@@AlanTrades Its as advertised, it locks with your key fob & serves its purpose. I did have an issue they included the wrong size of coupler for the air hose, it was too small. The white one was correct the black one was a smaller size. It took awhile, had to send a video, then they routed it to their design team, but they sent out a new coupler took about two weeks overall & that rectified the problem. Everything else was connected so once the part arrived it took about two minutes to fix.
So how does the rubber Grommet work? Do you put it in place of the original firewall cap? I'm waiting for my 2023 Jeep Sahara to come in; would the lock work for the new models too?
I just installed on my 2021 JLUR 4xe. Essentially, you are always unlocking/locking the mechanism every time you unlock/lock your doors. Maybe there is a fix? (still looking). I feel this will fail eventually because of mechanical wear. Perhaps should have been programmed to press unlock 3x to unlock? Since pressing unlock once, unlocks the driver's door; unlock twice, unlocks all doors. Otherwise great product. I still like it.
what about if the head unit is not working anymore regardless if I use the keys or manual. Are we screwed or there is still a way to release it ?
Hi, we have now launched version 2, with version 2, there is now a cable in the cab that can be pulled to manually release in the event of no vehicle power.
Can this be wired to that aux switches ?

If so, we're curious why you want to connect the hood lock to aux switches.

@@lasfitvehiclelife good morning, thank you for the reply. I ordered a 2024 Jeep Wrangler and I want to add a hood lock and taser. The constant locking and unlocking of the hood seems excessive when it may make sense to connect your device and wire it through the existing Auxiliary switches in the Jeep. This then allow me to only unlock or lock it when needed and not each time I go to my car to drive. Is this possible? Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. Would the instructions be the same for wiring this way?

will this work with a 4xe?
Yes. This hood lock works on Jeep Wrangler regardless of trim levels or engine types as long is equipped with the power door lock and key fobs.

And the close up shot of the Jeep grill at the end has no visible keyhole but there is one in the close up at the beginning of the video. So with no demonstration of the finished product at the end, I’m left wondering if there will be a visible keyhole in the grill.
