    this looks like a figure that you transform once and never again

    Hi Charles, I'm Walter from Rome. Do you remember me? Great review as always! I hope you and your whole family are well. I saw this review of yours and thanks to this I decided to buy this model that I had skipped; in truth it also contributed to the fact that I'm seeing the anime Getta Robot Arc which contributed to the purchase of the model. It gives me the impression that the transformation is not simple and that there is little metal, however aesthetically it is very beautiful. I send you a warm greeting.
    Walter

      Hi Walter, of course I remember you my friend. Thanks for your well wishes. I hope you and your family are well too. Getter Emperor is the first fully transformable Getter that Bandai produced, and I feel that it is done quite decently. I personally quite enjoy playing with it, apart from some parts that need precise alignment. I hope you are having fun with yours as well. Nice to hear from you again and do keep in touch, :)

      @@ronsarmiento2003 a place online called bonanza. It's kind of like eBay. What I am looking at the robots seem to be a little overpriced for my liking but just like anywhere else they have deals and such and I just happening for some reason to search it online and I saw that price popped up and I bought it immediately. I'm not really a big fan of getter robo but the emperor is cool and the D evolution figure is amazing by sentinel. I'm definitely going to get that.

    Trying to transform this thing filled me with the rage of 1,000 suns. Thanks for this video. If it weren't for following your transformation I would have thrown it out the window. He looks pretty good together. I won't be taking him apart anytime soon!

    Too bad there was no Getter Emperor 2 & 3 combinations

    • @arx3516
      @arx3516 Před 5 lety

      I doubt they even exist in canon. I suspect Emperor is like Shin Dragon, as that it can use the attacks of the other forms without transforming into them.

    • @boma1983
      @boma1983 Před 5 lety +1

      technically it can transform 2nd and 3rd form. because this form named Emperor 1. but since Ken Ishikawa and Tomohiro Shimoguchi (Devolution) didn't draw it, so its impossible to make it, unless Bandai would make the original toy form.
      it would be better for SOC to put on 1st form (popular one). i cant imagine how much kibble it would be if its triple change. and it will sacrifice the articulation

  • @impossiblepie
    @impossiblepie Před 5 lety

    Great review. I agree it's well engineered but the amount of times I would change this thing from robot to the three components I find not woth buying , would probably want just a non transforming robot and add the three ships as solid pieces like for example getter 1, you get the robot and the three ships that form him. But again this toy is still really impressive.

    • @MrCreepjo
      @MrCreepjo Před 5 lety +1

      There is a reason why there is two soc line. One for a complex gimmicks and full transformation that's meant to be stationary and the reason full action very posable none transforming figure.

  • @UC1180_
    @UC1180_ Před 3 lety

    For all those complaining about the price shouldn’t be surprised. Your basic SOC will easily run you over a hundred bucks. If it don’t then you are buying a bootleg

  • @gabrielcontreras3418
    @gabrielcontreras3418 Před 5 lety

    It’s great and all for a combining robot but I’d rather get a non-combining one from sentinel since chances are once I transform it I’m gonna leave it like that.

    Legit just save your money and get the soul of chogokin Voltron. Assuming you don't already have it. It's fun to combine, extremely posable, and aesthetically pleasing as all hell. Just get the Voltron, this figure looks great but for the price you expect more. If you're a fan you're gonna buy it regardless of what I say lol

    Disappointing, as an owner of sentinel getter and black getter, this looks small with limited articulation. What size is he? Is he least bigger that a metal build ? He looks small and cheap, do you think sentinel will make a version of him?
    (They did the new devolution getter)

    • @boma1983
      @boma1983 Před 5 lety

      yes my only complain is the size

    • @OptimusPrimeSG
      @OptimusPrimeSG  Před 5 lety +5

      He is 22cm tall. Slightly taller than the standard metal build Gundam figure. To me the main selling point is the intricate engineering behind this figure. Do note it’s a fully transformable combiner with zero parts swapping. For a character as complex as getter robo, I consider this an engineering marvel. :)

    • @OptimusPrimeSG
      @OptimusPrimeSG  Před 5 lety

      David Lenshyn it’s actually not that fiddly if I do it off camera. The only tricky part is getting the alignment for the 3 parts during the combination for each part. You have to be quite precise to get everything lined up nicely. And the parts are actually molded very nicely so you won’t feel like you have to use a lot of force to fit the parts in place. If you are using too much force, maybe you are doing it wrong. :)

  • @tsukuyomitomaki
    @tsukuyomitomaki Před 4 lety

    Why is it so hard to find the ones that dose all 3 forms of his figure ?!?
    It’s so damn annoying
    You’d expect that for a video that’s 45:15 long that they would at least include the first two forms but no they decided to dedicate it all to sculpting and articulation
    I had high hopes for this video that it would have all three forms or at least be part 1 of 3 but nope it’s just like all the other ones that done a review on this figure
    I’m not buying a figure when I can’t even see the other 2 modes if it has any but since those getter machines has 3 different faces on them then that PROVES they have their own transformations!!!

    • @whatthefuckeidos9230
      @whatthefuckeidos9230 Před 2 lety
