Saenchai is a God amongst men🙏. Thank you for this video Kenshin
@ZU Co for sure
thank you PHATT!
The best striking fighter of the world and one of the best in history for sure! I don't know about GOAT, I consider some Golden Age fighters to have that title, but definitely in the discussion
Pretty much everything, but nothing beats the dance at the end of the vid!
I was lucky enough to meet Saenchai at an airport in Thailand a few years back. I was going through the final security check area, turned around and there he was right behind me, greeting me with a big smile on his face. It took a few moments for it to register in my brain. I'd literally been watching all his fights on CZcams just months prior, so it was pretty surreal to see the guy right there giving me a friendly smile! I imagine he didn't expect this random Western guy to know who he was, and he seemed pretty happy when I said "Are you Saenchai?!" with all this excitement in my voice. Anyway, I ended up taking a couple of photos with him. He seemed like a down to Earth, friendly person. I remember he was with another fighter who I believe was Singdam. Now that guy looked absolutely exhausted! Turns out they were also on the same flight as me back to Bangkok.
🤣🤣 that’s an awesome story bro
Agreed, awesome experience bro, I'm not sure if I'd have the guts to even go up to him.
But honestly when you met him were you expecting something other than the friendly and down to earth Saenchai who you can't help but admire respect and fear (if opponent)
👊😎
Vdry nice story
Vdry nice story
What a groupie
I would say yes. Technique, power, style, showman and a big heart. All his opponent praised him. Also the man lasted 30 years in what is arguably the hardest of fighting styles.. true legend.
The hardest in a fight, but if you want to be good at it you must train taking a lot of care of you body, means you must do very few hard sparing and just before fights.
For reference, Saenchai is 5'2" and 132 lbs most of the time. Against significantly larger opponents, his success and dominance are absolutely mind-blowing.
5'2????? He's listed at 5'4 on wikipedia. Still shorter then expected. Just makes him more epic.
I love small fighters they always have the best crowds hands down. I’m subscribed to a guy who’s ring name is Baby Hulk, he’s 5’0” and is so fun to watch.
I first saw Baby Hulk on the CZcams channel Street Beefs, and while the name implies dirty back alley brawls, it’s not quite that anymore. There’s some structure and rules that are enforced.
People saw Baby Hulk regularly take down dudes who are my height and asked him “if you can defeat a man with nearly a foot on you, why aren’t you going pro?”
Sorry, seenchai may be a Legend And a great kickboxer, but due to Americans Giant aThLeTeS such as Tyson, Ronaldo, even Connor, they keep Totally overcrowded our TV screen throughout years,i had no ideas who Seenchai was,. the world seems to be put it's weight unbalance on the western sport star. Is he as great as Connor or Fame as Bruce Lee,. .. let's see , if he turn his luckiness into being a movie star. Is the size mattress,. ?
I need to spin the Globe, and i did it through you tube, until i found Seenchai. What a great man, 150-1 and 70 win In a row
“he has 1 loss unlike me the greatest fighter of all time.”, Mayweather
@@DxModel219 Mayweather has no claim to greatest fighter ever. Boxer maybe, but even that's up for debate
Saenchai is a legend. He has a cartel that few fighters could accomplish and over 30 years of professional carrer. Thats already makes history in combat sports, but he made all of that having fun and RESPECT for his oponents. Western fighters a lot to learn from him.
agree with everything you said brother
I'd LOVE to see Saenchai fight Mayweather under MMA, muay thai, shoot boxing or K-1 rules (but ABSOLUTELY *NOT* WESTERN BOXING RULES) but Floyd's people would probably never allow it LOL. Even against Nasukawa it had to be a STRICT boxing match despite Floyd's notable size advantage. He'd have a (somewhat less) size advantage over Saenchai also but I'm sure it still wouldn't be enough to fight outside of *STRICT WESTERN BOXING RULES* for Mayweather lol.
@@AGNOSTIC_incomprehensibleXIV so naive to think tenshin didnt take part, floyd vs tenshin was just a ridiculous plays to show how them both shat into the face of all combat sport fans, so fricking disrespecful.
I agree with you only as far as Muay Thai goes! He certainly is a legend there! However, I don't think he would really stand a chance against a Henry Armstrong, Sugar Ray Leonard, Manny Pacquiao or Roberto Duran.
@@AGNOSTIC_incomprehensibleXIV Nasukawa wanted to box Floyd, to test his boxing skills, why would Floyd do an MMA match when he's almost 50 years old, Floyd beat Canelo easily when he is almost 40 and Canelo hasn't lost since and is the current face of boxing, what win doess Seanchai have like that, there's like ten elite muy thai fighters in the whole sport and the rest are bums
His personality while in the ring is simply golden. Hides his anger when riled, and let's his confidence leak through smiles and kisses. Pure entertainment in both talent and showmanship.
