The ape made it feel like a metaphor to the existance of humans being rejected for its fear of the truth(Lucy). In the rewind. In forwards its humans exceptances of truth.

The original view in reverse is actually an explanation of Stephen hawking's theory of everything. When I watched that movie and the scene in the fireplace... This scene from Lucy flashed in my minds eye

The movie had a lot of negative comments, because they do not know exactly what is really happening, that is why they feel the movie is so stupid, but the reality is stupidity causing them not to understand the movie, the only problem that I saw in this movie, Lucy continues communicating with the people which contradict reality, truth is a super intelligent being is totally beyond the limit of our imagination,, like a human communicating with the bacteria
I kinda disagree. Throughout the whole movie her motivation is to pass on knowledge she obtains as she transcends humanity. She acknowledges that she’s becoming leas human and wants to do all she can to help humanity before she becomes something completely beyond it

More like she became 4th dimensional being. Basically you and I see and move in 3 dimensions (length, width and height)... more accurately we're 3 +1 dimensional beings as we have 3 physical dimensions but we move through time too. Lucy in contrast could also see and move freely through time as well. So the when she is for her wasn't predetermined but a choice, dinosaurs one moment but proto hominids the next. The moments we saw Lucy seeing history is were basically her mind was finally reaching this point and but her body was catching up to her minds new potential. Anyways, the concept of a 4 dimensional being is based off of very questionable science. As for example if we could take a 2 dimensional being (say your favorite cartoon character) to our dimension... it would die instantly as it never had internal organs. So it's ludicrous to assume Lucy would survive either. Which is why we often get the shedding of the physical body trope to work around this problem. Else we get problems of every atom in her body getting distorted because the electron orbitals could now hold energy in the 4th dimension too and many elements in our body would shift from metals to gases. So when the elements in our bodies fail so too would every organ in the body, including the brain. Plus who knows what she'd need to travel time not present in her 3d body.
Never could get the point, plot, story, whatever of this Movie I will never see again, only saw half of it first time before going to Burger King instead...
