I was lucky enough to meet Saenchai at an airport in Thailand a few years back. I was going through the final security check area, turned around and there he was right behind me, greeting me with a big smile on his face. It took a few moments for it to register in my brain. I'd literally been watching all his fights on CZcams just months prior, so it was pretty surreal to see the guy right there giving me a friendly smile! I imagine he didn't expect this random Western guy to know who he was, and he seemed pretty happy when I said "Are you Saenchai?!" with all this excitement in my voice. Anyway, I ended up taking a couple of photos with him. He seemed like a down to Earth, friendly person. I remember he was with another fighter who I believe was Singdam. Now that guy looked absolutely exhausted! Turns out they were also on the same flight as me back to Bangkok.

I love small fighters they always have the best crowds hands down. I’m subscribed to a guy who’s ring name is Baby Hulk, he’s 5’0” and is so fun to watch.
I first saw Baby Hulk on the CZcams channel Street Beefs, and while the name implies dirty back alley brawls, it’s not quite that anymore. There’s some structure and rules that are enforced.
People saw Baby Hulk regularly take down dudes who are my height and asked him “if you can defeat a man with nearly a foot on you, why aren’t you going pro?”

Even against Nasukawa it had to be a STRICT boxing match despite Floyd's notable size advantage. Saenchai drops skilled, conditioned opponents with basic moves. It takes a knowledgeable critic to point out that he's not beating bums for show, he really is that good.
    -
Once I saw this great clip of a TKD guy who travelled around the middle east wiping people out. With a kickin' bassline track playing the whole clip was spinning kicks, knockouts, knockdowns, aerial stuff. Then I noticed that the short cuts were just the finishing moves, the opponents didn't seem to be either well-known or in elite shape and the subject of the clip never seemed to be in terrible danger. That's how I knew I was watching a vanity reel by a rich boy who'd gone around slapping local tough guys in a sort of clown act spectacle.
    -
When you watch Saenchai, he's clearly up against some quality and in as much danger as anybody can be. He makes it look easy by being that much better in every attribute than his opponents, not because they're middle-grade, but because in some ways he transcends the field. That's one definition of genius. He wasn't invincible and that just makes it more convincing.

Compared to Buakaw style Saenchai's is advanterous and dynamic, perhaps this resukted from his observations of other aports as well. Yes.. to Thai opponents.
He fought the elite of the elite since 15.
Thongchai is the guy who KO’d him, was 24 at the time and already a legend known for heavy fists.
From his championship win at Lumpini at 17 he literally had to fight the best of the best (he was at the pinnacle).
So losing is natural when you fight at his weight in muay thai.
Besides this, he took many challenges such as giving up weight to THAI’S.
He was so good he had to give up weight to the elite of the elite. Lol.
His losses came from mostly bigger opponents.

    Best Agility/instinct = Lerdsila
    Best Strength = Buakaw
    Best Staminq/Endurance = Rodtang
Best Intelligent with Max critical atk status = Saenchai (from my observation, it looks like every atks from him is all critical)
