I Got a Visit from the ATF

- I had a recent audit from the ATF. I believe this was a routine compliance inspection and I do not believe it to be politically motivated. I mentioned it was coming up in a recent video and many of you checked on me yesterday. Thank you. That said, I have some interesting things to talk about from the ATF visit and I thought I would share them with you and assure you that rumors of my demise are greatly exaggerated...I some of you were hopeful.

I realize that I made a mistake in this video: As of today, there are:
6,058,390 NFA items. I was off by an order of magnitude. However, the point I made in the video is still valid.
I have edited this part of the video but it will take some time to work through the processing.
The unconstitutional powers executed by agencies such as the ATF happen because "We the People" abdicated our Duty long ago. The pro-2nd community is particularly guilty in that they keep focusing on the "individual rights theory" rather than the Duty "to execute the Laws of the Union" as REQUIRED by the Constitution. Theory is just that, it has no force of law, and we refuse to employ our powers through both the U.S. Constitution and state laws.
I've been at this a long time. If you explain this to pro-2nd people they run screaming, spouting off nonsense that they have not studied. Go read the work of Dr. Edwin Vieira, Jr., A.M., A.B., Ph. D., JD. Today, he is the foremost authority on the Right and the Duty to keep and bear arms.
Actually Curt it's your dog we were worried about. We figured you would be fine, but they have a tendency to get trigger happy around our four legged friends.
Are you required to have itar registration?
Hey Buckeye!! You live anywhere near Montgomery or Auglaize county?
6 million NFA items, and these are not considered "common use" yet? NFA has got to go. Other thing... what age do you need to be for a hunting license? Deer, moose, turkey, elk, etc tags? If you're old enough to hunt and buy a ticket, you're old enough to purchase a rifle/pistol. 3-oh-hate pistols exist now... just saying.
Glad you're ok though. Keep up the good work.
"The government is never good at anything" truer words have never been spoken!
I ruined the perfect 69 Likes Muwhahahahahah
I respectfully disagree.
The government has MASTERED the art of MAKING ANY AND EVERYTHING, WORSE.

Retaliatory audit? Shocking.
At least it's not a search warrant being served at 6am. I'm sure they considered it a option.depending on how bad the PR.
I have no dogs, yet google felt it appropriate to place an ad for a heavy duty dog collar just below this video about an ATF visit 😂

