One of my all time favorite machines. I played it so much for a short time then have not been able to play one for years. Would love a rerelease.
I have traveled several states away multiple times to play this game at moms organic market for 50 cents a play. Literally would take a trip and spend my entire day there just to play this game since I couldn't get access otherwise. I have barely scratched the surface and moms is closing now too. Jersey city barcade removed theres as of this week as well. It's such a tragedy.
The upper pf is definitely one of the coolest uppers/mechs in pinball.
With unfinished code, it simply cannot be a "best ever." Very very good, yes.
This is by far my favorite table ever. God i wish I could ever afford it/find one. People hate on it because they just don't like jjp flippers and throw the baby out with the bathwater. Dumb. This is the best game ever.
Theme integration is so top tier.
Haters are going to hate, but a lot of it seems to be due to lack of gameplay experience and the high price that the game currently demands due to limited production by JJP.
@bitchinpinball god I hope they re release and finish the dam game like it deserves. There will never be another pin this good UNLESS JJP finishes it and finishes the run.
I missed out on this game and was almost done saving up to get it when they stopped making it. Was gutted. Took a tarrif hit of 3k euro when ordering Guns n Roses because of fomo after this. That game was on the first shipment to hit europe and i loved the reveal video Kevin did with Eriv Meunir. Little did i know i would be surprised by Eric as well when he arranged Slash to sign my playfield and apron together with Axl and Duff at their hotel. God, one day i will own this game. It's still my grail game. Would be sick to have next to my GnR which will never leave.
JJP's POTC is one of my favorite games - very fun and has a GREAT vibe! I've been fortunate to own an LE from the start and it will be one of the last games to leave my collection.
Some thoughts on it after playing it at Next Level Pinball:
I know newer machines won't show mechanical failures the same rate as old ones but I am shocked at how well it holds compared to other companies machines like Spooky's or even modern Sterns.
No lateral translation to another machine, either to another Jersey Jack machine or in general. This might be a positive or negative depending on how you look at it. I personally dislike the in-game screens on the other JJPs but the artwork on all of them are stunning just like this one.
Each section of the playfield feels cordoned off. There's no unexpected bounce shot or anything.
Outlanes, personally hate them here. At least its different.
With the new JJP flipper upgrade I would agree with you. The biggest issues for me was the flipper feel. I would buy if they re-run it.
I just can't get into this game. Reminds me of other JJP games-pretty but not a whole lotta fun. Bright side is your podcast is great. Keep it coming!
Thankfully I can play this table on location... but it really really sucks that most people will never play one, and owning one for a reasonable price is just a dream at this point...
They just removed it from the only location anywhere close to me. And by close I mean two hours. I'm so depressed.
If they rerun this game i will sell my bed to afford it if i have to and sleep on the floor.
Put some cliffys on it! (Tortuga hole especially)
I’ve only played this game a handful of times on location so take that for what it’s worth. I just don’t get the hype at all.

I keep her locked up in her room. If she behaves, we let her out for a stream, once and awhile.

We hope to do another stream in the next few weeks and she should be there.
I love the theme, but the artwork on the playfield sucks and no machine is worth 16k. Never played it, I didn't get into pinball until after covid. Not played much JJP games, but I hear the flippers are trash and were only recently fixed with EJ.
its a really fun table. that rocking upper play field is too fun..

The game for me is a bore. The code to this day is still unfinished. The assets show no actors in the video assets. It's got some of the best mechs in a game for me but it's ultimately wasted. I honestly don't get why you're saying it's the best when it's ultimately flawed.
We spent 45 minutes giving you our reasons, what don't you get?
boring game, no code, shocking build quality and rules of death.
Played one in Jersey City. Heavily overrated.
