You're so helpful and the information you convey is so unique - it's the perfect level for me, it pushes me *just so* to improve at a speed which makes me feel like I'm accomplishing stuff while also learning a ton of new stuff. I don’t have as much time to work on the the full lessons but always take away a few new tricks to add to my vocabulary when I have time to noodle. From this one, I think the main takeaways are:
Knopfler attack = strat position 4, with fingers
      That chicken pickin' thing
You can use Hendrix doublestops, but with those settings they'll sound Knopfler-y

Brillant as fuck. I was actually working on a "Jealous Guy" cover, with a kind of "I Want You" vibe (strumming the chords on my AS83 with max gain and full power on the Fender Tweed, you know how it is), and it needed just an inch of some poetry, and here comes the money! If you don't mind, i may give the tip to the lead guitarist.

Eric, I love your lessons! Would you ever consider deconstructing & teaching "Kingdom of Love" from Underwater Moonlight by The Soft Boys/Robyn Hitchcock? The chord structures are simple enough, but the guitar run is tricky and reminds me a bit of the Bill Frisell motifs you point out in your Knopfleresque version of "Jealous Guy." I haven't been able to decipher it, and the tones range from jarring, punk/prog, to glassy Strat jangle. And then there are the dark, trippy words! Also good & hard to figure out is Robyn's tune "Positive Vibrations." Again, unusual chord voicing.

@@EricHaugenGuitar Yup, he's awesome. I've seen him a bunch. I know he often uses open tunings for his folkier stuff, but I think "Kingdom of Love" is in standard, concert tuning. There are some live clips on YT from the 80's where you can kind of see what he's doing. I've interviewed & written about him a bunch. Check it out below. Thanks for all your lessons; they are always interesting and really helpful!
