Planet Hollywood Observatory on its first official day of re-opening in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World. For everything Disney, visit www.InsideTheMagic.net for more
I can see they wanted to make everything look "fresh" and "clean" but I honestly miss the old look it had before the refurbishment. It was so fun to go there and explore all the props. They absolutely don't have as much now. Im sure many people will like this look and style, but I believe that most people that have been to the old wont like the new as much. Thanks for the video!
It looks like a very nice venue, but it just doesn't feel like an "experience" the way the old Planet Hollywood did. I might still give it a try, though.
I don't remember how many "old" ones there are, but, I do remember one with tons of windows with a view towards the giant ball thing and all that. The food was good. Classic memory for me when I was young.
No fair! They took out so much Hollywood stuff from it! Especially Herbie! I WANNA SEE HERBIE!!! I was at Disney Springs last year and wanted to go eat at Planet Hollywood as I never got the chance the first time I was there (2010), but it was CLOSED and being remodeled! :( And now they had to turn it into THIS! I really missed out on a lot! :(
I helped do the remodel on this building and it was disgusting, including mold on the interior walls of the kitchen that were never taken care of, but only covered up.
Inside the Magic Cool. Nice touch. If they had film clips playing I dont know if it would fit with the new atmosphere so Im glad that it fits but is still related.
OH NO!!! They took all the interesting features away in the dome ceiling. We loved it before only because it had so many fun things to look at in the Dome ceiling, like the flying Ship in space. WOW it’s just a white boring ceiling now with movie screens. Reminds me of a sports bar. We won’t be back there. Thumbs down Planet Hollywood. Glad I watched this video before we made reservations, It’s an easy decision where we will eat dinner now. T-Rex here we come. What fun is Disney without lots of detail atmosphere.
I agree looks completely boring now... I thought when they named it the observatory it would have something to do with like the stars or planets in the ceiling Dome area
really sad that they changed it so much, Me and my husband went in 2011 and it was the coolest restaurant, now it looks to plain, especially for somewhere with Disney's name on it
This looks unfathomably boring compared to the old Planet Hollywood. The old one was crazy and unique. The way props and other memorabilia absolutely littered the place from wall to wall, things hanging from the ceiling. There was always something cool to look at, ESPECIALLY for a movie lover like myself. The old Planet Hollywood lived up to its title, this new place is honestly such a downgrade that it frustrates me. I remember going there as a kid and even before I had walked into the building I was admiring the props and vehicles on display outside. But when I went in... holy fuck it was just amazing. They had such an incredible atmosphere based on an overwhelming adoration of cinema. Now its just another boring restaurant with some costumes and a big projector screen. And Guy Fieri. RIP Planet Hollywood (Seriously, if you didn't go to the old one, look up some photos or youtube videos, it was a real spectacle)
I've been to the original Planet Hollywood dozens of times. Loved eating up on the 2nd or 3rd floor, all the stuff around and hanging from the ceiling. The artists renderings of the Observatory looked good, but now that it is open, it looks more bland and generic, like a sports bar with music video playing, not as much movie memorabilia.

We were there before it was refurbished - really liked the interior of the old place better but that is a beautiful view from the terrace!!
Not enough movie memorabilia on display..I loved the old planet Hollywood,it was unique . this now looks like any other generic restaurant..

We used to go often. Can't wait to see the updates in person...thank you for the preview!

it looks fantastic!
We were wondering what this was on our past trip!
I helped do the remodel on this building and it was disgusting, including mold on the interior walls of the kitchen that were never taken care of, but only covered up.
Why do they have music videos playing on the wall? Why not something related to movies?
All of the videos playing are from soundtracks to movies. :)

graphicsforever2 i agree the old one looked much better, the only thing that is nicer is the outside
=( are they actually keeping the outside of it grey? it looks awful
Dankrupt looks cool to me.
Wait is planet Hollywood basically a movie themed restraint in a big dome
looks a bit blah, but will def. give it a shot!

Jarred Braga I totally agree with you.

Doesnt look at good as it used to in my opinion especially the outside.
It's so different.... I've only been once, but now it looks dull.... Lol
I can tell just by this video that i would be disappointed.....having seen the original i can't see wasting time here.
At every there once, probably the worse place I've ever eaten...
