There’s something so comforting about Duncan trussels voice.
raspy lesbian voice. his words not mine lol
I like the way he molested my cerebellum.

@@rickiej59 constantly.
@@dannyhengel7645 I absolutely love his voice all though it does remind me of someone's first word's after a solid throat punch; or an 96 year old lady that smokes sea urchins.
These two need to do a pod together again
Yeh I was just looking for another one but there aren't any 🙁
omg.... this may hav been the best one for me... hilarious deep dive into our human condition
Hell yeah idk why the took Duncans episodes off the JRE on Spotify dude is cool as hell
Do it theo

Duncan is one of my favorite human beings... when I hear him express these evils of modern society that I experience everyday, it puts me at ease.. it's just nice knowing that there are intelligent people out there that sympathize with those of us that have to work through this fucking shit system silently and in a great deal of pain. Duncan just lightens my soul a bit, when it's feeling heavy and weighed down. I still need a hug, but this'll do for now.
beautifully said...virtual hugs to everyone out there, hang in there guys!! Life is a beautiful struggle💚💚
Plus, if we’re reading these comments- something awesome happened.
We survived a fucking pandemic.

Well thankfully he started to see the truth. He used to be just as bad of a leftist as anyone
Theo: Don’t take away my truckers man.

Gang gang. You know.
at 70 years old I really enjoyed the realness of this conversation!!!!
This was one of the most beautiful perfect conversations I've ever heard.
It was good ..Trussells seem really content with him self and the way he lives
When Duncan asked Theo, "Where do your feelings show up, in your body?" and he said in my chest and in my tear ducts. Theo, SAY I DON'T KNOW MAN !! Damn that was funny

Ive been telling him this for so long!!!

Do it!
YES. Many of us agree with you, brother.
I love watching Theo work through his ideas and realizations with us. We get to see him organically establish how he is feeling about himself, his life, and the world as he sees it. It's pretty cool. Thanks Theo.
I would also like to say long live Duncan Trussel the Great. Brilliant beacon in the fog.
Well said
“Do you tend to your brain weeds?” -Duncan
Theo is the perfect example of how every stage of growth is beautiful no matter what level you’re at.
I LOVE the way Duncan Trussell's mind works, and how easy it is for him to eloquently express himself!
That's what acid and mushrooms do, they dissolve all you're hang ups and allow you're mind to cross pollinate.
@Ashley Stokes - Though the latter part may prove most useful
He makes it fun. He takes an assumption and paints a picture. Beautiful.
He reads a lot. Reading helps your speach ALOT
Ashley Stokes I also enjoy Duncan’s mind and his ability to express things. Discovered Duncan and Theo from the Joe Rogan podcasts and I’m glad I did. There are some wonderful ideas being shared, great conversations being had.
We need this regularly. Once a month at least. Theo and Duncan have crazy good chemistry in the weirdest and best kind of way. They seem to understand each other even though this is the first conversation they have had.
Duncan has chemistry with everyone but I agree XD
The coolest spiritual guy vs. the analogy champ. God damn I'll have to watch this again.
Wowwww two of the greatest and weirdest minds in comedy love it

Dan Rockwell agreed, this podcast and the Peterson podcasts are absolute multiple listens for me. It's a unique format and setup.
Who’s here after “Midnight Gospel” on Netflix
Oh man, how personal yet so universal! Duncan is the next step of evolution! Midnight gospel is the best trip I ever had!
I'm here before the after.
Duncan Trussell is a god amongst men. Truly, an enlightened individual and also one of the funniest dudes I've ever had the pleasure seeing.
@TheDalaiLamasGlasses ♥
I am usually 99 percent into anime. My daughter said watch this midnight gospel its right up your alley but American. So I did. And now I've been watching duncan and he's opened me up to whole new worlds.
20:32 omfg... “I had to create all my feelings, if I loved you I had to decide I loved you” this just opened up so much in my mind... I’ve been trying to pinpoint why I don’t feel really connected to anyone in life and why I don’t think I can actually love, it’s because of that exact reason. Wow..... wowowowowowowowowo
I've recently realized this too.
@@jfkdidntlos791 I think we all need to look at our childhood, mother ourselves. Look into different attachment styles. Join some Reddit groups. Get therapy. It’ll all make sense in time I guess ❤️
@@d_chatz8353 As soon as he said it, it caught my attention. I had been telling ppl this and often they couldn't understand and I just want to learn how that stops... So many times I have trouble listening to people, genuinely connections, crying when loved ones pass... It's cery isolating and to hear him say that makes me feel less alone, hopeful because I know there's a way out, but confused because I dont what it is.
I really struggle with this too, I have zero empathy and equate my feeling for people to their value to me based on things like loyalty, reliability is a big one, maybe some other things, but I certainly don't feel love for anyone by any definition I've heard from others. I feel so bad for my gf sometimes, she genuinely cares how I feel or if I'm feeling any kind of discomfort, although I've forced myself to pay attention to her feelings and act accordingly it certainly wasn't natural. Sometimes I wonder if I'm a socio/psycho-path.
I was actually thinking that very same thing reading this...i had a bf who was schizoid and he was a lot like this too. But yeah, sociopathy would involve some pretty dark traits too.
I can already say that this is the best podcast I've ever seen. I've been in a major depression and this just showed me some light at the end of the neverending tunnel.
totally relate...stay up friend, life is a beautiful struggle- it WILL get better 💚✌🏽💚

