T5 SEMI SWAMPER
In this video my mate dropped his t5 off for a few modifications, we fitted a tidy looking body kit to it and then gave it a semi raptor paint job.
The end result looks pretty darn good if I do say so 😜

I'm looking to raptor my front and back bumper, are there any issues putting everything back together? any areas you must avoid spraying the raptor to make sure it all goes back together well?
As long as you use the vari gun you shouldn't have any issues. The grills on the front and the rear reflectors may be a little tight. If you use a standard shutz gun that they sell with the kit then you'll struggle as the texture will be thicker, more akin to stone chip.

Yeah genuine raptor is around 80 pounds for a 4 bottle kit. There are some cheaper other brand versions of it though.

You'll only need one bottle then, 20 quid I think for the 1 litre kit 👍

Thanks, tbh I'm not sure, I think they were 16 inch he put on. It needed the spacers though to make them fill the arches properly. Cheers 👍
Looks great. Can I ask why you fitted the side trim and then painted it? Would it not have been easier to paint first then fit? I ask cos I want to do the same mod. Cheers
Cheers Steve, originally he only wanted a half raptor look as he was unsure if he'd like a full job. We fitted the body kit and then I raptor Ed that and his bonnet and bumpers.

6 months later he decided he wanted the full van doing but to rip all the kit off would have been a nightmare as i bonded it on with tigerseal because the 3m tape they have on them is a bit naff tbf.
Chances are if I tried pulling the kit off it would rip half the paint off too as he did have a bit of blistering due to a previous respray the van had had.
So basically it was just easier to paint it as it is 😁👍
@@JunglesTravels ah that makes sense, but I'm guessing if you'd had the option you would have painted them first, then fitted, does the trim flexing as you fit create any problems if you've raptor'd them first?
Tbh I did wonder how hard it would set when I first did it and it's actually been fine.
And yeah if he'd gone for a full Raptor to start with I'd of painted the kit separately and then bonded it.

No but his plan is to make a replica, he does body kits etc for a living so he's got all the moulds to build one.

If it was genuine it'd be a big cheque lol, that said the replicas are fetching strong money too.