I just love the way he conducts himself in the ring, the way he fights and his antics. He is The Best of the bests.
agreed amazing
La crème de la crème
oh yah? u like kissing on dudes in the middle of clench? u stroke the balls too when u get on the ground?
one of most amazing thing is of all his losses he was just one time lost KO and that was in 1996. almost 25 year no one KOed Saenchai
300 fights later no ko lol
@@LawrenceKenshin it would be really interesting to breakdown what happened in his head when he was last KO'ed. like, what tilted in his mind so bad...that even a knock down was nearly impossible.. his mindset must be really like a flowing river..
@@FC-yg4wi u know when u get KOd its not about mindset anymore at all lol (at getting up again, yes, but not in that sudden moment after impact when u go down like a wet bag)
@@alpha-cf2oi you didnt get what i meant, but it doesnt matter.
His feet and then, equilibrium and moving speed are amazing. Also his myofascial tensioning is top level. So it’s difficult to’ disequilibrate or hurt him, to put him down
I had no idea there was “controversy” behind the quality of who Saenchai has fought. From my perspective, who HASN’t Saenchai fought?
Lordzilla
Yessss

I had the extreme pleasure of working with saenchai in a master class. Such a great teacher, and above that a great person. Respectful, kind, and funny. There was a party after and we shared drinks and songs. Definitely a day i will never forget, and i will always be thankful for the rare opportunity of spending time with a living legend. I wish i could like this video more than once. 👍👍👍
I love Saenchai... He's most definitely one of the greatest fighters of all recorded history. To witness him fight is like watching an artist painting a masterpiece every time. He seems to brilliantly and genuinely express his spirit with every movement and action. It's truly a sight to behold.
Truly
id say the bob ross of combat sports, but then theres anderson silva.. honestly these two fighting would be a thing of legend
Thanks to your channel I've been a Saenchai fan for a while now. Also like you said, I believe he's fighting internationally so he can spread Muay Thai to wider audiences and shine a spotlight on Thai fighters. Great video as always.
Thanks so much for supporting rave ! Hope it got you to appreciate the art and athlete more 🙏🙏
Saenchai is a beast.. arguably the Muay Thai GOAT. He's such a devastating striker for such a little guy. Mad props to him. I absolutely love his sweeps and dumps... they're legendary.
Everytime I watch saenchai I am in awe of him, what a legend 🙌. Quality video again lawrence thank you 🙏
am in awe too brother, thanks so much for watching!
Yeah videos, especially break downs, of Saenchai are one of the few I go back to again and again and always come away mind blown.
Man I love this guy.. Old school flashy, entertaining..his timing and evasiveness is unmatched by any fighter in any mma / Muay Thai past or present..
I dare to suggest Lordshila. Though Senchai is the best of the best.
Saenchai understands his opponents, his surroundings, reacts accordingly and makes desicisions in a split second. Everybody can get fit and good skills if train hard but not everybody can have composure, quick thinking, sneaky and smart like Saenchai.
Nah, he just kicks the tree harder and more good. He lets the coconuts fall on abdomen. He condition shins
@@donsimons9810 so according to your logic, someone who have better condition and strong kick alone can win a combat sport? In that case nobody need experience and coach then. Pfft 🥴😵💫

Often times he plays the Jester in the ring cause he’s just so good , but yes-King of Kings-Saenchai!
Absolutely agree!!
Hell ya saenchai been favorite fighter for a long time! He so good it's unreal
unreal indeed!
There'll be many legendary fighters, but there won't be another Saenchai. The man exists on an another level. 🙏
Next level for sure
what did Bruce Lee say,,,I don't hit,,,"it hits",, this is Saenchai,,he doesn't hit.. it hits,,he knows every opponents move , before they do...he's a marvel to watch...it's like magic.
I had trained alongside Saenchai at 13 Coins. Having seen the things he can do first hand, I can confidently say he is the most talented Nak Muay alive.
🔥
Lol clown farang detected
And you are...?
The GOAT hands down. Done more for Muay Thai than anyone. Always smiling and always humble he is the perfect ambassador for the sport. 🔥🔥
Maybe his retirement from Thai stadiums has more to do with how often you have to fight there?
Dude's in his 40s, recovery takes longer the older you get, he's probably just looking into not burn out to soon, and I applaud that: the longer we can see him fighting, the best
he could fight at lesser frequency if he wanted
What a great tribute! Thanks for this video mate!
