I am definitely a Speedy B person - it's versatile and secure, and a classic. I carry it mostly crossbody. Neverfull does nothing for me. I would never be able to carry it to my gym, it would never fit in a locker without squashing it, which I would never do to a pricey luxury bag. And I would never carry it to the office, especially not the monogram one. I find branded bags, with logos all over, in general, inappropriate in the business environment.
My first LV bags were a Speedy 25 and a Sac Plat bought the early 80s in NYC where I was a student. The Sac Plat was my book bag and the Speedy (as well as a Gucci crossbody with a resale value higher than the original price 🤷♀️) an every day bag. I still have all 3 bags and never use them. I bought a Speedy mono 30 in the 90s and do not use it anymore. I am more of a tote and crossbody person now and I love my World Tour NF MM. Love your videos💃
Hi LaurelBelle, I am a satchel girl for the most part, so the speedy would work best for me. Beautiful bag, and yes I would leave the shoulder strap attached, because I need hands free at times. Have a great weekend 💕

Any bag that restricts my ability to get into it, place items inside or remove essily -drives me crazy. For that reason I don't think I'd like a Speedy. I always have a fairly large calendar with me & it must fit; hence, totes are my go to.
Thanks for this! I bought a vintage Speedy and never use it because I like to be hands free so I will be selling it and getting the Speedy B. I also was gifted a replica Neverfull but prefer my totes to have a zipper so have purchased the Iena and am waiting for it to be delivered. I know I will be happy with both of those.

I know this is a question that’s been posed several times, and although “type” can be the solution, but I guess I don’t fit the pattern. I’ve owned 3 Speedys, I carried one to death, & the one I have now, has been in the closet for over a year and I’ve never carried it. I have and carry many brands of totes, but I don’t own a Neverfull, and I’ve never hungered for one. 🤷🏼♀️
Yep this is definitely a thing. I too have totes which never leave my shelf. And other types of bags too even though that style of bag is my style. It's hopefully a way to look at it when struggling to make a decision between the two when they are both calling.
Do you still have your Neverfull PM? I’m thinking of getting one. I have an MM and I have a Speedy 25. The Neverfull wasn’t around when I bought my Speedy. 😉

Have you ever seen a speedy 40. Can that be used as a handbag. Dimensions are same as neverfull
They are large for sure! Yes, they can be used as a handbag. I have a friend who used to weekend travel with it. It had a change of clothes in it. She used as her handbag, but also as her luggage at the same time! I thought that was too cool! I've always wanted a 40.

I'm sorry but this is something that makes me cringe. Every time I see "Speedy or Neverfull?" I think "That's not even comparing apples and oranges, it's like apples and, what, table lamps? It makes me think these are the only two LV bags the person asking the question can name. How can anyone compare a bandolier satchel to an open tote? Neverfull vs. Graceful (or the Delightful, if you're lucky and can find one)? A valid question. Speedy vs. any of the myriad satchel type bags LV makes? Yes. Does the person asking only know Speedy and Neverfull because that's what the Instagrammers carry? Probably!
Calico Quilter there are so many reasons why someone might want one of these bags. They are popular and more easy to obtain. Certainly grace can be found when asking a simple question of which handbag of two very popular handbags. The Brittany, Siena, Iena, etc will come for them also eventually, but today it is the NF and Speedy.