2 years late to the party. Still, hit em wit the gang gang ✌🤙👍👌
oh theo in some ways he is such a sweet summer child, and in others he's the oldest man the winter has ever known
Why is this so accurate 😂
I had an awful day at work today, I'm a travel nurse and been away from my family for 5 days in a different town delivering babies. I have one more to go before I get to go home and see my family. I was feeling stressed, anxious, exhausted and unloved. Theo and Duncan, watching your two beautiful souls interact made me feel loved and and part of something beautiful once again and I'm crying right now as I type this. I just wanted to thank you both for sharing this. Duncan has been my long time favorite Podcaster and I've just been getting into Theo this past year. This hit just right.
And Theo, we saw you in Nashville at Zanies not too long ago and you had us laughing so hard we were crying. We were sitting to the left against the wall not too far from the stage. Thank you both for bringing so much joy to my life ♡ gang gang
The stars have aligned.. Can't believe it's you guys' first conversation. Y'all are kindred spirits. Very cerebral hit, bois.

Because I don't film it yet. One day!
Please, brother. We wanna see more of that wizard beard.

" its like being in a car... And you realize it doesn't just matter where you're going... It matters where we are all going. "

Was genius.
These are two of the funniest yet humble and down to earth comedians in the podcast scene. There are other funny people but too many big egos, these two genuinely seem like good and nice people
Theo is Duncan's Tyler Durden.

This was like an hour and a half of the voices in my head when im bored at work except one voice is coming out of a beard and the other is coming out of the most glorious mullet.
4 years too late, but what an interestion, enlightening, life-affirming conversation. And somehow still hilarious. Please reconvene soon guys
That continuous use/reintegration of the man in the fire pit bit throughout the cast was absolutely hilarious.
Duncan Trussell looks like the long lost brother of Dan Bilzerian that got dropped in some psychedelic barrell when he was a kid
Like Obelix but instead in a barrel of acid and shrooms
MN MMAJJ hahahahaha
MN MMAJJ dude ill never unsee the similarity now and im kind of upset

I think he looks like the Unabomber's homeless nephew.
Thank you for this! I was having the worst night and woke up anxious and dreading everything. Now I'm laughing and seeing things from a new perspective. I love Duncan so much. He's such a beautiful and hilarious soul.
Janna Nicole listen to Duncan's podcast!!
Lindsey I do sometimes! He's great!
Same. Daily. Thank God for both of them.
I kept looking at how far the video had before it ended. Bc I didn’t want it to end! I love Duncan, and I love Theo! Please have Duncan on again. I love this podcast! How ironic it is, that I was listening to this while working my shitty job. These pod casts allow me to escape from my reality in a sense!
You got your wish x2
Theos childlike curiosity and duncans philosophical wit creates a beautiful conversion
"What are we going to do with all the Lot Lizards?" - Duncan Trussell. The single most important issue of our recent time.
I love Theo's description "recently curious and totally amazed."
This episode right here is one of the best podcasts ever. One of the most important and compelling discussions on CZcams. Thank you for recording and posting this.
Thank you JRE for bringing these two into my life! What a great convo!
Duncan just described every high and low paying job I’ve ever held. The feeling of guilt for only having two hours of work to do in a nine hour workday turned me to an alcoholic.
Now I’m five years sober though. Break the cycle, crush the system.
I've never felt guilty for a corporation not planning shit correctly, why should you? Do your duty, get paid, no need to be guilty. That's literally the owner's responsibility. But I respect you for noticing you dislike it and making a positive change.
CaptainLog or self centeredness and fear
DUNCAN! I like your selection of guests so far Theo, keep it up.
Greeeeat show Gentlemen! I'm a new listener and this old one popped up. I'm proud of you Theo. I see you working on yourself and doing that hard inner work. Keep growing Brother. Gang Gang!
This podcast came out five years ago. I needed this today more than the weed I thought I needed to cope. Thanks, Theo. Thank you, Duncan.