His jumping kicks and jumping feints are legendary.
Never even heard of this guy but he’s freaking amazing. Thanks lot for sharing this video and introducing me to something new!
I always hope One Championship signs Saenchai before he retires. Because to see him capture their Muay Thai Belt, Kickboxing Belt, and then make a run towards their MMA belt would be a perfect end to his legendary career.
the dude is 5'4 ,and in his 40's too late
Way to late to transition to mma.
@@AfroGaz71 one championship isn’t just mma. They have kickboxing, muy thai and grappling matches. Not just mma
Saenchai drops skilled, conditioned opponents with basic moves. It takes a knowledgeable critic to point out that he's not beating bums for show, he really is that good.
-
Once I saw this great clip of a TKD guy who travelled around the middle east wiping people out. With a kickin' bassline track playing the whole clip was spinning kicks, knockouts, knockdowns, aerial stuff. Then I noticed that the short cuts were just the finishing moves, the opponents didn't seem to be either well-known or in elite shape and the subject of the clip never seemed to be in terrible danger. That's how I knew I was watching a vanity reel by a rich boy who'd gone around slapping local tough guys in a sort of clown act spectacle.
-
When you watch Saenchai, he's clearly up against some quality and in as much danger as anybody can be. He makes it look easy by being that much better in every attribute than his opponents, not because they're middle-grade, but because in some ways he transcends the field. That's one definition of genius. He wasn't invincible and that just makes it more convincing.
the greatest crowd pleasing fighter for sure, a saenchai fight is a SHOW like no other
So glad Im able to witness this legend. Inspired me to start learning striking martial arts.
He’s such an inspiration brother !
My friend, all your videos are gold. Always very exciting when you upload a video 🔥🔥
Glad you like them brother!
@@LawrenceKenshin they really are! Often they make me emotional 🙏🏼

thank you for making another great video.i have learned more about the art of 8 limbs from your videos than from any other source, and for that i thank you from the bottom of my heart.keep up the good work, best comabt chanel on yt
❤️❤️
He’s the greatest in my book.
one of them for sure
he's also trained a lot of superb fighters
One of the greatest ! Top 3 for sure...
I have never heard of him in the past 10 years since there are so many best Muay Thai fighters. But I did watch and met Baukaw in Thailand, 2010. Compared to Buakaw style Saenchai's is advanterous and dynamic, perhaps this resukted from his observations of other aports as well. Buakaw was excellent but in term of style and entertainment, Saenchai another level. I admire Buakaw until today although I regret for not having watched Saenchai in his prime. To me, both Buakaw and Saenchai are legendary and will be missed by many Muay Thai fans all over the world for many years to come.
I love all your videos. Thank you!
thanks so much!
Great video, Kenshin.
thank you brother
He’s my favorite fighter. I have fun watching he ‘play’ with his opponent. The elbow moves that changes to a kiss !
May his legend never die 🙏
i've always knew saenchai but had no deeper insights into his career, thanks for the educational content.
Thankyou for the video I’ve been wanting to see something like this for like a week or so 😁
🙏🙏
you can see he is having fun each fight, smurfing on opponents like he is playing with students at his gym... thats another lvl, true legend
With deepest respects to his opponents, Saenchai makes high-tier fighters look like beginners.
Absolutely true and it’s not disrespectful!
Great video👍🏾 Thanks I learnt something valuable
He still carries that same smile.
Fight hard and smile big. Cry when it’s over, fight again the next day 🔥
Thank you for the content 🙏✨❤️
Had the privilege to watch him fight in Koh Samui and meet him personally, he was very humble person
I was so happy to see Zhang Weili training with him. It was awesome seeing her utilize thai style leg kick defense in her fight with Joanna. Sadly she has now switched over to Cejudo's camp permanently but she seems to have found a new fight family there so I can't complain.
It worked wonders for her against Joanna, but it backfired when Namajunas faked her out and kicked her in the head in the first fight. Still, never hurts to learn some moves from Saenchai
rose learned how to kick wei li in the head with saenchai's sparring video :)

BRO, I cannot get over this move 0:31, great slow-mo highlight as per.
So dominant and technical!
Hell yeah great job mate thankyou 👍much love !! One love !!!!!
Saenchai has been to two seminars at my gym and my coach is going to have him back within the year. I will be paying any amount they ask for to train with this legend.
He's magic to watch,,, knows what's coming, before the opponent does,,, UNREAL..
Respect from Dagestan
Lawrence you're the best @ these breakdowns, enjoyed all of your videos keep it up!!
🥰🥰
He is 150-1 vs. foreign opponents but he has lost a total of 44 times according to wiki.