@@splashmonster18 I'm guessing google keeps an eye on frequent terms used in the comments sections.
We do like our ATF jokes after all.
Would be the only way I can guess that they think "ATF" has any correlation with "Dog"
Having a dog is a good idea. Prewarning for the raid
Dealing with the ATF/E is a pain in the A55. I was working for a guy who was building a bunker to hold detonators and explosives. The ATF wouldn’t tell us how to build it but they would tell you after you built it that it wasn’t right. They also wouldn’t clearly tell you what wasn’t right.
Sounds absolutely correct from the government entities! Each and every one of the alphabet agencies work at a snails pace and with the utmost incompetence!
That’s lawsuit material right there to me and I would think perfect for senate committee on ATF accountability. Odds are they know exactly what the standard is. Just do not want to green light as much as possible.
I'm a licensed Blaster, and I have pubs regarding exactly this. Hmu if you or your buddy need info. I can send scans that give specs for explosives magazines.
@@araragikoyomi99 appreciate it, that job 1,200 miles away and 10 plus years is long gone.
When my father was in the army, for many years, he had a picture in his office. Understand this is back in the 70s. The picture was of a guy sitting on the toilet and the caption read the job is not finished until the paperwork is done.
Defund the ATF and absolute the NFA 💸
Despicable ATF!
Here's my problem or laughing point with audits...
WE the People being audited by 3 letter agancies who NEVER pass their own internal audits.
Reminds me of that saying.... "Let he who is without sin throw the first stone".
Good thing there's a separation of church and state! But yeah, I get you. I've been bitching about the TSA and their failure of nearly EVERY DHS audit/pen test for forever now.
@@araragikoyomi99 Well, that separation of church and state was always intended to be a one way street only.... Government being blocked from the subject entirely, but the citizens free to use it in any way they wish, including electing a pastor or priest and having thier views affect law.
The separation was always, only intended to prevent what happened in England coming to the USA... Short version....The king siding with a church and forcing that religion on everyone. OR, as you see with this Pope.... religion following politics to push an agenda.
It's like how the IRS recommends doing returns online because it's faster, but then your return gets hacked and you refund gets sent to a fake bank across the country. So then you only prepare old fashioned paper returns to avoid being hacked, but the IRS then punishes you for not doing your return online, and delays processing your paper return for one year.
I haven't heard of online IRS tax submissions being hacked, but anything online can be hacked. Nothing is truly secure online. That being said, use a VPN when working on your taxes and it should be secure when submitting it.
@@Uberragen21Well you heard it from me first, and I'm not lying. I did my friend taxes online using a well known website, Someone hacked the website, and changed the bank info after it was submitted. My friends refund was set to a fake bank on the other side of the country. The investigation can take up to 6 months, and I still don't know if the IRS resolved it for him. I've also never seen anything like it before it happened to me, so now I do important taxes with old fashioned paper return only.
Or 3 years as was a recent case.
I personally know of three people that had their tax refund stolen just this year. All of them were using a free to file tax software found on credit karma or something! I personally have no idea what it is! My wife and I contact the three credit bureaus and request a free copy of our credit reports annually! So what are VPN and how do I use it? I'm not very tech savvy with computer/smartphone stuff etc. Have a blessed day y'all!!
Do you have a source on that? It's easier to "hack" and file a fraudulent return with a paper return than it is online. If I know your social, I can mail a fraudulent return in and get the refund sent to a fake bank account. It's easier to pop open a mailbox and steal an envelope too. Then just swap bank account info and mail.
Here is some FFL fun. Sometimes a specific inspector will demand you do something in a particular way or they will can your license. Then if a different inspector ever takes over your license, they can then take the thing the last one demanded you do and count that as an infraction and can your license. Fun fun.
that's fkd up😊
Sounds like an angle to sue them over
Glad to hear you are still permitted to exercise your Constitutional Rights. Thanks govt for "protecting" the Rights they took an oath to protect.
They actively seek to undermine those rights, because our government is no longer about protecting the rights of the people, but about amassing more power over them
The Federal Agencies aren’t ’the government”, they are Mercenaries hired by the Political and Judicial institutions for the express purpose of Infringing upon our Rights where they otherwise have no Rightful Authority to do so…
It’s federally prohibited for the government to have a searchable registry of American citizens firearms.
You think the constitution stops them?
They don’t recognize the constitution and their boss, Joe Biden doesn’t either.
They have already gotten around that. They LITERALLY say on their website they have that database. They have one for "weapons used in crimes", and then they have any time an FFL closes, or is shut down, they can then "take" the data. Makes you wonder why their "zero tolerance" policy wasnt meant to just expand their database.
all gun laws are infringments.
All firearm laws are UNCONSTITUTIONAL! The government has no authority to make any laws or regulations against arms per the constitution of the United States.
Yea, well. Here we are.

I have had plenty of professional interactions with ATF on the alcohol side as the head distiller at a distillery. Great 'people' as far as it goes. Personally, I believe that anyone who intentionally pursues a career in the professional pursuit of violating an entire nation of people's RIGHTS, DOES NOT understand the constitution or the Bill of rights and does not have the public's best interest at heart!
They came from the Alcohol Tax Unit, which was a Mafia outfit created to go after small-time entrants to the market, in order to protect the Mafia-controlled importation and distribution routes.
It's all literal organized crime in government. Look at their last names.
Then the whole inspection should be recorded so there are no misunderstandings.
Every time I post the history of the ATU and ATF, it gets deleted.

