Thanks! I started with Gamecube as well (though just regular Ep1&2 here, as we didn't get Plus in the UK...), so it'll always hold a special place in my heart. I do play BB a lot more now though, just because it's where most of the active community is. Thanks for watching!
I haven't played a huge amount of ver2, but I definitely remember people prioritising certain weapons and Red Handgun was always mentioned. In GC/XBox it didn't seem to matter as much thankfully!
I would love to see more of these kinds of videos. Maybe more short focused form for searchability. Translating some of the more obscure info and guides into a video format. As someone whos been playing since dreamcast I love this game, but often times my retention for everything is really bad. Especially in large text blocks, which is where most of the historically cataloged info for PSO is.
Thanks for the comment! I do plan on doing more PSO content going forward as it's been pretty well-received! I totally get what you mean about old PSO info, a lot of the sites probably pre-date CZcams 😂 I guess large text dumps were the only option at the time. I'll keep the short form videos in mind going forward; I think some content needs a longer video, but if it can be summarised in a shorter video that works for me too.
@@SectionSkyly I agree with shorter videos. I get that sometimes its not possible depending on the topic. It took me a few sittings to get through this video. I can't wait to see more.
Based on what you say in the video, apparently the ultimate experience is that half the enemies can instantly kill you. Not saying its a bad thing, just saying mentioning that might scare off some players.
I get what you mean; most of the instant kill is in Episode 2 ultimate, but realistically even once you get to Caves the game starts throwing Megid at you 😂 (even Forest if you get Hildetorr!) For a new player I admit that could be enough to stop them playing. As long as you know how to deal with it though it's manageable for the most part. Last thing I want to do is scare people away from Ultimate but I feel its also important to let new players know how things change!
Not only there are quests where you can get items with Photon Drops, but they're also used as currency by players in Ephinea for some reason.... So you can buy rare items from other players with it....
Photon Drops are used as currency by players on most servers! Even going back to the Sega servers, PDs were commonly used to trade with other players. It also helped people set valuations of what their gear was worth.
@@SectionSkyly That explains things a bit, to be fair, I wasn't aware Photon Drops even were really a thing when I first started playing, I did play on private servers like Schthack when I was a kid but I didn't knew shit about the game, I didn't even knew about weapon special attacks, much less about the existence of things like Dark Flow, lol.
lol im sry bud but PSO2 sucks ass and just so u know im a video game master with 29 years of gamin experince i do know it sucks ok its all about cosmtics just to much huge epic fails in over all game play design@@DatBoiRatchet
It's been too many years to remember the name, but what's the item to avoid being frozen? mostly because im using a Frozen Shooter. I still play sometimes in Ephinea :)
Quick update on this: On Ephinea, you can access any Episode in Ultimate at Lv80! 90/100/110 was on the old Sega servers!
Loving the videos. Got me to bust out my GameCube and pso ep 1&2+. I’m been playing blue burst but nothing beats the og.

thats cool u helpin others with explain everything lol didnt relize that was most of it ^^
I remember when ver2 launched on the Dreamcast the word on the street was to get a Red Handgun. Average ver1 rares just didn't cut it.

Yeah, this is on Ephinea. I tend to jump back and forth between this and NGS, but if you see me on Ephinea feel free to give me a shout!

Cure/Freeze! You can get it from a few drops or use the Wandering Tekker to gamble for it (details for that are on Ephinea's website)
@@SectionSkyly Thank you! I think i can't get it droped because im Greenill but i'll try the other methods.
If all else fails you could trade for it on the Ephinea forums! Cure/Freeze should be pretty cheap!
@@SectionSkyly Lol i got it at the first try with the Wandering Tekker hahahaha
Congrats! It's a really useful unit!
a game designed for Millenials where you kill Boomers