I love Theo's choice of guests. Keep at it man, live from the UK.
I don’t know who is gonna read this but Theo and Duncan having a deep conversation is incredibly nice to hear.
Duncan, you’re an incredibly deep thinker but speak it so relatable that it’s simple. I appreciate your perspectives on a wide variety of topics
Theo. You’re a great interviewer. I like you’re capabilities to adapt to any guest. Like minds of Duncan. You choose some deep questions because you know he’s got great insight. You’re a dope light

Love you've shared your growth with us. Helps some of us feel like we're going through this together. ❤️
Theo has become my favorite podcaster/comedian in a very short period of time. Dude’s a straight boss! Also spreading a lot of positivity and a good message. . Keep it up Theo
On the topic of the most essential jobs being paid the least, I worked as a 911 paramedic in Orlando and made about $12/hour. The last month or so I've been at a job in a hospital where I push patients around in their beds all day and make closer to $20/hour. Granted, I worked for a private ambulance company, it would've been a little better in a fire department, but trained and certified EMTs starting at 9 bucks an hour is criminal. I know full-time EMTs who responded to the Pulse shooting who are on food stamps. But we stay in the job because we are passionate people, and proud of what we do, so we get taken advantage of and work 60-80 hour weeks to make ends meet because we are exempt from all kinds of labor laws as emergency workers. The longest shift I did was 96 hours in a row, catching naps here and there between calls. A good buddy quit to go work at a 7/11 and said he got paid better and treated better by the management.
@Madji Of Cimmeria seems logical, actually. Big Healthcare keeps EMT pay low to encourage people to get jobs at bars in order to feed people booze that ends up in a trip to the hospital. The EMT is a pawn to shuffle more customers into the hospital, customers who came from alcohol use...
Nah, I'm just on a conspiracy kick thank to Bill Burr.
In all seriousness EMTs and firefighters are grossly underpaid. Nurses too.
9.00? I was making that as the AV geek, technically an employee of the state in college 1986. Plus it supports my conspiracy theory. I'll type it in below. If you feel like reading it, could you weigh in with a score ranging from 0 = "Nah..." and 10 - "You nailed it."
Here goes: In some cities, the city EMTs respond to calls but they call a private ambulance service for transport if someone needs to go to the hospital. Those private companies bill $2000 for a two-mile ride, with no equipment hooked up for monitoring or IVs started or anything like that. The private company pays a flat fee to the city for the right to do as many transports as they can manage, and bill whatever they can. To summarize: the EMTs decide, the private firm profits.
That strikes me as a set-up for a system in which EMTs request transports unnecessarily because the private company rewards them with some of the cash that eventually rolls in from Medicare or from the transported person's bank account i.e., the old kickie-bickie. Does that happen IRL?
Public unions EMTs make bank.
Yep. Here in California min wage is $11 an hour. I got my associates degree last year in addiction studies and I became a drug and alcohol counselor for teens. They started me out at $13 an hour. They said after 2 years you would become certified and then be able to make $15 an hour. And it doesn't get much better. It was a 42 unit program, I graduated with 70 units instead of 60. I quit after 4 months and went back to my state custodial job making $22. That field and many others like it make no sense to go to college for. Unless you're 70 and retired and really want to help people....or you still live at home with your parents and have no kids or debt you can do it. Otherwise, it's not doable as a career. It's too expensive to be altruistic in your career
@@derekfletcher8934 firefighters are underpaid? 120k a year?

'Lord of the Fries' was just as good. 😂
Great name
Just super grateful that these conversations are out there.
the second conversation they shared on TPW truly lifted me from a dark place. From hearing a conversation between two people who were honest with each other and willing to be vulnerable and just said things that I didn’t even know I needed to hear. Super grateful 🤘🏻
So nice too hear from some unique and positive minds. Definitely beats the negative sickly mindset I’m exposed to all day at work.
Duncan needs to be a regular. He fits in perfectly. 👌

This was like watching past conversations I have had during an acid trip and forgotten. Beautiful to be reminded of multiple people opening up their minds together to higher point of views, and forever changing the way they perceive reality and the realization that everything including reality is objective.

i dont really see the point you are trying to make with this comment.
Let his name speak for itself.
This was a really great convo! I agree with much much of it! Thanks guys! Much love from Toronto!
This made my day just so much brighter. Thanks guys 😊
I want Duncan as my dad.
He'd be a badass uncle too bruh, the type of uncle you'd hang out with on the regular
Amazing episode. You guys really seem to click in a way where you make each other better together than either alone, at least in terms of having this type of thoughtful, collaborative discussion. Theo, you crushed it with this one, man. I haven't been along for the ride very long, having started only pretty recently to follow this show and your comedy in general, but I just wanted to say how much I admire the way you approach these conversations. You really engage with your guests and show a level of care and interest for what they have to say/think, and you seem quite naturally moved by an earnestness and humility that comes along all too rarely in life for many. I had a sense that Duncan was really vibe-ing this as well, as he seemed more at-ease and self-assured than he otherwise might engaging with someone who can't or won't get on the level and get into some real human shit.
Anyways thanks for doing what you do. Keep it up. I'll keep tuning in.
absolutely love this episode. AGAIN PLEASE!
Awesome convo! Loved it!
Thank you
The coincidences between Theo's podcast and my life never end. Just the day this was published, I was on a road trip and the song "No Scrubs" came on my friend's player and we were talking about it. It's quite dated now, lyrically.
Holy shit! 2 of my favorite people in 1 podcast.. I am in tears rn. Thank you!
Theo just blows Duncans mind with that Buffet/Orwell combo .. haha & inside DC Trussel is thinking "impressive, most impressive"
I'm here for this with you guys. I'm on this level - love this episode
