  • Amazing waves at Hanakapiai Beach on January 21, 2015. This beach can be very dangerous at times. It's amazing how quickly the water came in at times.

It's like the water is actually daring you to come in, hoping you'll be fool enough to walk in and let the ocean consume you. That surf just looks so predatory and ferocious.

It's _the_ perfect beachfront property ever seen, wow. If it were for sale and had the money, I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat & build a humble beach cottage high up for friends and fam. For me it'd be the changes plus loving incredible waves. It's energy and incredible power that's not harnessed so it takes it's momentum out on the landscape by eating it up unless there's fringe islands or reefs, sandbars help too.
Each time you'd walk down there the landscape would be slightly or radically changed. And with supermoons and high tide, or a super supermoon with high tide? The place where they're taking this video would be underwater.
This beach is so interesting and never heard of it till today. This vid is better than others wave wise (hoping to take great pics or vid to upload, other youtubers go during low tide with tiny waves which isn't very entertaining) where they are kind of weak but that might be from ideas of self preservation and not wanting a rogue to roll through and swallow them all.

But the most dangerous is Reynisfjara, you can’t even swim there.

@@agarrikr2996 Add the Icelandic cold to the ferocious waves and you get no chance of surviving.

I note that for most of the video, the "beach" part is submerged underwater. The surf is dangerous enough during the summer, but even taking a stroll on the sand here during winter is probably not advisable.

There is no reef below the waves near the beach shore which is why the waves come at full force with no reef preventing it from having extreme height or speed, that's what makes the beach dangerous.

Wow. That is totally exposed to the open ocean just like the warnings say.

Make it lucid probably that there is virtually no sand

Make it lucid There is nothing under the water to lessen the power of the waves, such as a reef or sand bar
