Yep, no doubt, still get emotional from this soundtrack, even after playing TotK(which also has a spectacular soundtrack, but in a different way). The Legend of Zelda team never disappoints its fans, that's for sure.
All I have to say is... Bravo, Nintendo, Bravo! This wasn't just a great game, it was truly an experience that embodied Shigeru Miyamoto's philosophy. "A game should, over everything be fun"...and that's exactly what this was...Fun! Simply amazing!
Mark Snelling what i can say, sir, is that this game ain’t fun. It’s a good game, but it’s pretty stressful. It ain’t fun, even though it’s a really good game.
I think this is my philosophy when people say it’s a bad game or could’ve been better, I agree that it could’ve been better, and that there are problems with it, but this is the first game they used the engine for and of course it isn’t gonna be the best. I think this game would be even better if they polished it if/when they make a follow up. But I wouldn’t have taken away what makes this game great just to add a better story or dungeons.
I gave my TV a standing ovation after this happened...my entire body was shaking from just utter excitment and amazment... nintendo made me feel like it's my first zelda game I have ever played all over again, complete with the entire wonder and awe involved in such an event. An absolutley magical experience, that's how I would define this game. CANNOT WAIT FOR THE DLC!
I had this game the day I bought my switch but side lined it to play MK8D. I finally decided to try it again in January this year because I was BORED. Thank god I did cause if I didn’t I would have probably died
if you haven't noticed; 1:10-1:24 is the exact same tune that plays in the memory "despair" when zelda starts to cry in link's arms. brings tears to my eyes.
Game of the Year 2017. Well deserved. Congratulations Eiji Aonuma, Hidemaro Fujibayashi, and every other immensely talented member of the Zelda team who developed this awe-inspiring, breath-taking, and wild experience. This is an adventure like no other.
I'm not kidding, the game lives up to the hype for me. And the ending was magnificent. The final battle was magnificent. Everything about it was magnificent. Could very well be the best game I have ever played. And honestly? It might have supplanted Pokemon Emerald as my favourite of all time. The game was challenging, but so rewarding. I love it so much.
That little bit at 1:10 that plays when Zelda turns around to look at Link feels as if it represents their emotional connection, and their long overdue reunion after 100 years of isolation and hardship. Beautiful game.
"I can no longer hear the voice inside the sword... I suppose it would make sense if my power had dwindled over the past 100 years." Turns around with sad music "I'm surprised to admit it, but I can accept that." *laughs* Link and Zelda walk away together, with the flock of silent princesses in the air giving Hyrule a new hope. I'm sorry, but why is this ending bad again???
Because it's tiny compared to every other previous Zelda games. Zelda doesn't even get to say goodbye to the champions one last time, they just disappear. This game was massive so the small ending for me was a let-down.
People were expecting fanfare, a parade, maybe Hyrule rebuilding. You know, the usual finale epic fantasy gets. For me though, I loved the ending. YOUR story is out in the wild, but Zelda's story was more intimate and narrow in fo us, about her insecurities, frustrations, internal conflicts and struggles. So this small, more intimate scene showing her at peace with herself and content really helped finish rounding out her growth and was very fitting and showed the writers had restraint to finish the story with a naturally suited ending rather than the usual pomp and circumstance. It's kinda like how the Hobbit ended with Bilbo and Balin and Gandalf chatting in his living room. It just fits.
The game needed a small ending. It needed a point of contrast against the scale of the full scale assault we just lead against Ganon. It's all about balance. A fanfare would've overdone it. Besides, the smaller conclusion keeps the story open ended, which, in my opinion, is always preferable.
I love that the theme in the final 20 seconds is the opening 20 seconds to the title theme from the original game. Perfectly bookended over a period of 30 years. Amazing! Nothing is perfect but I’ve been gaming for 30 years and this game is as close to perfect as it gets.
Botw was my first ever Zelda game. We do own Ocarina of Time but I never played it because I was too young, and eventually I forgot about it. We didn't buy any Zelda games after that. But we bought botw because it looked cool and it was the only game that came out during March we liked. When I finished it, I felt chills and listening to this just made it so much better.

Je suis revenue écouter cette masterclass avant que Tears of the kingdom sorte, et quel plaisir…
to think that this game was almost relegated to the shadow realm, the Wii U, is just so scary. So happy it released with the switch.
Yet they still haven't fix botw

I am in the middle of a crying episode because of all the memories, good and bad, that this theme brings me back to. And it's so beautifully done. I can't stop
If the word triumph had its own theme.

Spectacular Job Nintendo
I tear up every time I listen to this. So good, so relaxing, and the nature sounds too it off. The ending might not have been amazing, but I loved it. And this music was a big reason why.
I found the hill with the Princess of the Calm. It's behind Kakariko. And it's so wonderful.🥰
I'm stunned and full of goosebumps.

Sounds like the end to a Disney movie.
More like a Studio Ghibli movie. I just watched Princess Mononoke, and the similarities are pretty damn close.
For some reason, watching the end cutscene mixed with this music was kinda emotional for me.
awesome game!! defientely worth waiting for after all these years! whether youre playing it on wii u or switch its great!
When you blow up your friends country in Minecraft and finally peace is within the server
