#rodneydangerfield #comedy #standupcomedy #standup - Hudba
"I Don't Get No Respect" was his standby line. I remember him when I was a kid. Old style humor. He did actually have a long term loving relationship with his wife, I read.
King of the one liners - RIP Rodney
A joke machine gun!!!!😂
I remember Tommy ("Jus' Like That!" ) Cooper from TV when I grew up in England in the 1960s and 70s (I moved there -- my mother's homeland -- with her and my 2 siblings -- from the US at age 7 and returned Stateside in 1975. Tommy is unknown over here (I read he died of a heart attack on stage during a live televised performance and at first people thought his collapsing on stage was part of the act. But the producers quickly cut to commercial when they realized it wasn't.) Thanks for the reminder of those jokes of his you told. Rodney, who died in 2004, was unknown in England as far as I know. The guy at the desk you see him sitting next to in some of these clips was Johnny Carson, who hosted the "Tonight Show" on NBC-TV from 1962 to 1992. Carson was himself a comedian and early in his career had performed magic tricks. Carson inherited the talk show from a couple of previous hosts and it continues today, having been hosted by quite a few other guys. Dangerfield always cracked up Carson, who would sit there and play "straight man" for his one-liners. Rodney's tag line was "I Don't Get No Respect." Tommy Cooper, Les Dawson, Morcambe and Wise, Mike Yarwood...I watched a lot of British comedy as a kid. Not all of it would have been understood here due to differences in culture and slang. It's good, though, to see comics who can get laughs on both sides of the pond.
Rodney was the LEGEND!!
Rodney resonates with me. My father would do impersonations of him and Jackie Gleason. The simplicity of the delivery and the familiarity of his humor, just grand.
ooh wonderful, this jokes are so funny, never heard about him before, thanks for showing us new content, Rory😆😂👏🏻👌
He pretty ruled 70's comedy.
Norm liked Rodney alot.
One of the all time greats. Gonna go look up Tommy Cooper now.
Easy Money
My favorite Rodney Movie
I still watch it if I catch it on.👍
"I'm not one for jokes kid" - Rodney Dangerfield
Great reaction. When I saw this I figured you must have seen this already. Better late than never. 😂
If you ever start doing movie reactions, a good start would be "Caddyshack" (1980) w/ Rodney Dangerfield, Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, Another Y-tube movie reactor calls it the leading film in "The Coc*ine Cabinet Hall of Fame" for 80's movies and I agree. They were high as a kite when they made this flick. One of the best comedies ever.
“Back To School” is great too.
R.I.P. Rodney.

Did you say that other comedian's name was Tommy Cooper?
Rodney was a beast, but IMO one should never ever watch compilations of standup comics. They completely fuck up the overall timing, pacing and the vibe the audience is having.
No respect. When I was a baby I was breast fed by my father.
