Then, all you can hear is Inkopolis being destroyed and flooded in enemy ink along with the screamings of those from your same species. After some minutes of running, you don't know where, trying to survive, you hear this song as your legs stop working, and everything fading into black.

I literally screamed "NOOOO!!" when I failed. I almost cried. I think it's because of the music it plays after you fail to save inkopolis. *Depressing*
The Professor would not have been happy if he got to see what his Ai ended up doing.
For the people who don't know anything about splatoon lore, this is as dark as it gets, mostly, I mean, WW3 happens too but this is brutal. The lore implication of this is crazy. There was a human professor. He owned Judd as his pet cat and kept him in a cryogenic chamber to provide "The warmth of life" to the next intelligent creatures (lil' Judd is a back up clone the professor created) This professor also created Tartar as an AI holding all of humanity's knowledge to pass it on so the next intelligent creatures would not make the same mistakes as humans. Tartar gained sentience though, and went insane after being left alone for thousands of years. This is why he thought the inklings and octolings were unworthy of life. This means the professor, in his attempt to help the next intelligent species, almost killed all of them. The message that Tartar was meant to pass on was not have conflict (which all the creatures in splatoon have a lot of in the lore so..) but in the end he "killed" (sanitized) thousand's of octarians and almost thousands of others were killed. TLDR: Man almost kills thousands of intelligent sea creatures with a phone.

Well, the Coccyx Phase theme is the musical equivalent of a heart attack, the blender theme is getting gassed in the Nazi extermination camps (note Tartar's similarities to Hitler in motives), and the distorted version of Tartar's theme that plays when they reveal their identity as Commander Tartar in the NILS statue sounds apocalyptic. And #19 bless, which plays in the thang stations, sounds heavenly, but also creepy, making people think that there would be a surprise boss, but it actually was hinting that the thangs would be used to kill you after their assembly. There's also the soundtracks that give the feeling of amnesia and unconsciousness, like #0 shell (which plays during Octoling customization and when choosing a weapon for a test) and #12 awake, where the name in tandem with the song's sleepy feeling give the feeling of starting to wake up from being unconscious. In fact, Inkipedia says that the name "awake" has to do with when Agent woke up in the Deepsea Metro with no memory.

This was Color Pulse. I think somewhere in the octo expansion or main game it says they had a splatfest during Tartar's world-ending. Marina and Pearl abandoned their post for an emergency and with Daddy's money, flew many helicopters to find agent 8 and Cap, but forgot to turn off the music. Either Tartar's goo destroyed the speakers or this is actually the emergency alarm. Maybe the president or someone thought this song was so good and played so much that they should play it as the emergency alarm. Whatever it was, Color pulse was probably the world's last song, or at least the last song for Inklings and Octolings. Maybe the Calimari Inktation is so powerful that when Tartar killed everyone, the music magically transferred Agent 8's soul into another reality.
There is definitely not a president because for some reason absolutely no cops or authorities found out about the massacre (or maybe they just have really fucked up morals)
