To tell the truth, the terrorists are the foot soldiers of the imperialists. Terror grows with foreign military presence. Not just a coincidence at least in the case of French bases. There is an abundance of evidence to support it. Ask the government of Mali!!

The purpose of these neo colonialist foreign troops on African soil is not to fight the jihadists whom they created, but to ensure a coup is carried out if any African leader went against the interest of the neo colonialists. France nd America had military bases in Niger for over 20 years yet these terrorists grew in size within this period nd almost took over the entire country.

Can a foreign country ask to put their military on American soil. African nations are ridding themselves of subversive foreign presence in their sovereign nations because it comes with dire liabilities. This is not the first time that the French and Americans asked to have military bases in Nigeria, each time, the requests have been rejected. Today's Nigeria is NOT the Nigeria I used to know in the mid 70's when Nigeria was really the Giant of Africa. In those years, when Nigeria spoke, France, Britain, and America trembled. Nigeria fought diplomatically for the decolonization of Africa and the end of apartheid in southern Africa, thus earning the position of a "Frontline State" even though located in West Africa. Those were the glorious years of Nigeria's foreign policy.

Besides, it's not just for sovereignty but the often ignored role of those military bases ensuring the hegemons' companies stealing our resources unchecked. So, in that respect Nigeria actually deserves credit for even surviving thus far.

By the way , what about a Nigerian military base in America to help fight criminal activities on American soil? That would be the correct diplomatic approach. No more paternalism in Africa. Africa has the means and wisdom to deal with terrorism.

I Don't Agree with the issue of the Rule of Law on NSA, The moment you cede your Sovereignty that's the end of your Rule of Law, it becomes what US says it is as at any particular time.
