I am dealing with a collection agency as we speak and they want payment in full and or $200 a month, neither one I can't afford. I went in to pay $30 and they refused it. also they failed to notify me of my right to dispute and obtain verification of my debts. Idk what to do. I think they using scare tactics and so I may go back down there and give them $30 and ask for receipt. any suggestions?
+i am the future They do accept my payment of $30 every month. However, they tell me it's not enough. One day after I turned in a financial papers of my bills and all that, I'm told they don't need an agreement with me and they'll accept any kind of payment. I went in today and made $30 payment and they told me they need to get their money faster and they told me that they are to take the next step to get their money faster. I told them to do what they have to do. When they accept my payment of $30 the give me a receipt and on the receipt is a stamp that reads "This is not a payment agreement". Technically I believe it is a payment agreement if they accept my payment. I have been saving my receipts as well. I have also contacted the Federal Trade Commission twice and they have been no help. I have rights and they are not helping. I'm about to pull my hair out......ugh

if you have offered payment and they refuse you payment,then by law the debt is paid and only offer £1 or 1 doller.
