Hello cool video :D We are planing on doing a part of the hike gr5 sadly the weahter is quitte bad at the moment thats why we thought doing the hike from nice to chamonix or at least a part of it would you say thats also cool to do it this way arround and is it a nice part from nice or is it better a bit more north. 😊
Hey Jana, heading North from Nice works well, even better from Menton to make the most of the Mercantour Park which is beautiful. The hike is varied and pretty in every section, you can't go wrong
not at all the only situations when we didn't wild camp were when we chose to spend a night in the campgrounds in the valley/villages, and for 4-5 night in Vanoise park where we are obliged to camp within a certain perimeter of refuges.
On peut camper sauvagement sur quasiment tout le GR5, si je me souviens bien il n'y a que dans le Parc de la Vanoise ou l'on doit camper proche des refuges

Je dis à ces jeunes américains de venir en France pour y respirer l’air plutôt que d’importer leurs affects. Je vous suggère de lire Gaston Rébuffat cela sera pour vous une vraie découverte grâce à cet amoureux de la montagne.

How didyou plan? How much days of food did you Bring. How many stores did you find, and how many days till you normaly find a store
The GR5 passes through villages regularly so you can get away with only 2-3 days of food in your pack

@@Toomangoyah dans le sac a dos! ca protege mieux des renards qui occasionnellement n'hesitent pas rentrer/dechirer la tente...
