    This is my main mower for me this year. I’m doing about 27 yards a week with it right now, solo. I’ve got about 50 hours in it now. When it’s working, it’s been really great for me. It’s really compact and really maneuverable, while being light that it allows for a big margin of error on turns before you damage grass. I have mostly small residential yards and I can zip through them quickly. But it has had a host of problems already.
    1st: I’ve found all the wiring connections on the front of the mower, are very exposed. Everything gets dirty, and as a result, I’ve already had the connection to the blade engage/rider platform switch get clogged with grass and as a result engaging the blades would turn off the mower. Until I cleaned it. Since, ive wrapped up every wiring connection I can up with electrical tape for extra protection.
    2: within the first 3 hours of use, the tensioner spring for drive belt snapped. Put on a replacement that has lasted 50 hours now, but my dealer still has not gotten a spare tensioner spring I ordered in stock for me. I ordered it 2 months ago now, which is concerning.
    3: The really thin front padding that you lean on has already caused my knees to become tender.
    4. Oil changes are more difficult than they should be on this mower.
    5. There’s two small fuses located underneath the top panel, just hanging exposed, and through bumping around some yards, a blue colored fuse kept popping loose, causing the mower to shut off. It’s been fixed with the addition of a zip tie.
    I like it a lot, but as my main mower, it’s been making me nervous lol.

    I really considered this mower at first. But unfortunately I went with another 36 inch model. The surfer pro simply isn’t commercial enough. It’s fine for a homeowner or a couple of backyards. But everything other than the motor screams cheap.

      Thanks for commenting! I tend to agree. The surfer pro should residential grade, although the mower is actually pretty well built for its compact size.

    Excellent update and review on it. This mower would do me well too. As I mow a lot of small lawns. Ready to see the full update on it soon.

      Thanks for commenting! This mower is a game changer for small yards. I should have another update in the next 2 weeks. Possibly sooner.

    Handles it like a pro. Vicky wants a stander. This might be the one. Awesome video. Thanks for showing it. When it comes time to pick one, this is the video I guarantee I go back to for a decision

    Looks like it's taking the tall stuff pretty good Bill the cut looks clean over those Butter cups. I'm seeing the mower pop up on YT more often now.

      So far, the mower has preformed very well. I have only mowed with it a few times I have to omit it’s impressive to ride on. I believe this mower will be very popular over the next year or so.

    How’s the back wheels doing Bill? That would be my only concern other than that looks like a great replacement for push mowing 💪🏼💯

      Even though the back wheels are somewhat narrow, haven’t had any rutting issues as of yet. This mower is a game changer over push mowing.

    does it leave ruts

    • @BillyGoatLawnService
      @BillyGoatLawnService  Před 10 měsíci

      Surprisingly it doesn’t leave ruts but it will easily tear up the grass if you turn to sharp. Also doesn’t hold hills well, tires don’t grip on slopes, especially on zoysia turf.

  • @ratlifffamilylawns8104

    Looks like it cuts good 👍

      So far impressed with cut quality but it’s been so dry with no rain. The big test is when crabgrass kicks in.

    • @BillyGoatLawnService

      The Surfer Pro is definitely a nice little standon mower but the timemaster still has the best cut quality for single pass.

    Man I love mine, I’m just still trying to figure out the operator present safety switch, it tries to cut off on any slight incline and I have to stand with my heels hanging off the back to get it to stay running.

      @alexswartz5492 Před rokem +1

      I’ve had a few similar problems. Take it back to the dealer and have them fix that. That’s not right. If you wanted to mess with it yourself. It’s the two bolts on the right right above the rider platform. I think they just readjusted mine.

    • @tonyslawncare