Yes.. to Thai opponents.
He fought the elite of the elite since 15.
Thongchai is the guy who KO’d him, was 24 at the time and already a legend known for heavy fists.
From his championship win at Lumpini at 17 he literally had to fight the best of the best (he was at the pinnacle).
So losing is natural when you fight at his weight in muay thai.
Besides this, he took many challenges such as giving up weight to THAI’S.
He was so good he had to give up weight to the elite of the elite. Lol.
His losses came from mostly bigger opponents.
@@Animefightforum I don't understand why he didn't have fights with Lerd, Buakaw, Tang etc

Much love !
Excellent and thank you.
Love your vids. Saenchai will always be the greatest fighter in my life time.
Same for me
Proof that he is legend : my two years old daughter is already capable to say his name!
When I train myself she says his name all the time.
No kidding! :D
That's a great story. Keep at it and hello from Chiang Mai Thailand
Haha that’s incredible
Great vid. Thank you
thanks so much for watching
Thank u for this video
Seriously anyone who says Saenchai fought only low tier fighters is either brain damaged or got only half of a brain.
Dude is a legend, he defeated everybody. He left no o e behind, he literally destroyed and dominated every fighter.
As a Thai, this is my conclusion
Best Agility/instinct = Lerdsila
Best Strength = Buakaw
Best Staminq/Endurance = Rodtang
Best Intelligent with Max critical atk status = Saenchai (from my observation, it looks like every atks from him is all critical)
Best defenc = really have no idea......
What about samart payakaroon
@@qasimalam2574 may be the most genius as Buakaw reacted
czcams.com/video/fV8xVhy3TiI/video.html
Buakaw endurance was also best kind .. buakaw records were corrupted by k1 judges .. or else buakaw would have 4 or 5 titles
Best of dodging : Samart Phayakarun
We often feel bitter about the things we're going to miss in the next few generations but saenchai is something from our era people in the future will wish they were around for.
great video.
LK the saenchai of striking breakdowns
hahahahaha
You've taught me so much about Saenchai, but I'm always open for more about him.
thank you for always supporting
Just proves size doesn't matter, it's the size of your heart and tenacity, GOAT.
What an entertaining beast. The kind of man that show ease yet works over time behind the scenes. This is art in its purest form
One of the GOATS.. how much does his 60-0 run have to do with it though? Greats are judged on the greats that they beat. Saenchai had a GOAT caliber career before he stopped fighting Thai champions. This final stretch is the cherry on top.
He's literally a real life Muay Thai God
Literally for sure
As Thai, we’re proud of him. And great video by the way. Keep up🤛🤜👍
High Grade Fight Inteligence , just perfect idea and perfect timing
Could you analyze karate and taekwondo fighters in mma? like Lyoto Machida and Thanh le
yes absolutely!
I know it'll never happen, but I wish a guy like this would come to the UFC or Bellator. It would just be hilarious to see someone who they have no idea about just destroy their whole division for whatever weight class he is 😅
Have there been a lot of fighters who were primarily Muay Thai fighters (as opposed to MMA guys who incorporated Muay Thai into their training) who went on to great success in MMA? There may have been a couple, but I can't think of any.
If he has no ground game, he would not destroy anything ;-)
I agree 100%, his professional work is one foot outside of a friendly spar, and he always let's his opponents decide the level of intensity, a genius of discipline.
your videos are flawless.
🙏🙏🥰
Saenchai is the GOAT. He fights international fighters because of greater publicity and pay. I wish he'd fight in the U.S. and show these folks the power of muay thai.
Too bad US doesn’t have elite competition much in striking 👍🏻
This guy is the reason we invented firearms..
Great video for the greatest fighter. Saenchai, a Master in his craft, an artist.
🙏🙏
So fun to watch!
If people can't see his greatness wow especially when it's so obvious 🙄 legend indeed
Sometimes they can’t :(
Could he have beaten Ramon Dekkers?
I love Saenchai and Buakhaw , but Ramon was something else.
I agree. And on top of it all, it's a lot of fun to watch him fight.

Two things...one ,Pipa,Lerdsila and Saenchai are the most amazing humble and incredible human beings you wouldnt know they were elite athletes and sportsmen and I am blessed to call the first 2 my friends and all 3 coaches ..( im the same age as Pipa) and secondly ..no such thing as an easy fight...I was at Yokkao when Saenchai had just had an "easy" fight and he did win at a canter but he was still nursing a busted up hand and limping.although he was still doing privates ...ok it was 8000 but my mate had travelled from Aus to have that hour with the genius and he didnt want to let him down ...love those guys
