It's because they've been friends since like the early 2000s, so Ari actually knows Joe on a personal level, not just as a podcast guest. They're actual friends, which is why Ari doesn't get that intimidation/yes-man attitude from Joe that a lot of his single-serving guests have.
When Ari isnt going for the joke and he's just having a real conversation, he's pretty intelligent and honest. Very funny special btw.

After watching Theo for several years, Ive finally realized that Theo is one of the only natural antidepressants of my life. Im not into that hippy shit about auras, cosmic signs or whatever, but he can literally change your entire mood. 😂
