- Have you heard of the brand new Master Books Social Studies curriculum, My Story? This is an early elementary Social Studies program that is beautifully made and can be adapted to suit a variety of ages and levels. I was sent a copy of this to try out and share with you guys to see what we thought and we fell in love!
Covering an introduction to geography, politics, economics, culture and world history, it has a little bit of everything from a Biblical Perspective. It is affordable, easy to use, and open-and-go. There really isn't anything else like this that you can get anywhere near $28!!!!!

I love this book and its many components!! thanks for sharing it. I like how you can use it for multiple grades although it does state its designed for grades 1-2. For grades 3 and higher Master books has America's Story history program that they recommend. Did your 5th grader find this to be too easy?

I am forever thankful that I found this video. My son starts 1st grade this year and I was having such a hard time finding a social studies curriculum. This sounds so interesting and unique.
Just ordered two of these! One for my 3rd grader, and one for my 5th grader. We're going to work through these together. I am loving Master Books! I discovered them last year through you and we are now using their math curriculum as well! It's great.

I purchased this for my 2nd grader & then my 5th & 6th graders (all 3 girls) saw it & wanted them too so I just ordered them for them as well for morning basket time. Thank you for showing these in great detail so I don’t feel like I am going into it so blindly. I also got their math & language arts for my 2nd grader from you reviewing those as well. We’re all super excited!

I'm seriously considering ditching all.of my planned curriculum and going solely with Masterbooks for the upcoming year. We're already finishing up MLLE Level 1 so it would be so easy to do level 2 for math and add in the language and social studies! Thx for sharing, so helpful!
Crazy Busy Fit Mom that’s what I ended up deciding to do. I have loved the open and go. It’s so easy. We all sit at the table with a snack and something to drink and we work through our books and no one is upset to do anything. It’s so stress free!

Could you please review "Mystery of History??" I'm in between "My Story & the World Around Me" & "Mystery of History" published by Bright Ideas Press. It is also very Biblically based. A series of living books in chronological order from Creation thru Ressurection (vol 1). Also for entire family. Would love to know how you think they compare! Love how comprehensive your reviews are!!

I bought this for my second grader. This is our first year homeschooling and I’m both nervous and excited to get started! This seems to be such a well rounded book and love how it’s so personal and speaks to the child.

A question: I have an upcoming 1st and 5th grader and we'll be using TGTB history. Do you think this curriculum could be used in a morning basket, something to be read from and have discussions but not used as our main SS curriculum? I would probably skip the activities in that case. What do you think?
I just found your channel this week and I've watched a bunch of your videos (LOVE them). I've been looking to change our curriculum and Masterbooks looks like a perfect fit.
We're in Qc, but in the process of selling to roadschool for the next year across North America. I love that it's just 1 book. Big space saver for an RV 😉
Where do you get the downloadable pdf versions of this and the math programs? I'm also in Canada and have 4 kids (6, 4, 2, 9m), so I think this would be more economical, but I can only find the hard copies on the Masterbooks website.
I love your videos and we became a master books home here I’m Canada! I ordered books already for kindergarten and preschoolers but it’s been two weeks and I’m still waiting. I do have this book an it’s amazing. I would like to ask you which kids bibles do you recommend; We are a trilingual family if you know any bilingual bibles I would really appreciate your help. Can Canadian use this story or is it heavily focus on the states?
If you were using this for two kiddos, would you purchase two textbooks or would they be okay to share?

Do you know if Masterbooks creates suggested packages per grade level? I’m a missionary Mom living abroad who simply wants someone to do the thinking for me, especially since I just need to do one shipment a year and be done. I don’t have the luxury to try different things out.

Will you do a review on world's story as well? I really would like to view your review on it before making a decision btn the two. I have 3rd and 4th grade boys who want to do world's story but am not sure if I should start them on my story first.

Kim Samuel if you are in America Kim, you could look at America’s Story for your third and fourth graders. That’s what I’m doing with my fourth grader. It is so hard to choose from them because everything is so great! I also want to do the Fight for Freedom. There’s only so much time though!

I wish they would come out with a different Social Studies curriculum for the younger grades. This one just doesn’t capture my 1st graders attention at all. He does well in every other subject, and he especially loves MTW and Math.

A question to everyone who has used this curriculum: I have an almost 3 year old, a 4 year old and a 5 year old. Could this be used for them together? Sounds like a very enjoyable curriculum, more of a discovery adventure than a textbook. Thank you. Your videos are very helpful.

Hello, first let me start by saying I love your review videos, but I am disheartened that My Story didn't include Africa in there content page as it is the second largest continent in the world. There is a large African and African American homeschool community that are Christians but if we don't find our selves in books why would we consider buying it. I know this have nothing to do with you as you are just the presenter but it will help if you can tell me if any of the pages discover Africa for my children and all of God's precious little children of color. I like masterbooks because of you Rebecca presenting amazing review videos and I was considering using them but My Story didn't give me a good picture of the company if they left out Africa. Thanks for listening and I hope you respond.
Angela Ewharekuko I checked on the Masterbooks website and in the My story 1 TOC it shows Africa in Quest 2. Africa is also included in My Story 2.
