2:14. Yes. Absolutely correct. The only major difference between oil filled and fan heater is that the fan heater heats up within a few seconds and is louder. Oil filled radiator takes some time to heat about (mine is around 10 to 15 minutes) and is pretty much silent. Just the odd pop or crackle from the oil. Oil filled is heavier to move around. I prefer oil filled because it's quieter.

Definitely true that it is quieter!

This same model is used by 1000's of brands but the prices vary so much. Mine is nedis and it cost 11$. Its pretty good and simple.

Does this type of convection heater, since it usually uses a resistance that heats at the bottom, produces orangy light ?

I no longer have it but the coils inside are very small and while I think they did glow a bit it wasn't a significant amount of light

Even the oil filled heater, you should never cover it with anything.

I’m surprised fan heaters are as efficient... you’d have thought the fan would tip it the other way. I find oil heaters too noisy in terms of bubbling sounds personally.

It's a fair point, though I think a fan is going to draw max 10-20W, which compared to the typical 2kW of a typical heating elements is small. Interesting point on the bubbling! The only one I've used was pretty silent.