I'm glad to hear you are ok. My dad didn't make it through his audit. seriously!
He didn’t pass the audit or “didn’t make it through”?!
Seriously though that really sucks for him. Sorry to hear it.
@RARufus he shuffled off during a 3 day audit, the last person he spoke to was the auditor, and they did nothing.
I'm so sorry to hear that. God bless you and your family.
@RARufus Thank you.
My heart aches for your senseless loss friend. I lost my dad over stupidity as well and I miss him so bad all of the time. I don't know what is happening with the world these days other than Evil completely taking over everyone and everything. Everything concerning firearms regulations is pointless in my opinion. Shall not be infringed, is plain enough for anybody. This Dettleback (however you spell it) is truly as dumb as he looks! We must take back our country and restore our Sacred Constitution, or we will have nothing
One aspect I loth about the realm of .gov is how it is always expanding and never contracting. That is on top of unconstitutionally. Does anyone think that DHS is going away anytime soon? We have young Americans that have never known a world without DHS. How about Dept of education?
Local big box ffl near me accidentally sold several complete lowers without doing a 4473. They also sold a high end gun ($1800+) out of the gunsmith book and their digital bound book didn't require a 4437 because the system expected it be returned to the owner not mistakenly sold.
Dang.. that's not minor paperwork errors...someone should be in a lot of trouble not just from ATF but one very disgruntled firearm owner! WOW
Conspiracy charges are a doozy! Aye. ask Matthew Hoover CRS
I have had an 03 FFL for 24 years and have only had one audit . It was the year I bought two crates of unissued sequetially numbered rifles . Ive heard they normally dont audit 03's but since I was close to my limit that year they came out . They were professional and more than anything concerned with proper storage, since that is a lot of rifles . They were both gun guys and the audit was pretty laid back . I got the impression they were sent out by whomever above them to check out some old nerd with a bunch of old guns.
What limit? How does the ATF know what was sent to you? I am an FFL and haven't heard of a limit .
"gun guys" ha! You made a funny!
The BATFE “DOES NOT” have any employee who actually understand the Constitution or even our republican form of “govern”ment.
Glad you're not roomies with Matt Hoover! Not into sales so much? What a coincidence! I'm in California where I cannot mail order.
First, congratulations on a successful ATF audit. Its always good to have that monkey off your back (until the next time). And second, I feel like this video was done for my benefit after the question I asked you the other day. Thank You. Im moving forward. Just submitted my LLC paperwork to the State of Tennessee. Never kick the bear.
Reminder if you are DENIED an FFL they have to pay the fee back. The government doesn't keep it.

Always gotta be careful with the sneaky government. Love the Modern Gun School shirt, glad ur not DED.. Stay safe.
I want to say thanks for being an FFL, my buddy has been in the biz for many a day and there is a mountain of things behind the scenes Mr./Mrs. Shopper has no idea about.
You ain't lying. I have customers bitch about $35 transfer fees. "$35 to run a form???" Yes, $35 to receive your gun, log it in, tag it, call you, store your gun as long as necessary, run your paperwork, follow up on delayed nics checks, transfer the firearm, complete multiple sales forms if necessary, and then file and maintain your paperwork until the end of my professional life. I've worked in different industries prior to the gun industry, and I can tell you, unless you absolutely LOVE firearms and the people that share that love, this is a brutal industry to try and make money in. You can make a lot more money a lot easier in almost any other industry. That being said, I fuckin love my job. The ATF just sucks
6,058,390 NFA items that are known to exist or known to have existed. But again, as you said, that would be the problem with any registry. Hundreds of millions of items that would need to be compiled, people would have to comply, penalties for non-compliance imposed, and that's not even taking into account life-cycle, as items wear out, get replaced, get confiscated, get destroyed, get lost or stolen or fall off the boat in the middle of the lake.
That 3 day statutory wait is a local thing, thankfully we have no mandatory wait time in MN so I’m still fully allowed to make impulse purchases of shinies I don’t really need lol
has anyone ever thought about why the government wants you to be come a FFL if you want to sell 1 firearm? the fact that you loose parts of your 4th amendment rights is probably key.
Did they illegally take pictures of your records for their database like they've been caught doing to other FFL's?
No, they did not.
@@VSO_Gun_Channel I'm shocked. They've been on a roll for doing illegal and unconstitutional things lately. Glad you passed their scrutiny, I still don't trust them as far as I can toss a bus.

