I want to make something to condition polymer clay. I didn't notice there were clamps like this. The toggle clamp looks very clever, indeed! Thank you!!!
I've seen a similar use of the lever to make an insertion tool for home made wooden, or bake-able clay pen sleeves in order to generate the pressue to insert the pen mechanism into the custom wooden or clay sleeve... very nice.

6：30辺りまでは何をなさるのかなぁ、と見ていました。成程、便利ですね。50年位前に皮クラフトをした時は3つずつ穴を空けていました（笑）。手でするよりも力が均一に掛かりそうな気がします。
同じクランプを利用した菱目打ち機が数万円で販売されていますが、自分で作れば3,000円程度の原価です。作り方も簡単なので興味のある方は是非チャレンジしてはいかがでしょうか？
木材の剛性を考えた無理のない設計、結合なので強度も抜群。強度の必要な”型絞り”加工にも使えるほど機械剛性があります。
【特徴】
支柱と台座の接合は、接着剤が強力に機能するせん断接着＋ボルト接合です。シンプルな作りですが接合部が弾性変形することはほぼありません。
一方、支柱と台座が木ねじで接合している類似品を見かけますが、この場合は非常に作りが弱いです。
また、支柱の側面にクランプを取り付けているモノもありますが、支柱にねじれ応力が発生するので機械剛性が著しく低下します。

マジで神だと思いました、 レザークラフトで初めにやる作業で、毛羽立ちを抑えるための、トコフィニッシュでのとこ磨きも機械化できませんか？ コンパウンド見ないのがいいのかなーなんて考えたりするのですが、 いまいちアイデアが思い浮かびません。

I posted on your newer press that I want to make one out of wood. Good to see that you started out with making one first out of wood. I think this idea has some merit. However I would glue up 4-6 of those boards wide, and overlap the base and also do that 1 board wider all laminated together. In fact it would probably be better done the same way with plywood several boards thick. There's no way that you could break it then! I saw another guy do about the same thing when building a large bandsaw from scratch. He made several of them and even used them to mill trees. You need to build a lot of strength into the spine to put enough tension on bandsaw blades. Anyway, cheers! Great video as always.
That would have been Matthias Wandel. He did make a VERY rigid bandsaw frame! More rigid than steel frame

手軽でいいアイデアですね！表は真っ直ぐ打てていても裏はガタガタ…という状態に悩んでいたのですが、この治具があれば、解決できそうです。最近はネジ穴が切られているチャックも売られているみたいですし、真似させていただきます😁

レザーに穴が空いた時の音が心地いですね^_^
これを見てひらめいたのですが、ボール盤がそのまま流用できますね。
菱目打ちの時は回転止めの工夫が必要だと思いますが。
私の場合、卓上ボール盤ですでに試しています。
チョット使いにくい部分があったのでこちらを開発しました。
もし、ボール盤で試してみて、使いにくいと感じたらトグルクランプを試してみてください。
これ、ガチでほしい！ってなりました。ハサミみたいに菱目穴をあける器具を３０００円で買ったんですが、こいつには重大な急所がありまして、懐が浅いので奥は無理。こちらのプレスなら中央部分どころか、鳩目のかしめまで可能。これは作らない訳にはいきませんね。
木槌を使う作業は菱目打ち機で代用することができます。
作り方も簡単なのでぜひお役立てください。

今までドリル用クランプを使っていましたが、これを参考に自作しました。ドリルチャックにつけたボルト（Ｍ10）が金属用接着液の為金属溶接と比べて多少不安です。
と、思うでしょ？
テコにしても外れなかったので人力では多分無理。
もっとも、接着面を荒らさなかったり、接着不良なら外れると思いますが。
ご返答有り難うございました。 これで安心しました！！
