People born in the late 60s and 70s was the last era of orginality and the last era that truely only depended on books and their elders for information up into adulthood. Only thing i can say about our era was we had a lot of folklore back then, but its also what probably help to keep us grounded, along with have limited access to knowledge. Another thing, "though im not saying its all of the current generation," we had more respect for our elders in general because we didnt have a second parent like the internet for info. We also didnt have youtube and had limited access to watch how are parents grew up, along with the negative things they took part in. Kids today are the first generation who hardly dont need to depend on their elders for everything, and can also witness everything about how their parents grew up, and the negativity they took part in to justify their own action with hardly no true role models today. Time seems to fly these days because so many distractions are occupying our minds. Before the internet the media had limited control because your local news or even national news could not fit all the news going on because they had to leave info for other programs. You wasnt walking around with a cell phones so you had less distraction and couldnt see news by the second so time seemed more slower. The world was a bigfer place back then. And even in america each region was like their own world. We couldnt even get into all celebs life and they were somewhat mysterious, and maybe that was a good thing. The internet has good things about it but in all we are truely living bad times. Mind control technology already exist and your phones can read your mind. Have you ever wonder why sometimes your phones freezes up? You may thought it was a bad connection even though you were in a good area. But the truth is if you watch your reception bars depending on your moods it had to do with your brain fequency, and its also why your phone may delay. Look up brain fequency and moods.
I was born in the late 80s and it's crazy to think we were the last generation that would know freedom and independence before smart phones took over. I got my first flip phone in high school and then I had a Sidekick which was the closest thing to a smartphone back then but you could only read online it didnt play videos. The first actual smartphone the first iphone came out in 2008 and i was already grown and on my own by then. We left the houses in the morning and our parents didn't know where we were for the whole day until we came home. A lot of times we done rode our bikes 7 miles away and a lot of times we were doing shit we weren't supposed to be doing but we learned important life lessons from those things. Yeah we had to dodge child molesters and bullies and all that shit but we learned how to survive in this world and have fun doing it. But even we get caught up in the social media addiction so imagine how serious for the kids that have had it they whole life.
This is the comment. I relate to this 1000%. Crazy as a youth me and the neighborhood kids would disappear for HOURS on end (at each other's houses or just around the wider neighbourhood) and our parents had no damn clue what we was doing. Learnt some of the most important life lessons with the homies, about who is/isn't a real friend, and just learning basic independence from the parents. It's been a year I deactivated my Facebook and soon I'm gonna deactivate my IG (never use Twitter/Snapchat and have never ever used TikTok). I feel totally disconnected from everything going on which was crazy at first but now I feel less anxious and just better about life. Essentially I feel like I'm a kid again, at 36, navigating life with just my gut and a whole lotta experience lol. Only downside is I generally avoid females under 30 unless it's about that action - they just too caught up in social media and 'image' (not all, but damn near 90%+) I encourage everyone to disconnect for long periods - you're just gonna feel better about life after a month or so

What generation you talking about because the younger generation does know how to do all those things it’s just not entertaining to them that’s why they barely outside anymore
I think of it as modern day slavery in another form cause if u are never free of something and always gotta have it in your daily life like a drug then u can't be free in a sense because u always gotta be distracted damn near 24/7. It's like many people are uncomfortable being with their own thoughts now and don't know how to even do something simple as daydream anymore.

More people could've gotten away with murder and rape if technology wasn't developed and the internet wasn't around.

Luckily I got to experience both. Everything was better pre internet. I'm 19 and I'm fully with charleston white. My whole generation is psychologically ruined by these devices.
Examples:
Extremely egoistic, double cross you in a heartbeat, can't hold down a relationship for longer than a month, cant enjoy a moment without the phone, can't communicate without stuttering, can't look you in the eye, can't read, can't publicly speak, can't hold down a hobby for long enough.

Good words outlaw
This is the comment. I relate to this 1000%. Crazy as a youth me and the neighborhood kids would disappear for HOURS on end (at each other's houses or just around the wider neighbourhood) and our parents had no damn clue what we was doing. Learnt some of the most important life lessons with the homies, about who is/isn't a real friend, and just learning basic independence from the parents.
It's been a year I deactivated my Facebook and soon I'm gonna deactivate my IG (never use Twitter/Snapchat and have never ever used TikTok). Before then tumblr used to be like 4chan..ppl made all types of offensive jokes and said/did whatever. Then one day..idk what happened but ppl started calling each other out, everybody got sensitive af calling things toxic and what not..and slowly but surely it turned into what we have now. I think it all started with Tumblr and Twitter then slowly moved around the internet
It was cool before 2009.. I was online in the late 90s

I was born in 92 glad I got to experience real life. These 2000s kids ain’t got it they are confused lost and gonna have it hard.
You need to be a early 80s baby to get the full experience..being a teenager in the 90s was the shxt!

I was born 1981 my birthday a couple weeks away, I'll gladly go back to the 80s/90s in a heartbeat. CW painting just a tad bit of how amazing life was pre internet. I've met women in their 30s that are extremely awkward, zero interaction skill, I've given up on this society, now I just focus on getting money so I can travel to foreign land where life is still good and the ppl aren't brainwash with the bs.
This was a great interview shit make so much Sense
Facts!! This is sad, but real af!!
It’s no more socializing at all, and a person that likes to converse in real life is shunned upon
Life before the internet or more accurately life before social media was definitely better.
This so true💯