If you think FFLS are heavy in documentation. Try working in the Nuclear industry. The amount of paperwork for just one unit is astounding.
Same thing in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Especially when we make morphine and things like that.
The delay if you are under 21 is absolutely mandatory. I work at a gun store. When you complete the background check through NICS it instantly comes back delayed. One or two have come back proceeded before the 10 day but otherwise it will not show a proceed status until the extended date they provide after the initial delay.
Why don't we all get together and sue over the unconstitutional tax stamp for NFA items. The popular YT channels will be the information channels, and The People can donate to this suit.
During our win, the rest of the NFA will be scrutinized by the courts.

I've been in the business for 12 years. My interactions with the ATF have been cordial on one end to unhelpful on the other. It usually skews to unhelpful.
Hey Curtis, what are you using for your bound book? Currently using a paper one but considering something like fastbound. Don’t want something that is high cost however. Also, do you use a separate book for NFA A&D?
Clean. I like the couple of Olights I have. People say Chinese junk but have always worked for me.
I 100% agreed. I too am a FFL/SOT and my interactions with them have always been great. On the 18-20 yr old thing. Is that delay occurring automatically within NiCs or is something FFLs are to do? Because I haven’t seen a delay pop up on 20 yr olds buying shotguns.
As an FFL / SOT I was waiting for a shoe to drop. Good video my man.
I was an FFL holder for 4 years as a gunsmith and i completely agree with your evaluation of the ATF agents. The people that work for the ATF at least the field agents are in fact gun people that disagree with alot that that have to do but have to in order to keep their jobs. Idk about you, but MY FAMILY comes before protecting ANY stranger especially if they are knowing defying the laws in place regardless if you agree with them. No, you do not forfeit any part of your 4th amendment protected rights. The government breaks the law with every inspection they commit.

Exactly this is why i do not have a C&R or any NFA items
Same here! I sure will be picking up some made in Texas suppressors as soon as the lawfare is done! I hope so anyway 🤞
The government doesn't mind wasting time but the individual agents certainly don't want to waste their own time
so are you keeping your status or are you closing down?
"My inspection was flawless!" King George must be very proud of you. One of his favorite serfs no doubt. 😂
So to get a full second amendment you have to get rid of the fourth?
Pretty sure that's not what the founding fathers intended.
As an IT professional and also a fellow 07/02, I can say with 100% confidence that they will need to add some more RAM to that server from the early 2000s that is running the eForms website if they want to ramp things up to have a registry of ALL firearms... In fact, they should use a bit of their budget to get some more RAM anyway. Thats eForms site sucks and is a hot piece of garbage.
They came to my house twice without an appointment, once before I had my FFL.
Sorry to hear about your dog
Also a log for privately owed firearms would run in to the ishue of noncompliance and being non enforceable.

Shall not be infrindged" remember it!
In CT,your address must be "Commercially zoned" - which is how they killed 2/3 of all FFLs, me included.
So here is a regulatory question for you,
If a customer gets delayed to the extremes I’d say 28 days then gets approved on a Friday. Doesn’t come in until day 31. 4473 is now invalid. So customer has to fill out a new one. Is that approval code still valid for the newly complete 4473 or could it trigger another wait and delayed status?
You would be better off emailing/calling the atf field office in your state to get a clear answer. The ones I have talked to have been helpful, for the most part.
Government forms are like high stakes homework.
The ATF could make defense rounds and put them on the market. They would probably sell out ironically. I see miss opportunities. But, not all ideas are for everybody and that I can understand.

For most people a 10 year old refurbished office PC has enough CPU power, though is probably weak on GPU.
I only upgraded from a FX-8350 last year, and only because there was apparently a dependency for a level of GTFO that would crash me back to the menu with FX processors.
I had over 1000 chrome tabs open. AND could play games at the same time.
I'm still running an RX480 (roughly a 1060 if I remember correctly).
I am planning an upgrade but haven't gotten around to it yet...
Most of those older office PC's don't have GPU's. Additionally, most of their power supplies do not have a PCIe plug and the motherboards don't use standard 24-pin motherboard plugs thus requiring a special adapter if you can find one if you want to run a GPU that draws over 75 watts (IIRC). The truth is that unless you plan on gaming you really don't need a GPU.
