These are 7 DIY car mods that anyone can do and they will greatly improve your handling, traction and therefore your overall speed. They dnt increase horsepower or torque but as I explain in this video you don't need more torque or horsepower to increase your 0-60 mph or your 1/4 mile run times.

These are great tips. The #1 is probably the least or never mentioned. I was born in 1974 and in 1986 my Decided to relieve his original 1983 VW GTI of wear and tear, so he bought a 1986 Toyota Corolla GTS. The Corolla is the car I learned how to drive at 12 years old. Both of these cars are 5speed manuals. At first it was brutal, with my Dad yelling at me to be careful with the clutch; however, towards grasping the concept and driving on public roads, I have become a very efficient driver. I've also taken the 86 as I call it to road races in mountain roads and never lost. I tend to beat the hell out of over powered cars with my now modified 1986 Toyota Corolla. The 86 is no longer driven daily, but driven from time to time. I really miss my Dad, since he passed away in October 11th 2019. 💗⚡ Learning to drive is totally key! Thank you! 👍

You didn’t mention gofaster stickers. They add 1-3hp per sticker. Multiply that by 1.3 if you have an aftermarket spoiler. The stickers are not to be confused with stickfamily stickers which detract horsepower and wetness initiation.

While a lot of mod videos focus on speed and performance, I would actually like to learn about mods that increase comfort (even if some performance has to be sacrificed, or maybe comfort enhancements can be balanced out by performance ones). I have a base 2017 VW GTI, and while it's a pretty great all-around car for my needs, it's not the most comfortable ride out of the gate. I'd like to try and improve that. What are your thoughts?

The best point was the one about the driver. For example it is very rare to find a Vtech owner who can actually drive the car without falling off cam.

Andrew Thompson I was for a long time. You have the option to pay extra for valuable parts, but you don't have to. They'll pay like it's stock otherwise. It doesn't cost much if you did want to but they only cover it at 50 percent value. Original parts are usually more valuable. Come see my efforts with a recent $42 mod. :)

An many other things? Please make a "How to make your car the lightest. Video. I really enjoy how you assume we don't know the basics, because honestly I don't!

Moon Light pull out the engine, biggest weight issue cars have. Easily loose a ton of weight. Hope that helped

Nice video buddy. I have a video request: Can you advise mods to make your car have a more luxurious feel ? For example: A Toyota made to feel like a Lexus.

So, coil overs are better for racing than air suspension? Air suspension is more for looks and comfort?

Interesting point regarding motor mounts. Do you think that worn motor mounts could contribute to slightly lower acceleration and lower fuel mileage? I just replaced motor mounts on a 1999 E320 and MPG went up maybe 5% afterwards. Didn't think about it until now. Also, I have 1999 Acura TL that I noticed acceleration from stop isn't as good as before. Could be many thngs, I supposed. But I'll check the motor mounts on that now.

When considering a short shifter, you definitely wanna look into short THROW shifters. You wanna reduce the throw. Sometimes when you get a cheap short shifter, you actually increase the effort required to shift, which is no bueno.
Regarding motor (& tranny) mounts, you can look into diy mount filling. For example, 3M Windo Weld is a urethane that my local Vatozone has recently begun to carry in stock and works wonders in filling in oem mounts. Definitely less expensive than aftermarket poly mounts and not so extra stiff. You decide how strong you want the vibrations to be.

May the "force" be with the stabilizer/antiroll/sway bar 🤣🤣

Honestly, never thought about a moon/sunroof delete. I will now be planning on doing that to my Is300. Ill probably see if I can make a manual mock up that still works as a sunroof but will be way lighter,

Getting ready to buy an HHR with 100,000 miles on it. Does it have a timing belt or timing chain? Is the engine interference or non-interference. Would you do something on the HHR from 2010 or 2011? Thanks, Bruce

Weight distribution: looks like the Dodge is lowered in rear. Adds maybe 10% weight transfer in back. Great video

you're wrong in my opinion about the sway bar.... it pushes down on the control arm keeping it from rising too high with the help of the resistance from being connected to the other side

Is it true that on 4 cylinder engines it is normal to vibrate a little at idle? If so, would upgrading the mounts or maybe adding extra stabilizing stuff help? Thank you for your videos

This is an unrelated question. Pep Boys mechanic and service manager told me that the small misfires my car is having (1) on one cylinder and (3) on another at idle ( are normal) and all cars misfire. I’d like to know if this is true especially since they were the ones who changed my spark plugs. Any advice is much appreciated.
