RF normally refers to 433mhz this is not included on this device.
A note for the presenter, who speaks very good English. App is a word, pronounced ap (like map).

All the Tuya based ir remotes are garbage . There is no local api support

      1. You get what you pay for, it doesn't mean it is garbage.
      2. I doubt you have tried them all

@@MarcusHawksley Believe me i still have this nonsensical device . The Android app is absolute trash . It is better and cheaper to build this device using the esp8266 and ir receivers at home.

@@parasbhanot I get that it might not be what you want, nor as good as it could be. These are cheap and simple, to add more complexity in a way that suits all levels of users and works across a range of devices would be a massive task.
To say it is cheaper to do your own, under values your own time, both in the project and the skill development.
For your average consumer it might be better, but probably not worth the time that they would have to invest. Especially if the aim is to save effort.
As a hobby, you are most certainly right. I have tried to encourage my son to get into this, as I have neither the time nor motivation to learn it myself. That way I would have a more advanced system without the effort.
Until then I am having to put up with a sub optimum, but working, alternative that meets my budget.
