It sounds to me that Stephanie didn't know but she had a hunch and when she found out it was true because of the NDA she disowned Vince. This was the last straw for him in her eyes. As someone who works in a corporate office and knows of a relationship between someone very high-ranking and someone getting paid a higher salary than mine while not having physically worked here in years… Just because people know of relationships in the office doesn’t always mean they know exact details of the relationship. There will be a lot of innocent bystanders in this getting called out for why they didn’t speak up when in reality they probably just believed it to be consensual and that’s it.
But… there are definitely ppl who knew the details in this case. They should absolutely have to answer for that when the time comes.

This is such a horrible story, and I don't know what to think of all these people who were in positions of power in WWE - whether all of them knew all of the gory details or not. The story of Vince being a depraved prick have been around for a long time, but for people like Stephanie and HHH - who were in the WWE bubble, not to mention likely a family bubble - who knows what they knew, or whether they believed it. I don't want to sound like I'm defending them, because as Solomonster says, it's hard to imagine they didn't know at all. I guess I'm wondering when it is that they found out how bad it really has been. Was it long ago, and they just looked the other way all this time until their hand was forced? Or, did they start to find out in dribs and drabs over the last few years just how awful Vince is, with the coup de grâce being the revealations around the NDAs and hush payments? They voted to keep him out, and Stephanie resigned when Vince forced his way back into WWE. Maybe all of that was simply a cynical attempt to protect themselves from scrutiny, or maybe it's because they were horrified by the full truth of what Vince is. As Solomonster said, we won't know the truth unless they're asked bout it under oath. I hope that happens.
